Very helpful, thanks. My dog passed away yesterday from a brain trauma and this video helped me to understand better what was happening to my dog before he died.
I am not a vet nor do I own a dog I like watching videos of animal examinations its kinda interesting to see that their exams aren't really all that different from ours.
@joannaquanttumphysicsseizures are just a tiny part of neurological problems, he said in the video that the exam is mostly for localizing WHERE in the NS the problem occurs - for example source of assymetrical walk can be many things - ortho problem, damage of the sensoric or motoneuron or any problem with the inner ear or cerebellum (and any structure along the way to it)…doing this helps to narrow down the possible diagnoses so you can then focus on something and dig deeper
Thank you for this video. My dog is having a neurological exam on Thursday, so it's helpful for me to learn about what it'll entail (the vet did go through this with me, but I forgot the major details).
Thank you. This is very helpful for my program. Health testing and proper evaluations allow me to understand more about my breed and learn where to make adjustments in my program.

What to do when you know your dog would evaluate poorly towards all these catagories ... really Having a hard time with doing what i know he needs. wish he would let go on his own. but also my fears are already coming true with how bad condition can deteriorate with no near end of natural cause to save him. Hes unable to walk and cant see his right side has completely shut down his tongue hangs out only his left. His back has a bald spot where a hunch has developed in the center of his spine. And looks like its folding in half his rear legs stand way to close to his front like his tail is tucked causing him to roll back. last night started crying and hasnt been able to stop I've tried everything to calm him. And im starting to look for the best answer and feel like its evil keeping him alive but also evil to kill my best friend
