I love this concept! It’s gorgeous with jelly roll strips, but it solves a problem for me, too. This tutorial has inspired me to make a backing from an ombré fabric by cutting three strips, flipping the middle one, adding some sashing and *boom* a gorgeous quilt back.
This would be a great way to make a couple of fast baby quilts using a pastels jelly roll. I started watching Jenny's tutorials several years ago when I wanted to make at least one quilt for each of my eleven grandchildren. I was very lucky to have been able to hand quilt with my grandmother when I was young. She made three quilts a year all by hand and I treasure three of her beautiful creations. I prefer to use the machine method though. I don't think I was gifted with her patience. Thank you Jenny for sharing all of your ideas with us all. The first thing I do every Friday is look for the new tutorial. I also love, love, love Block Magazine. Eleven quilts are done. With many more in the making. You just can't have too many quilts😉 right? Thanks again Jenny and your family too.
it has been only 3 years that I started quilting. February of 2014 I had enrolled in beginners quilting classes, do to health reasons I was only able to attend 3 classes. Becoming home bound needed a place to get fabric, a little quilt shop told me about Missouri Star. well that's where it all began, found the website and it has been such fun. Beautiful fabric, very helpful customer service, everything you absolutely could long for from the quilting world. I live for Friday morning's the new tutorial for the week. I have been able to make anything I have wanted to, Jenny is such a good teacher and the Block Books are great thing to have also, just in case we lose internet. THANK YOU JENNY
Jenny, you got me into quilting after I saw the Jelly Roll Race tutorial. After the Jelly Roll I went on to do a Zipper Quilt, a log cabin, a 9-patch, and a bear Paw quilt. I tell people it's like a sickness and the only cure is MORE FABRIC!!!
Yes, fabric is addictive. Good for you for using it. It is a joke that some of us have a JoAnn Fabric in our house. But I have gotten back to sewing and quilting to reduce stress. So I am hoping to shop from my stash.
Beautiful! My daughter was just talking about how cool it would be to have a rainbow quilt. I love your videos, they really help a beginner see that this is doable. Thank-you.
Learned about Jenny several years ago when I started quilting to get over a really bad break up. Was great therapy! Thrilled to have met Jenny almost 2 years ago! I now watch every video and have begun making This quilt for my ailing grandmother to enjoy in her last days.
I love watching these tutorials! i started watching them about 8 years ago when my aunt was trying to talk me into making quilts but I needed some guidance. I googled quilting tutorials and found Jenny. I've been in love with her tutorials ever since. She makes sewing quilts so much fun and is very entertaining. Her uplifting personality with her smiles and giggles always makes me look forward to her next one1
This quilt is so simple in design and fabric but that's what makes it stunning. As a new quilter I love to see patterns that are simple yet pretty. I get so excited when you post quilts for us newbies. Quilting is such an old art and I feel blessed that I have discovered the craft and can carry on the tradition! Thank you Missouri Star Quilt Company.
I first saw a Missouri Star Quilt Company TH-cam video when looking for a particular quilt pattern. It was one of those serendipitous moments when you do not find what you are looking for but do find something better. This has to be about 5 or 6 years ago and I still find something new watching these videos.
I LOVE JENNY! I first found MSQ looking online for fabrics. Have been a fan ever since. She makes quilts that anyone can do, and I mean that with all due respect. You go girl!
Love, Love, Love MSQC!! I learned to quilt by watching Jenny's tutorials! I started quilting about 4 yrs ago. And we share the same BD month and year! 1957 !! Jenny, 60 looks fabulous on you! Happy Birthday!!
First heard of Jenny from my friend Sue who is my quilting fairy god mother!!! Missouri Star has the HIGHEST quality fabric and goods and low shipping to the UK!!! Love you Jenny and Missouri Star!!
Love this tutorial. I have jelly rolls stacked up as you say!! Now I know what to do with some of them to make an awesome quilt. I glad I found you you on TH-cam Jenny. You were the person to get me started on quilting. I always thought I couldn't t do anything so complicated but you make it so easy. A big thank you.
I was first introduced to MSQC and Jenny by my mom. She watches the tutorials and videos all the time and introduced me to the world of quilting. I am currently working on my third quilt. Love watching the tutorials and shopping the daily deals!!
I first heard about MSQC when a pro-quilter friend told me to check out your videos to help me get over my fear of quilting. Your videos took away all my fears!
My sister told me about Jenny and the Missouri Star Quilt Company videos. I've watched many of them and have followed the instructions successfully. What a great resource.
One Saturday morning I was riding my exercycle and watching a Fons and Porter quilting show on my local PBS television station. The guest for that show was Jenny Doan. I think the episode demonstrated ways to add variety to jelly roll quilts. Jenny was just so warm and friendly you couldn't help but feel like you knew her. I think I became a fan right then an there. Was so thrilled to see her in person last fall when my husband took me to Hamilton for the 8th birthday celebration of MSQC. We had such a fun time!
My daughter told me about Missouri Star Quilt and Jenny's videos. She made it look easy enough for me to try. The first video I watched was Stacks. I watch the binding tutorial every time I bind a quilt. Thanks so much, I now have a wonderful hobby 😀
Beautiful! Love this tutorial. Another quilt to put on my very long list of quilts to make. This one looks easy though and shouldn't take much time. You never cease to amaze me. Thanks for all you do for us quilters.
I found out about MSQ by researching online for a quilt pattern. MSQ popped up as one that had the pattern, I found out that not only did you have the pattern but also a great tutorial to show an easy way to create the quilt.I have been a fan since. I have bought many Deals and watch all the tutorials.
