Amazing guide as always! I just installed this AIO into my system a few days ago, and one thing worth noting is that the USB-C cable going into the pump block requires an extraordinary amount of force to be fully inserted. When I first booted up my system the screen and ARGB strips kept turning off after a few seconds and I thought I had a faulty unit. Turns out you just need to push the cable in with A LOT of force for it to click into place. Hope this helps anyone else that may run into the same issue.
I'm going to pin this one. I did notice that but forgot to mention it in the voiceover :)
no wonder people complain the unit did not work.
" extraordinary amount of force to be fully inserted." ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. I went through ALOT of headache becaue of this. YOu have to push enough until you hear/feel a CLICK. When you feel that, it means it's finally connected.
ALSO. Word of warning. LConnect 3 software that is use to control the AIO, LCD and aRBGs, does NOT like iCue, Asus Crate and the Fusion RGB. I am yet to find a software that I can use to control the lights on my Consair memory cards and my Consair K70 motherboard because the Lconnect cannot control them. It's horrible in that regard.
LASTLY. IF you are planning to use additional Fininity fans, you MUST double check that you have more than TWO USB2 motherboard ports. If you do not have more than do then you need to buy a internal USB2 hub such as NZXT Internal USB 2 hub. Buy that additionally and you'll be golden.
This is 100% needed to be said with the instructions for sure. Thank you!
Thanks god I came to the comments🙏
Fantástic Nick…loved the videos about the fractal terra…you gave all the calls about the problems I could find and between you and GN i managed to have a great build made…keep the good work …and the sense of humor.
Nick, probably the best video I've seen yet on this AIO. THANK YOU!
You're a god for this detailed guide. I'm new to building pc's and this is exactly what I needed - thanks so much!
This one should be a winner for the channel. Great video! The community needs this goodness
Banger of an install video fams. Keep up the hard work
Great video! I was stuck on my installation and this video solved all my issues!!! Thank you!
Great tutorial man! All the camera angles are A+
Love these videos Chef, those fans were still raw, slow simmer for 4 hours (like, who has time for that). I installed my first liquid cooler yesterday, it is amazing how low the temps get.
Great video as usual. Completely unrelated, my kids heard me watching one of your videos the other day and asked me "What episode of Bluey are you watching dad?"...it took them a second to realize that you weren't Bluey's dad, but now they want to watch with me to hear your voice. Next generation of Gearseekers loading!!
Hahah that's amazing!
Great video guys, best useful for those installing the specific AIO or others similar.
looking into building a new gaming pc and this cooler looks amazing! Love the big square lcd on which you can project so many things. Never ever build a pc before, so video(s ike this one are a real blessing to me.
Very informative. Looking forward to using this cooler
Awesome tunes just as always Nick❤
Great video.. You are the best at showing steps in the installation process. cheers ..
Thank you!
This really looks like a nice cooler!!! Thanks!!!
Gotta love this guy's sense of humor 😂
chef nick my glorious king thank you for the guide, I love you
Banger install guide fams.
That’s pretty dope, I have an all Lian-Li fan setup with the original Galahad and AL120 fans (10x) in my O11D-Evo. I will probably update to this new AiO and matching SL Infinity fans when I update my whole rig for 50 series (currently on 3090Ti and DDR4)
RGB Tutorial .. you need to do a hand holding RGB tutorial using all sorts of different fans, RAM, motherboards, cases, GPUs, water blocks, etc. LED RGB setup and configuration video. I'm an experienced builder and every RGB setup at best is a nightmare to take care of. Often I find myself having to reinstall windows from all the weird conflicts from RGB software.
great install video guys, that record function is super sick thanks chef nick
thanks for the tutorial installation
Looks great, how are the fans for noise? I need a really really quiet system.
And if I purchased the case fans too how do they connect to be in sync?
Awesome vid. Quick question. I got the infinity version. I have the infinity fans in case already. They came with a different cable it plugs into the controller with one cable. The Galahad has a cable with a 2 plug into controller. Do u think I can put the 1 plug from the triple pack on the Galahad so I only have one controller instead a controller for Galahad and controller for fans
Does it matter the direction of the pump when mounting to mobo? So like both tubes coming out the right side, the top side, the bottom side , or the left side are all ok or like only a few orientations are ok? Ty for the video!
What’s the other connector on the pump for? The one below the C port
Definitely recommend nylon washers for installing radiator. Prevents radiator leakage from over tightening of screws causing damage.
