I was stationed in Germany (US Army) in 1982-83. This song and other Def Leppard songs were always being played on my Walkman portable cassette player :)
Biss - this is 80's rock at it's finest. They called it "Pop Metal." RIP to rhythm guitarist and Def Leppard's main songwriter Steve Clark, who drank himself to death. They have never been the same since he passed.
Def Leppard has a pretty decent catalog of songs (Rock of Ages, Pour Some Sugar on Me, Armageddon, Animal). It is a band that also had its share of tragedy. The drummer lost his arm in a car accident. His bandmates elected to wait for him as he recovered and retrained himself to play the drums with one arm (as seen in later music videos). Years later, their lead guitarist drank himself to death. Arguably, a top ten eighties rock band.
1st… I grew up on this type of music 80s hair metal good stuff Def Leppard was a good band! Bisscute, I don’t know if you know it or not, but the drummer when he was younger in the band still had a terrible car accident. He lost his arm and the band is such nice guys. They waited around for him and never replaced him as a drummer, he had a professional electronic drum kit made up so he could play with one arm.
I remember when this came out, some older musicians told me they could never do this sound quality live. I went to see them at a Toronto Hockey hall and they nailed it! Excellent young band on their first big tour. Good memories.
That's because Mutt Lange made them do it over and over and over and over and over (getting annoyed yet?) and over and over again. Rick at one point threw his sticks at the control room out of frustration. Joe, who was pissed off as well, talked about taking a break and walked to the other studio next to them and watched David Coverdale nail his stuff in one take. Mutt was a militant on that album.
Hi biss this is a great song I always crank it up they have great harmonys thy were really popular in the 80s your another buitiful woman biss in your own way nice reaction have a fun day❤😊
This song takes me back to being the outsider in high school (late 90s-early 2000s) because I listened to nothing but 80s rock and metal 😂 I did a presentation for one of my master's program college classes recently where I talked about parasocial relationships. It's something that I never really knew about before, or at least that it had a name and that people studied them for research.
As a rock band from the heyday of music videos in the 80's, Def Leppard is one of my favorite bands. You should also check out this group that had hits during the same era! "RATT - Round And Round"

That album tour was my first concert. Never paid enough attention to the lyrics to realize what they meant. I thought it was a relationship with long periods of separation, which is why I was motivated to listen to this song. I was just looking at my gf's photograph, can't wait till friday ... lol.
Back in the 80s if you were in high school and couldn't find a girlfriend you could just listen to a heavy metal band and they would show up in your bed room with a bunch of groupies to make your high school crush jealous. It was win win.
Saw them - and this track - live, on the Pyromania Tour, June 1983 the day after I graduated High School. You have no idea Biss, how big this band was - this song was - that year. Pyromania was a great record. Also, the "Fantasy" theme in this track was popular too. At the same time, Triumph had a song called "World of Fantasy" and Aldo Nova had a song called "Fantasy". All unrelated, but an interesting coincidence. You can catch Triumph's World of Fantasy at the US 83 Festival - the same show that you've reacted to the other two Triumph songs you've seen. I'm biased having been a late teen - early 20's dude during that time, but the 80's will always be the best era for rock to me.
Early 1980s. His "feel like a child" comment meant something different back then. Like a woman so beautiful and enthralling that she can turn men into mumbling, bumbling, lovesick school boys (teens). And back then, we were teens. ;-) They made music to speak to the young generation, not the adults. 'We' were the biggest consumers. 'We' bought the albums, Tshirts, posters, concert tickets. 'We' watched MTV. Not our parents.
On many Reactor channels the reactions are all business. But on this channel, the reactions are Bissness. And Bissness means FUN! Thanks for another great reaction! More Cowbell!
Last year, on my 18th birthday, my dad and I traveled all the way from Ankeny, Iowa to Omaha, Nebraska to see Def Leppard in concert. They were co-headlining with Motley Crue, and Alice Cooper was the opening act
Joe Elliott (vocals) of Def Leppard wrote 'Photograph' in 1982 (released in 1983 from their 3rd album 'Pyromania') about obsessing over a poster of Marilyn Monroe, who was considered the 'ultimate beauty' ... a pin-up fantasy woman for many boys. The music video itself was based on the many rumors & speculation that circled in the press about Marilyn Monroe's death... She had numerous marriages and affairs (including w/ President JFK Jr.) and many believe she was murdered. We now know that she had a bad drug habit after her career started to wane as she got older. She was found dead in 1962 at age 36... Toxicology found that she had OD'd on barbiturates and no foul play was suspected. Women even obsessed over Marilyn Monroe - late Playboy model Anna Nicole Smith said she believed that Marilyn was her 'real' mom (even though Anna was born in 1967)... but she also died the same way as her idol - she OD'd on prescription drugs in 2007.
One of my favourite songs from Def Leppard. It might now be from a new cover vocalist called Biss. No they were a great band first time in ages listening to them just might have to pull up some more stuff from them.Loved your reaction❤

Oh, snap! Ha! I see I'm not the first to say this, but I just noticed that Rick Allen still has both of his arms in this one. Can't remember if this has come up before, and others have just said, but the drummer Rick Allen was in a car crash, maybe a year or two after this, and lost his left arm, but stayed with the band and developed a way to keep playing with one arm.
"Pyromania" my first cassette too, although I may have purchased "Back In Black" at the same time (must have been rich, lol). I would listen to 9 songs straight through but often skip "Photograph". A bit too played out on the radio, and a little too poppy. Didn't quite go with the hard rock edge of some of the other songs. "Die Hard to the Hunter" was my favorite.
great song reaction biss! brings me good memories hearing this song, its a great song! def leppard one of my favs! love it! have a nice day good vibes and much love!

