The guitarist, Brian May, wrote Fat bottomed girls. "Get on your bikes and ride" references another song called "Bicycle Race" which is great. In that song they have a lyric witch references this song. It's hyperlinked.
I almost fell of my chair when you said "fat Fanny the naughty Nanny". Here in Australian "Fanny" has a different meaning! _You really made me chuckle._ I grew up listening to Queen... They rock. *Thanks for the reaction, Thumbs up!*
Bisscute blushing 😊! 😂😂. Yes, this was early Queen (1978) and banned on many radio stations at the time. Stations would play the singles flip side Bicycle Race. Loved the promo photo on that song!🔥🔥
In 1978 Queen sponsored a nude all-female bicycle race. There was a poster from it featured in their album" Jazz" that this song and "Bicycle Race" were on. Both songs were inspired by the race and were often-times played back-to-back on the radio.
How could you not love this song?? It’s so damn catchy!! It will be living rent free in your head much longer than a few days! I really hope you do Bicycle Race next!!!
The album this was on, Jazz, also features a song called Bicycle Race. Included with the album was a small poster that showed dozens of naked women on bikes lined up to start a race.
If you want the same Queen vibe and era, your next song should be Bicycle Race. Fat Bottomed Girls and Bycyle Race came out together as the only 2 song's on a 7" single. Both songs have a line in it referencing the other song.
When you have a band with this much talent and a singer with such vocal talent and charisma you can write a song about anything and make it sound good.
Queen has the 2 most played songs in the US. All across the sports venues in the US, the song We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions are played every day without fail.
Their royalties must be off the charts. I first listened to Queen as a kid back in the early 80’s. My parents were ok as long as they didn’t understand the lyrics.
I just subbed a few days ago I really enjoy your reactions mostly of movies and it helps me relax. I find it cool that you talk about stuff a lot and give your opinion rather than just watching it. Awesome Channel 😁
imho - "Jazz" is Queens best album overall, and this song is just an example of this. It also amazes me how kids these days are so ... err ... well. He is singing about life, nothing to be nervous about, nothing to be ashamed of.

Had some " Fat Bottom Girls " rock my world more than a couple of times. 🤣🤣 Brian May the guitarist wrote this. Like me, he likes the Boom Boom. God bless ya, Lovely.
Brian May wrote this song as a response to what he witnessed backstage at a show one night, as he saw a variety of curvaceous women (and men) coming and going from Freddy's dressing room.
Old enough to remember buying the album came with a poster of naked models in athetic socks & sneakers posing with bicycles!😁 What every early teenage boy needed!
“ left alone with big fat Fanny. She was such a naughty nanny. Heap big woman you made a bad boy out of me” my favorite verse. I’ve been a rocker/metalhead since I was eight years old, 1974. This song has been one of my favorite songs since the first time I heard it. Definitely have an appreciation for a nice plump rump😂, Fat Bottom Girls, definitely make the rockin world go round. Great reaction.👏👏👏👏
How come Freddy Mercury can say this with women dancing and cheering, but I just get slapped? Great classic Queen tune! We should create a genre of songs about women's behinds, include Sir Mix-A-Lot's "Baby Got Back".
They have sooooooooooooooo many great songs. My favorite is one of their not as popular ones I'd guess. I love Queen - Innuendo (Official Video). I know the system doesn't like links, so I put it just put the title in. So many changes in this song. I love contrast and this one has that for sure. Have a great one Bis.
The song “Fat Bottomed Girls” by Queen is a tribute to the positive treatment of one's own body and an ode to the beauty and strength of women. Although seemingly focused on women with bigger b*tts, the song is ultimately about enjoying and appreciating all kinds of beauty and diversity among women. Another fantastic reaction from you.
Hi Biss [was you blushing a bit there???] Great song from there 7th studio album Jazz released 1978 and its Queen what more can one say. Loved your reaction as always♥
This was a double A side single with "Bicycle Race" off of their album "Jazz". The video of Bicycle Race is a risqué one with dozens of young ladies riding bikes in nothing more than sneakers and bike helmets. In fact, the album came with a two foot by one foot poster of the ladies in the sleeve. By the way, this is great live, saw it done in '80 & '82.
I thought your reaction to this song was adorable….. 🥰 I loved it….. I am still smiling 😊. There was an old Poltergeist case from London where they called the spirit. "Scratching Fanny"🤭
I heard the expression: "smells like a f****ng disco fanny", understand what that means 😅
I know in Britain the word's been used to describe a particular area of the female anatomy. Here in the U.S. "fanny" is slang for the "rear end."
Yeah it has the same meaning in UK, although it was a woman's name in the old days too. Hee hee.