Badass Mounting set up..
I am about to put this exact AIO in this case so would like to know if you can plug the front 160mm fans into the controller or should I either leave them plugged into the included hub or just plug them directly into the motherboard?
Great video. I am stumped on something, maybe you can help. I have the GA LCD cooler AND a triple pack of 120mm infinity sl fans (which has its own controller). How can I connect both hubs up to the PC? Can each hub be connected to a usb port on the motherboard?
Thank you chef Nick! I am using Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE AX. It seems like the pump 4-pin header is at the bottom of the MB... Will it be okay if I plug the pump top to CPU_OPT instead? Thanks!
This water cooling has the lcd on the fans aswell? Or a need to get then apart
Great guide.
Shows that lianlis "manual" is so inadequate that it's mind boggling.
Just found the channel and I love it! A little question for my upcoming build, I’ll be running an additional 4x uni inf 120 fans and 2x 140 of the same. Do I need to download both versions of the software or can I do everything from the one version? Thanks!
This is best wiring video i ever seen for Galahad LCD.
Quick question.
Is cables enough for other reverse infinity fans ? I have 6 of them
on my aorus x670e master board i only have a cpu opt and a cpu fan and a sys_fan8_pump on the top of my board where should i plug the pump cable greetings friend and what speed of pump and fans did you use and what firmware do you have and how did you update it to make it right.
Hi, new pc builder here. Can I also connect the 3 daisy chained fans to the controller? Thank you so much. 🎉
Can you switch between the new and old power cables with these models? Everything works except my fans because I am using the wider other version than what was provided.
I wonder if I can use ga lcd with inf fan and my other tl fans in l3 connect software together
at @7:16 you say that cable is optional but not why you would or wouldn't use it ? Also, what is the other port on the side of the LCD screen beside the type c used for? Thank you
Hi, new pc builder here. Can I also connect the 3 daisy chained fans to the controller? Thank you so much.
I wanted one of these until I found out there is a recall on them that is posted on the Lian Li website. I have the Galahad and it works great but the Galahad two lcd looks awesome!
Is the pre paste good enough. I seen people get rid of it !
Ans apply their own?
How much better is the performance between the lcd version and the Trinity SF?
Did you get the controller with the Gala or with Fans? I didn't receive a controller with my Gala.
I bought the same aio but my question is I know it has pre apply themo paste but do you still have to put more thermo paste on the cpu just in case it’s not enough ?
Great video but what is the second outlet for on the pump head? The cable goes to the pump head and splits to sata and a couple others I can’t remember. Is it not needed?
Iv got the same question and there’s no manual in the box
What is the pass through cable for?
Listen mister Nick. I love your content and I love Lian Li products so this was always going to be a banger... but mate, you need to start using nail clippers if you're going to be a hand model hahah
is it true that Lconnect 3 doesn't have coolant temperature as a sensor? I worry that the fans will ramp up and down pointlessly if they are following CPU package temps. I am returning a new icue link h150i elite because it has a Coolit pump that has to stay at high rpm. I am thinking of buying this Lian Li AIO instead because of the 8th gen Asetek pump.
Can i use the pwm functions through motherboard and the argb with Asus aura sync or have i to install l-connect?
nice helped me
The decent framerate of the display is a winner. Your friends could get up to all sorts of mischief with that screen record software if you left them alone with your pc for 5 minutes though.
I don’t see the secondary download on the LianLi website, I’ve tried to follow their “firmware update guide” but it just says it’s the latest version and I don’t have any LCD tab on the software, can you possibly provide the download link?
Is the fans pwm control based on water temperature or CPU temp?
Can you please compare the colling performance with galahad 2 performance. I am not sure why they are released home grown pump in ga2 and asetek in lcd version within 2-3 months. My ga2 performance stopped working withinn a month making me wonder if lian li pumps are not that reliable and thats why they shifted to asetek.
That cooler looks great and the software is good to Nice 😜👍🏻🤣
Why is your rpm for the AIO fans showing 0 rpm (located on the left side above the pump rpm). Mine is doing that too now. Could you please explain? Is it because of the pass through cables?
Why is the pwm and rgb pass through cable optional? What is that anyways?
Nice Guide! But i have a problem and i cant figure it out. If i record my screen and press import... the video is gone. Same thing with mp4 uploads.
