I got severing spin when I least expected it on a completely different mission. I was helping out some dude fight a series of mini bosses when the item dropped.
These were some pretty solid hidden skills this time around!
Severing Spin REALLY needs hyper armor. Even a Gaki throwing rocks stop that attack.

@Ali Miri true, but dual sword did get 4 learnable perks in base game. I wish they did give more skills to axe and hatchets cause those are my main weapons and they're pretty good.
Worst part is axes can be really cool if they let you toss rocks or something by cutting the ground.
@@bongosmcdongos4190 there are a lot of ways to go about axes. The fact that you're wielding one implies that you're physically strong right? They could make moves that could be like exclusive command grabs for axe.

The Sohayamaru skills look amazing, but does anyone else find they lack punch for techniques that also require anima?
Sacred Bird Flight doesn't use anima like Sacred Bird Cry.
@@Jtriggers Well, that's nice i guess, but they still seem a bit weak. I'd be fine with them being weak vs Humans but strong vs Yokai. Like a 0.5x modifier for humans and 2x for Yokai

I disagree, I don't believe Flight is weak and I love how it allows you to strike while not leaving yourself vulnerable. While I do believe the non-anima using version of Cry is awful I find the Anima version of it to be well worth the cost.
@@sammer1097 Further use of flight has sold me on the maneuverability aspect. It's pretty good. I still think anima is better spent on a good yokai ability, but if you don't want to use them for whatever reason, or don't have quite enough anima, then yeah enhanced cry is ok too. I just expected skills using this "legendary blade" that take so long to execute would be stronger.
hello, a query, what update do you have? I have 1.27.00 and I do not unlock those skills, and I already won the dlc.
For this one, you have to farm them from bosses in order to learn those skill. You can check in the description to see which skill drop from which bosses.
@@LasttoLoad ok thanks, I thought that with passing once the mission I would have them and that there was a problem with the game since I recently had to reinstall it and lost more than 80 hours of play.
Always pertains to the ninja skill set. I really feel they are bias towards onmyo magic users
@Ali Miri yes... But I love onmyo so much better. Onmyo is actually strong af now. Just nothing new has been added. They've made changes simply because it was so flawed.
Kind of feels like Jitsu and Omyo flip flopped rolls from Nioh 1 to 2. In Nioh 1, Jitsu was not that powerful, but it was still cooler to use because it was more situational, and Omyo was over the top OP.
Nioh 2 feels the opposite. Omyo is not that powerful anymore and is just used for situational things, and Jitsu feels lame because of how OP it is now.
Is it easier getting the drops on higher difficulty?
No, its the same for all difficulty. What you need is item drop rate stats and luck stat (+ with luck buff from onmyo)

yes (all sort of luck stat and buff stacks well together), and item drop rate from your gearstat.

you get more chance by stacking item drop rate and luck stat.
