Does nobody notice this "yokai shift" build is just... Kunai build but in yokai form....
That's my thought. It's Just a ninja build with yokai shift duration
Not only that, he is using bare-handed build aswell wich as of patch1.08 was nerfed alot
But saves taking damage and reducing health

Ouuu nice, I was hurting because yokai shift damage sucks ass, but now this build gives me hope, subbed!
Pro tip change to a big heavy hitting weapon before transforming, sure its not broken and melts bosses in 2 seconds however if you slot high attack rating soul cores into your spirit. And that way your shift will be much stronger, if you use a fast hitting weapon that does lower damage per hit then your shift form will do less damage aswell. Try have a big heavy weapon in your hands and then shift, it does not suck ass nor is broken if you use a big weapon and if you slot high attack rating soul cores into your spirit it will be way better. Try it for yourself.
I discovered something today which is quite nice, the rage ability from the Axe stays and greatly increases your damage while in yokai form. As feral my damage increased by about 140% or so. So the damage buffs people use to make their builds better greatly applifi yokai shift damage.
This is disgustingly amazing

Dropping my revenant with 5.0 untouched ninjutsu chest. 12.2 gloves. -a DeX wep and 1.9 speed boots. agility bow inheritable gear. every day at dark omen sub lvl if anyone having trouble getting their set up. It be nice to have more revenants their sharing

One thing I'm not getting about Nioh 2. How do I make my living weapon last longer?
Use attacks that create amrita around enemies (yokai abilities are pretty good for that), then absorb the amrita via a charge attack, R1 or naturally.
Thank you for the beautiful clip, but I have a question. I did as you did in the construction, but the stroke of the seven was not strong. I don’t know the reason. Can you explain more about how you use the Yukai spirit?

I believe the core feature of his build got nerfed in the last patch. Patch 1.08 included a correction claiming that Skill and Unarmed Damage Bonuses were being incorrectly applied to Yokai Skills. I think his build concept probably still works but to nowhere near the same effectiveness following the patch. A few people who made videos on the patch came out to call unarmed builds "dead" after the patch.

Finally someone is making yokai form more viable! Quick question though, why did you choose damage bonus (equipment lightness AA) rather than damage bonus (heart A+)?
Damage bonus equipment lightness applies to all damage you do while damage bonus heart only improves the scaling of your melee damage
I will say that they just nerfed the Unarmed interaction in patch 1.08 though.
The Gaming Seshion They nerfed unarmed damage as well, bare handed is completely dead for those of thus that didn’t just build it for Enera

It's dead because all people wanna do now is be OP. So lame honestly, I will still use bare handed when I get to it because I prefer builds that still require atleast some skill. I used 1 shot builds on Nioh 1 all thru dlc and all difficulties and even all thru abyss 999 and it honestly ruined it for me. Nioh 2 I plan to stay true to keeping it challenging.
Holy crap this build is amazing! What keeps your Yokai Shift bar refilling ? Does it count as anima while shifted or something ?

Okay, I'm confused, because I made the same build as you, just without the movement speed, and the 170 gear (just 160) and I don't even get half the time you do, so what the hell. Did 1.08 before shift time or something. Oh, and I have all the skills related to duration before anyone asks.

The running speed on your armor does it stack with movement speed on yokai shift