My question is can I sync all my 7 fans ( UNI FAN SL-INF ) which are on one fence 3...second fence another 3 and standalone....They all have their own controller .....( Lian Li GALAHAD II LCD 360 ) has a completely different controller... I would be very grateful to learn how all this can be synchronized
Great AIO. A little expensive but really cool.
My MOBO has both a CPU_FAN1 and PUMP_FAN1. Which one should I use for PWM connector? Thanks!
I have a question: (bad english sorry)
If I already have sl-inf fan and L-connect3 controller, should i need duo controller for both fans and bump?
RSVP
So how does does this work if I already have 2 x3 fans packs of the infi fans and reverse blade fans?
stumbled across this guide, thank you for putting this together. I don't understand why the fan config on this AIO is set to exhaust the case air out the top. I would think, and I tend to configure, CPU AIO cooling to pull outside fresh cool air in through the radiator and not push hot case air through a hot radiator. Would love to hear your perspective on it. I would have flipped those fans over frankly. Curious to hear your thoughts, and others that follow you.
Exhausting air out the top is the optimal setup because the front for you case should be set to intake.
Hey i have a question, if you use the sl 120 v2 fans on it instead of the infinity fans how do you wire it?
Did you find an answer? I'd assume you would only need the V2 controller then.
Hi, new builder here. Want to ask if I can also put 3 chained infinity fans onto this controller?
Also wanting to know this. Have bought a 3 pack ontop of this pump. but cant get them to go
Love the apron chef lol
It's a vibe :D
Hey do you have a video on your personal audio production build (I’m presuming you have one?!). Keep up the good work.
I've switched over to using the Mac Studio for music production - I'm finding that it's getting out of the way and just letting me focus on creating without worrying about hardware/software etc. You can check out my old rig in this video, I still have it just not using it. th-cam.com/video/-DYrKqxzs4g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=GXlFcSh4qI5FPaJe
@@GearSeekers ah fair play, awesome man good luck :)
Where did he plug the other end of the usb port around the 9:25 mark
Very informative vid! I'm having a problem with the LCD panel screen not showing anything but the LL Logo. I have it hooked up right just like you and everyone has said to. Everything else in the app works fine, except the screen shot of the LCD block head picture in the app itself is blank in several places in the app that it shows up. None of the themes in the GA II LCD part of the app will work! I have the latest version (2.04) and the latest firmware 0.9. Any help would be appreciated, lot of $$$ for the main attraction not to work. Thanks! Ciao
having the same problem. it just started two days ago but before that it was working fine
I am having the same issue. Likely buggy software.
Uninstall absolutely EVERYTHING including the registry using Revo Uninstaller. When you have done that, go to Program Files and delete the Liam Li folder. When you've done that, reset your PC and load windows again. When windows is loaded, install the latest version of the L-Connect 3 software. The GA II LCD should work.
If you still having problems, make sure your CPU actually see the LCD controller by going to Control panel / Adminstrative Tools / Computer Management / Device Manager / Universal Serial bus Devices. If you just have the AIO only, you should see two connections, "LianLi-GA_II_LCD_v0.1" and "LianLi-SL-infinity-v1.4". If you just see the infinity v1.4 only that means your USB connection is not properly fitted into your AIO head, meaning you need to open your PC and push the USB in there a little harder.
If you see the LCD part and you are still facing problems, you need to contact Lian Li directly and the fastest way from my experience is via Reddit. Before going to contact them, go to EVENT VIEWER and check if any errors messages comes up under the Lian Li application for it would be a good idea to have that to hand.
Just in case, if you are thinking of re-installing the firmware, do not do it until Lian Li recommends you to do so.
I hope you get it solved.

I hope you get it solved. Yes, the software indeed has been very buggy, but I hope my last interactions with Lian Li has helped improved that as I have been talking to them when there was a whole host of problems. Oh yes, there are planning to release a new update to LConnect 3 soon. Their biggest issue is the software is still having issues with the aRGB of certain motherboards.
Best Lian Li Galahad II LCD SL-INF 360. :)
You missed one connection on the pump with 2 connectors?? Did you just leave it unplugged?
Diffrence between this and lian li galahad ii lcd SL-INF ?
hi, im stuck here with the setup. I bought 3 pack lian li fan that use totaly diferent type of conector from fan to the module. . Can I just use the module from triple pack to conect the galaha 2 lcd aio inf? i do have spare conector from diferent style, that i can replace on the fans of the aio galaha 2 lcd.
