@6:27 I know I'm about a year & so late on this, but I just wanted to point out that the gator clips that come with it are VERY snug & TIGHT when fitting them on the leads (the proper way). If you look inside the shielding, there's a tiny hole for the leads to be inserted creating a rather tight & solid connection. In the video you literally just plopped the rubber over the lead without showing the inside of the shielding to further solidify this "problem" you claimed of.
Literally I looked at the clips provided, saw the opening was _obviously_ larger than the lead itself so *instinctively* my brain said:
- _"look inside, im sure there must be an attachment of some sort for you to _*_properly_*_ combine these two together."_
& so here we are. Other than that,....VERY GREAT REVIEW! LOVE HOW YOU *TESTED EACH FUNCTION OF THE UNIT. I just bought this yesterday, & it came without a manual so I found you instead....and downloaded a pdf file manual also.

@@KeepOnTesting yeah I appreciate your video. I'm trying to find this damn parasitic draw in my car and bought a meter to try to figure out how to track it down. I think I need to buy one of those clamp meters also. There's so many on Amazon I don't know which one is the least expensive reliable one. There's literally hundreds on Amazon! 🤣

I agree, the price should be reduced by 10$ to make it more competitive and they really need to up the Capacitance range while they're at it.
So accurate and quick in continuity mode! I would've recommended it as a good "my first dmm" but the low diode output voltage is inexcusable with 4.5V of AAA (yuck) batteries. Fix that plus use AAs and a threaded metal insert and it would be better value than a $10 harbor freight dmm.

Not quite as good as other Astro AI offerings regarding cap range and low continuity volume but still has the same accuracy associated with other Astro offerings. I have the WH5000A and their DT132A and both are very accurate, and it should be noted this meter is priced lower than the ones mentioned.

I like it's precise results in ma range. In my experience with my 2 DMMs(richmeters 113d and Powerfix PDM 250 A1) they lose precision over 50 ma, so some times I'm forced to switch to A range and I'm in search for a good and accurate meter in ma range. What i noticed is that in ma range both multimeters have different input resistance(impedance?) and also in A range is almost zero ohm! I guess this has to do with zero burden voltage(a new term for me and I'm still trying to understand with my mediocre english what it does) something which I found out in some reviews(maybe I'm wrong and I have mixed it with something else).
Slightly disappointing Darren when especially thinking about other models that I have from this stable. Keep on testing. Best wishes from Northern Ireland 🇬🇧

Disappointing not lit all leds😏, capacitance range 🙄, accuracy is good... But expecting more with this meter.....
Which one is better the AstroAI or Habotest?
HABOTEST HT118A is a much better buy than tbis AstroAI!

NCV simply detects live voltage that might be hidden or cabled.