Marilyn Monroe was killed by government operatives but it was covered up as a drug overdose. Sad, but it was back when boinking the President and raising a stink about it was not a very good idea. This song was on a remarkable album, so many great songs. I remember one day when my middle daughter was only a year-and-a-half old and was waddling through the living room. MTV was on and "POUR SOME SUGAR ON ME" was playing. She stared at it for a moment, went over to the remote and somehow knew which button to poke to crank it up. Then she stood in front of the TV, just a few feet away, and started dancing. Now, every time I hear a Def Leppard song from that album, it takes me back to Toni's first dance.

@@markbailey3225 actually, I stood in line at a local mall for hours to get their autograph, when their pyromania album came out. So don't tell me im not a fan you snowflake. @markbailey3225 actually, I went to go see them on their pyromania tour. So don't say im not a fan you snowflake. Like a lot of bands, they made it big on their early good songs and then started spewing commercial vomit living off the early legacy and brand they created
Great song, I've listened to this song for 40 years and never understood the lyrics, so you mumble your own and no one ever catches you either because they don't understand them either because the music is fantastic.
Another one on that subject is "Every Breath You Take" by the Police. I don't know if you have done any songs by the Police yet. Their front man Sting. Every Breath You take was a massive hit for them.
Two things. First, this was the song that turned me into a Def Lep fan back in the day...though, admittedly, it took me a while to warm up to the song. But once I warmed up to the song, I turned into a huge fan of both the song and the band. Second, you've hit a couple of songs from their "Hysteria" album...and now you've touched on the "Pyromania" album. Now, it's time to go all the way back to their "On Through The Night Album" (their first album): "Hello America" - th-cam.com/video/YTwEfAwX3ig/w-d-xo.html
For me, I think this is their best song. It’s really a fun one to sing along to. And I think this song is, definitely, about an unhealthy obsession… so, you’d better becareful Bissute, this song could, potentially, be about you… 😂😂 No! But, seriously, your mom is right, there are a lot of crazies out there! So becareful…. “Where is the cowbell?!” 😂😂😂 Best wishes! And God bless! Keep the reactions coming 😉
This was Def Leppards breakout hit. You may have noticed that the drummer had both arms in this photograph (video). Yes, it's,s about obsession from afar. I know you would understand ❤😊. Marry me Bisscute 😅! React to their song Foolin' next. Thanks ❤.
Hi, Biss! I was looking through your old reactions, and wondering if you've ever heard of a group called Blood, Sweat and Tears from back in the 60's/70's? if not, I think you might really enjoy them. They had a big, brassy jazzy/blues/rock sound with some really interesting arrangements. Excellent musicians all around. God Bless The Child would be a good first listen if you're interested and have the time. Take care! 😊
I advise you to watch the band's performance after 1987 and pay attention to the drummer. Yes. The band has a history worthy of a feature film. It was filmed in the 90s
these are fairly good rock & metal bands of the 80's late 70's start. Which I grew up in my late teens early 20's. and so glad that wimpey New Wave Pop/rock crap made them sound even better!
Biss(cute), Trust me when i say this.. You are absolutely gorgeous with a great sense of humor! I'm not surprised to hear about all the marriage proposals lol.. Though i consider wedding proposals to someone you never met to be abit "out there" you are most definitely a precious gem! ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤
Dont sell yourself short Biss, you are not only beautiful you are so damn cute and funny with a big beautiful heart ♥ One more thing, I think you should do another KISS reaction and I think you'd love " Heavens on Fire " official video, stay safe ♥
A very popular video on EmptyV, back in the day, but a banger of a stalker-song. 😁 And Marilyn did of a self-induced overdose of barbiturates -- suicide.

Best wishes!
Thanks ❤.
Deaf Lepers got quite a few bangers.
About time ❤
'Animal' is, in my opinion, their best song.
Take care! 😊
Great song. Great video. Great reaction. And you can never have too much COWBELL! 😂
Danzig the lead singer is 5"3' previously a member of the band "Misfits".. After he left he started working out and doing steroids.
MTV edited out the knife - it was later re-edited back in
I advise you to watch the band's performance after 1987 and pay attention to the drummer.
Yes. The band has a history worthy of a feature film. It was filmed in the 90s
these are fairly good rock & metal bands of the 80's late 70's start. Which I grew up in my late teens early 20's. and so glad that wimpey New Wave Pop/rock crap made them sound even better!
I was 14 in 1983, it was a good year.
Cow bell is on rick allens drum set
Adorable Ms Bisscute 💚
Biss(cute),
Trust me when i say this..
You are absolutely gorgeous with a great sense of humor! I'm not surprised to hear about all the marriage proposals lol..

Welcome Bisscute, to the Wonderful World of 80s Videos!
This was the very first riff I ever learned on the guitar Biss BTW.
For me, this album is when Def Leppard was really good.
Dont sell yourself short Biss, you are not only beautiful you are so damn cute and funny with a big beautiful heart ♥ One more thing, I think you should do another KISS reaction and I think you'd love " Heavens on Fire " official video, stay safe ♥
Miss Bisscute, try their song, Lady Strange. Its about you baybay! 🙃
Аплодисменты музыкантам! 👏
Цветы Мэрлин Монро! 🌹🌹💕
A very popular video on EmptyV, back in the day, but a banger of a stalker-song. 😁
And Marilyn did of a self-induced overdose of barbiturates -- suicide.
My favorite Leppard song and that's a tough choice. Soundtrack of my high school years.
So beautiful.
Def Leppard, Bringing On The Heartache. Your welcome
There was a question someone asked on Threads, to name a famous Romanian without googling and I posted "Bisscute" 😅