No you can’t
Actually it might work but not sure what did you end up doing?
A 420 AIO would be nice to fill out O11 evo XL
My biggest question that I can’t find the answer to. If I run a 9-10 lian li fans, can it all go to the aio controller or do I need to have a separate controller for the fans since the triple pack cable is different from the aio.
You can buy all the singes you need and daisy chain them to the AIO controller
Hi Tobias, I've the same qu😅 What was your solution?
@@bozoqturkmni8137 I bought 10 singles and return my triple pack fans. The 10 singles are separated into 4 single connections after daisy chaining them. Connected them to the AIO and worked perfectly. And in my case is only 1 single controller.
How come you have zero fan rpm for the aio fan?
nice
Can i use the control for the infinity fans instead of the galahad lcd controller. The connectors for infinity are thinner and are not split.
Hi, I've now the same question 😅 What was your solution?
Me too pls answer
I had really bad luck with this Aio it seems. Bought one, leaking in the box. Got a quick RMA with the company I bought from and they replaced with a fresh one, still unopened with all wrapping on packaging etc, second one also leaking... Replaced that one decided I didn't trust it after 2 leaking units in a row and replaced it with a different brand cooler.
The thing is a friend of mine is making a build and just kinda finished it, his pc works. But the fans on his AIO cooling are not working, does anyone know what might be a common issue here bcs all the cables are corretly installed
I've bought the 280 version of that cooler about a week ago. Unfortunately it seems like I got a faulty unit as the water pump is so loud above 2700 rpm that it is unacceptable. Sounds like a mini jet engine. Also there is a lot of issue with software. I use AL120 v2 fans for the rest of the system. First it would crash all the time. Then it would not recognize the device until recent update. Now every time I start the software it resets all the settings for the fans. Also when change the fans to spin up based on GPU temp it does not provide accurate temp of GPU.
I use it with AMD 7600X in Lian Li O11 Air Mini and at full load it keeps the CPU temp at about 84 C. Rad is install in front of the case. Unfortunately there is not a lot of space behind As my GPU is about 320 mm long so that leaves about 0.5 cm space between.
Sorry for causing any inconvenience and thank you to address the issue. we recognize the reset fan setting issue is a bug and we're working on this. We'll provide the latest version soon.
I have the 240 at the back in my Mini, shame you can't fit a 280 in it. Not sure where to put it if I got a 280
great video chef, can I have your cookbook ?
I like to call it the "Cooked Book" 🤣
I’ve recently installed it in my pc everything is working except the lcd screen it’s just black and the pump runs at full rpm I’ve tried the firmware update that lian li has on their website but it still isnt working and it also disconnects at random moments making the usb sound i’ve plugged in everything and made sure its all the way in like they said on their website but its still not working properly, the problem is mainly the lcd screen. Do you have any solutions for me ?
Unplug from the USB header on your motherboard and replug while the system is running. Also make sure all the cables are plugged in properly. The USB cable to the pump top needs to be plugged in quite firmly from memory. Double check :)
My AIO is only a month old and the screen freezes all the time and it will be stuck on the logo and there is nothing I can do to fix it with out fully shut down not restarting
i am new to building pcs can anyone tell me what the optional wire is for its at 8:35 ,thanks
If only I could get some money back on the hundreds i've spent on corsair ql fans and coolers and lcd screens then I would be pretty keen to swap over to one of these with a full set of reverse inf fans.
Sell them
Sold!!
You didn't go into explanation for the other plug in on the pump head.
Anyone know if this will fit on a strix b650e-e. Wondering if the amd brackets will clear the capacitors down side of cpu socket
Should be fine
Dose this aio had a lot of issues tho I wanted to get it:((((
does anyone know how many hz does it have?????
What's the diffrence between this and lian li galahad ii lcd SL-INF ?
Infinity fans
This or asus ryujin III 360?
my digital cooler type is sideways, how do i get it to read properly?
Rotate the display in L-Connect 3
@@GearSeekers yes but I can't find anywhere it tells me how to rotate the display
Make sure you hear a *CLICK* when pushing in the white usb-c cable here @7:03
I have on my motherboard z490 asus both ( CPU_OPT ) and ( Aio_Pump ) Which one should I choose? help me please
Same here. Which did you use? 😅
