You can NOT adjust the time lapse in the native camera app, but there are 2 ways to slow down time lapses. 1) shoot normal video, then adjust speed in post. 2) use an app like FiLMiC PRO, there are a lot of apps available and many are free. Sorry I can't recommend one as I do not use any. I use my smooth 4 gimbal.
Sorry I do not know. I only use iphones. If it has a timelapse setting then basically yes. Or, if not then do like I did shoot normal video, speed up in post.
Unfortunately there is no way to select an interval setting. The only way to kind of adjust that is by video length. Check this guys calculator out. gohustl.co/time-lapse/iphone-time-lapse-calculator/
I have not had to plug into a charger. The longest I have done is 1hr. As long as the phone is recording video, it will not sleep. Interesting question, I have no idea how long it will record for. it may get to hot and turn off, or it may simply run out of power in time. Oh, and if you run out of storage.
You can also change the exposure, in this mode, up or down stops. Handy, shame it is limited though and at the $700 price point NOT standard. The phone, inbuilt EDITOR, NOT IMOVIES, but the editor you can edit the entire video clip….pretty cool.
Is there any way to separate the images once the hyperlapse is finished? I need to stabilize a rotation point but the point changes from frame to frame.
Not really. In a video editor you can check the frames. You may have to try stabilize each frame independently. If you shoot normal video then speed in post for the hyperlapse effect, you can se more FPS. Depending on what FPS you set. There is always the old school way. take a picture, move, take a picture, move, etc. then compile hundreds of individual images in an editor.
I think you mean Timelapse. Hyperlapse is basically a moving timelapse. Theoretically it could, but it won't work to well and most phones you can't set the interval. There are APPS available that are made for timelapses, with that, then yes you could. For flower blooms you are really going to have to play around with the interval setting, as flower types all bloom differently time wise. Tip, keep the phone in Airplane Mode.
No gimbal used in this video. The Hyperlapses where both handheld. I think your referring to the Zhiyun Smooth 4 gimbal from my other video. Yes, The Iphone 11 and the gimbal work well together.
@@MichaelCGrayPhotography Pretty awesome how smooth they turned out handheld. You've got great technique. Thanks for sharing with the class in your other video!
Okay, let me see if i can explain it. See the button you press to start to record? after you press it, watch how it spins around in a clockwise fashion? one full rotation, then it takes a photo, then another full rotation then it takes another photo, again and again till you stop it. Apple then combines it all into one video.
I love doing Hyperlapses and Timelapses. Have you tried any with your smartphones?
cool
A lot! But theyre way too fast. Any app recommendations to slow them down?

Nice one sir, please do more tutorial videos on iphone video filming
Aamir, have you seen the other videos on here I did with the Iphone? There will be more in the future to.
Hey! You’re right across the river from me! 👋
I'll wave next time I'm at the bridge. Can't wait for things to get back to normal at the bridge crossing.
Great video! I’ve wanted to create a time lapse of setting up my portable home photography studio and didn’t know how. Thank you!
You're very welcome!
Wow nice!! How did you keep your phone so stable when you’re doing the Hyperlapse?
I used the small Joby gorillapod you see in the thumbnail. It was not windy, so it worked okay.
Great summary
Thank you.
Thank u for this great explanation
You are welcome!
Hey that was a great lesson, very nice explained. Thanx
Thank you, glad you found it helpful.
Does the Google pixel do basically the same thing.? I got the Google pixel 5. Just wondering?
Sorry I do not know. I only use iphones. If it has a timelapse setting then basically yes. Or, if not then do like I did shoot normal video, speed up in post.
How do you change the interval time? It looks stuck on 5 seconds.

Do you have to plug the iPhone to a charger? How long can you film? 8 hours? Also will it stop filming if it goes into lock or sleep mode? Thank you

It is amazing what phones can do now.

Thanks for this great video, explaining things in layman‘s terms was awesome. Cheers from WhiteHorse, Yukon.
Your welcome. Happy it helped.

Thinking of doing a TL of me building birdhouses in my shop.
That would be fun. I love doing and watching timelapses.
Good video. Very informative & straightforward.
Thank you. Happy you found it helpful.
great job need content like this
Thank you. There is more like this to come.
Great video. Thanks
Thank you, glad you like it.

Thank you, lots of practice starts to pay off :-)
Is time lapse video recorded in ultra wide?
That was a long while ago I made that video. I can't say for sure, but it looks like I did use the wide angle lens
Which phone case is that in the video ?
That is the Apple clear case, from Apple. I have a new case I use now. The clear one is pretty slippery to hold.
How much memory does it take to create a time lapse is my question? I bought the 11 without a lot of memory.
To give you a rough idea. This WHOLE video is 872mb. Hope that helps.
Thank you sir
Your welcome.
I couldn’t find the time lapse mode on my phone
If you are using an Iphone, then when you open the camera app, it will be in the bottom far left. It says photo, video, slo-mo, timelapse, etc.
4K 1080 the average person can’t tell the difference anyway.
Very true, I think you don't really start to see the difference till it is being displayed on 50" + screen.
Hello

None of this makes sense

U could have been in more practical than explaining too much , or else u could have explained all this while shooting
There are many ways to explain a technique, I try to keep it very simple. Maybe I'll try to talk a little less in the future.
