I can not stress enough that the 14 day Film Maker is one of the best investments I’ve made. Anthony is not only a master in the subject, but he is really a master as teaching and explaining so well all the theory and practical tips. The Content Creator platform (where the course lives at) is really well built and of easy access to all the videos FOREVER! Awesome videos Anthony, thank you for sharing all your expertise!

As I progress through the course, I’m ignoring all other information here on YT and focusing on your content only. I’m learning so much and only one day in!!! I’m so very thrilled to find the course yesterday! I’ve been binging content across the YT environment for years and believe I can finally put this information into my brain in order lol!!! I’m taking meticulous notes throughout so I can reference them at anytime! 👏👏👏

Two questions: 1) Let's say you're filming solo, and you want to have a shot of yourself, slowly zooming in. So you set up a tripod. Can smartphone videos do the slow zoom in automatically? Is that a feature? I've never heard that as a feature actually. 2) The telephoto lens by Sandmarc, it appears the clip is a separate accessory? It looks like the lens itself screws onto the camera phone lens, specific to each phone, I think.
    Great tips thanks!

    • @MrPaulXavier
      @MrPaulXavier  ปีที่แล้ว +5

Instead of recording the zoom in camera you would use your Editing program to keyframe a subtle zoom in! Much easier and you have the flexibility to use or not use the zoom

Great tips! I also find that having a “soundtrack” in mind, like a specific piece of music or song that would suit the location and the resulting video, can be helpful to determine the pacing, mood and feel of the clips.

Fantastic and helpful video as always!
A public video on storytelling in travel videos would be fantastic.
It’s not just pretty shots, but making a viewer feel something and that’s probably harder than framing and transitions.

We are newbys understanding our iPhone 14 phones/cameras. After watching this video, we decided to sign up for your 14-Day Filmmaker. We are RV content creators and I have all the camera gear and drone but it will take time to learn everything I should know about that equipment before I/we get videos on our TH-cam channel. The one thing that is a constant is that I/we always have my iPhone with me and with that said, I took the plunge and decided to learn everything I can about iPhone video content now. Thank you for this video and the chance to learn more.

Every individual is shaped differently n so is their perception of Cinematography.... Tips are great but end of the day you are unique and so is ur taste... Be yourself and keep in mind the cinema or vlog clips that fascinate you... Ull make several mistakes but learn from it.... No best vlogger has been his best from day 1....
I was a novice to shooting techniques n had zero idea of editing just one year ago plus I'm a single traveler (no shooting help) n started with just a S22 ultra in hand ... I played with editing apps, shooting methods... inshot works great for me on phone and I keep thinking every moment better techniques of editing n shooting... when u r dedicated, ull be better everyday... All the best guys and great tips here 👍

Worth noting that Final Cut Pro X on the Mac (and iPad) is super friendly with HDR footage. The newest version also will automatically grade SDR footage added to an HDR timeline (and vice versa) so the footage blends together.

Got iPhone 15 Max Pro. How do you capture both horizontal AND vertical video? So confused. Are you filming up HZ or VT each shot. Or can you film everything in HZ and still get your VT shots? I don't want to be forced to choose a format. So many vlogs are in HZ and look stunning like yours. But then I see creators posting VT clips from longford video and I’m like how do they do that? Do you just zoom way out to get both?
Thanks for feedback. Great video. I’m learning.

So i want to invest my money on your 14 day Filmmaker course. But i need to ask. Can i download them and just watch offline? Cause availability of the internet might be a bit of a challenge. Secondly i use a Canon M50 with it's kit lens. Would you advise i invest in a better lens? And which lens would you suggest purchase? Or would it be better i just switch to an iPhone? Please reply 🙏🙏

    Hey buddy need ur help.
I'm thinking of upgrading phone. I have Nikon D3300 & OP6. I want to start creating content on TH-cam.
Which phone should I buy?? Thinking iPhone 14 or Samsung S23, but as I'm Android user, iPhone is a big switch & also it needs more care.
But if iPhone really helps a lot for creating content on YT & content will be like Indoor Video and Shorts like you have on some topics. Will use external microphone but my camera is quite old so don't know should I use that to record or get a new phone? Pls Help me.

They’re very close in quality. I think the iPhone 14 is probably 5-10% better so weigh that against the fact that you normally prefer android. I don’t think you can go wrong with either

5:15 Фон на 58мм лінзі, звісно, більш розмитий, але й обличчя більш розмите, ніж на вбудованому об'єктиві праворуч. Порівняйте очі на обох портретах. Праве відео помітно виразніше.

loved the tips on this one! any tips for solo travelers? it can be kind of hard to film these things when you're traveling solo, and asking others can be weird

Tripods and pre planning the scene! That is the best think you can do. That and also keyframing motion while editing

Good video with a lot of useful tips. What is best about this video is that it gives in depth information on all aspects within a few minutes.
