Getting my F30 in a few weeks. I want mine to sound good and obviously be fast. What would you recommend for the first mod? I was thinking of a intake and muffler delete.
Intake, cat less downpipe, tune. All can be for under 1500

@@iAli9822 sorry ik I'm 4 months late. But the f30 is the n20 engine which is a 4 cylinder turbo. The e9x is the NA 6 cylinder
And the timing chain failed....
Timing chain failed on stock engine tune etc at 40K miles, tuned it after the new engine and chain guides were installed 😊

These engines come available in the z4 20i. There are several stage 1 and 2 tunes on the market, that is what commenters are referring to.

Each tune “stage” represents an increase in engine timing, wastegate pressure, and throttle response hence the staggered marketing

I didn’t experience any issues while tuned but conventional wisdom says eventually the second cat will burn out

I have the exact lowering springs as you. rev motoroing they are linear springs not bad. my only question is how do you like your muffler delete.. I have the exact stuff done to my car as you.. tune, dp, suspension, same color, etc... I plan on doing a muffler delete but I've been warned it will be too loud... or is it not? my insta is f30_mk I messaged you on there as well.
The muffler delete is Loud but necessary because of how purely restrictive the modern cats are

Still a 4 cyl sound...... takes 3 sec from 4k rpm to idle....
its your car and i will appreciate any hard work put into any build. but a muffler delete and these burbles personally dont do it for me. i rather go for a nice sounding exhaust and have a less raspy hollow sounding muffler delete. i have the m perfomance with a dyno tune that pops and bangs and just sounds perfect. that being said as long as you enjoy the car thats all that matters.

Ok so personally I think this tune sounds like shit. I wouldn’t want so many “burbles” at such a low RPM. Is there other maps on that tune where it pops less and maybe towards the higher end of the rpm range?? Also what tune are you running bootmod3?
This was bootmod3 stg 1 93 Octane and yes there are parameter sliders in the software interface to adjust burble settings

No issues after the tune because my engine already blew on stock everything. These are very fragile, I would go N55. Watch my 40,000 mile review

Yes - I custom made it by cutting into the back of the steering wheel and screwing in the paddle set from a sport steering wheel
