Sir u said in ur lectute that statment other than confession given to magistrate can only be used to contradict and corroborate however as per bare act such restriction is imposed only when the statment is given to police officer and if given to magistrte such restriction is not there rather they r fully admissible.No matter they r confessional or not confessional
If given to police it can be used for very limited purposes as given under section 162 CrPC.

Sir 1 baat btaye, m 1 steno hu magistrate kaa, mere upar magistrate ne 1 court me hee koi garbar ho gayi thi usme mere khilaaph ye likh diya ki isne confession kiya hai par confessional statement nhi hai. Aur naa he koi gawah hai btaye kya confession maana jaayega

Can u plz tell that, can i change my 164 statment and reopen my case, which i filed against my husband under Bigamy case. Bcz i hve given statement under 164, that i compromise with my husband bcz he convinced me that he we will Divorse to his second wife. But now after my statement my husband had again cheated me and he left
Can statement under 164 be recorded between the period from filling charge sheet to framing of charges.