I first heard about Jenny on Face Book and haven't stopped watching since. Each week I proclaim that this quilt tutorial is my favorite and add it to my list of 'to dos'. Now the Stack and Flip has joined the list. Love the bright and happy colors. Jenny has done for the quilting world what Donna Dewberry did for decorative painting: Show everyone how easy it is and that You Can Do It. The fabrics in the fat quarters are wonderful. Never had a bad experience with MSQC.
Oh my gosh, when I first learned to quilt, I googled "quilting" and going through my searches, discovered Missouri Star Quilting with Jenny. From that point forward, Jenny is my "go to" for all my quilting needs. I fell in love with the Lattice quilt tutorial and just finished my quilt top using Cynthia by Windham Fabrics line. I AM IN LOVE with this quilt top. Thank you Jenny for always pulling me through when I need incentive and motivation. Please don't ever stop making tutorials. Oh and I can't wait to see the new daily deal everyday!
Jenny forgot to tell you how I found out about you...... well...... 3 years ago when a friend told me about your daily deals I looked you up... I've saved all your tutorials and loved when you came out w the BLock magazine.... We are about to take a trip to Hamilton in a few days...... SO looking forward to it.
I found Jenny by doing an internet search when I started quilting when I retired 3 years ago. And I'm so glad I did! I really love all the videos and watch them every week. Thanks Jenny!
Hi Jenny, your projects r sew easy and I love it, u r sew easy to follow, I have seen some Storm At Sea projects, have u done one if not can u do one for us. thank u.
Simple but genious! As always.... How did I find the Missouri Star quilt company? Well, like a lot of quilters : I got ill and had to find something to keep me busy. A friend's daughter was pregnant, and I had made baby quilts before, but that was embroidered.... Which I could not do anymore. So I started looking for babyquilts on the internet and found Missouri's tutorial broken down in 3 or 4 tutorial. I ordered a couple of charmpacks and... Well, the rest is history !
I started quilting about 5 years ago. Not knowing what I was doing I started researching it on line. That was when I came across Missouri Star Quilt Co. Jenny's voice was so great and sounded so much like my mom that had passed away. I have watched most all the videos. Sometimes falling asleep to the sound of her voice. With my husband over seas working it helped me through those lonely nights. I have made the zipper, wonky log cabin, numerous big bags and several others. My wish list to make is so long I will be busy for a long while. I look forward to the Friday videos. With my morning beverage and Jenny. I have visited the MSQC twice and had a blast. Love it all and all of you. My life is better for having been a part of your journey. Thank you
Michelle Hepburn it is an Oliso, I gifted myself one for Christmas last year and I love it! Purchased on Amazon at a lower price with free prime shipping. It eliminates the stress of worrying if you turned it off, if it falls over and it heats very fast. To add water for steam is very easy and in a convenient location. You will love it!
Hi Jenny, my daughter wants me to make this quilt and she picked out her fabric, Riley Blakes, Happy Day jelly roll. When I opened it there are two strips of each color. How would you manage that? Maybe sew the matching strips together and put them long ways?? What do you think?
Hi Debi! I'd suggest keeping them side by side, and then moving on to the next set. So instead of the first color/print being 2.5" it would be 5" (minus the seam allowance). I hope this helps!
I found Jenny and MSQC about 4 years ago and it changed my life!! I have since been to Hamilton 5 times....the first time we arrived late at night and spent the night sleeping in the RV in the bank parking lot with other RV quilters! It was like Chrisrmas eve waiting for morning to open presents! You guys have rocked it ever since! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I really liked this tutorial but could we have some more technical/slightly harder ones to have a look at/be inspired by please. You have such a good way of teaching how to do it.
We add on an extra 8 inches to the length and width for machine quilting. If your quilter requires less than 4 inches all around the quilt than your backing amount may be a little different. I hope this helps!
My mom introduced me to Jenny as she had a few of her block magazines, I then started watching and making quilts from the tutorial. I have been addicted ever since!
Hi MSQC...love watching Jenny..met her a few years ago in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada at her trunk show. Awesome..love the tuts, the fabrics and the teaching. I'm 70 yrs old and still learning new tricks from you. Hugs
Jenny Doan rejuvenated me back into quilting after a 9 year hiatus back in 2013! Thus far, I have grown so much learning about pre-cut fabrics, Free motion quilting on my domestic sewing machine and actively a member in a quilt guild! Missouri Star has become my sanity and my relaxation! I wish I could remember the first tutorial I watched!
I have learned....well I am still learning...how to quilt watching these tutorials! I haven't tried this one yet but I will. I have made well over 20 quilts with Jenny in the past 2 years! A big thank you to Jenny for making me realize I could do it! Everyone in the family now has a quilt and I have even opened an Etsy shop where I sell my little quilts. "finished is better than perfect"!!
I first heard of MSQC from a quilt friend. She talked about you like a new group of friends! And now I know why, you All are so happy and welcoming. I'm sure I've watched all of your videos! I just wish I didn't have to sleep, eat or do anything else because I want to make all your quilts! You are a Bright Spot in a sometimes dark world. Thank you.
I first found MSQ when I was online just over a year ago when I started quilting. I love EVERYTHING about MSQ since, the tutorials, the shopping, the fabric, just everything. I must say too that whenever I have had to talk to someone from your customer representatives they have been the nicest and sweetest person ever. I would love to win some fabric from MSQ!
Jenny Doan gave me the confidence to try quilting with the "jelly roll race quilt top in less than an hour" video. It was blowing my mind that I could do this. I have advanced and I am so grateful to Jenny Doan and her "family" team to be so talented and reassuring.
Love ALL of Jenny's tutorials. The woman is pure genius and a true "heir apparent" to Eleanor Burns whose modern, time saving methods of quilting brought many of my generation into this wonderful world. Believe the first tutorial I watched had to do with making pinwheels.
I discovered Jenny while scrolling through you tube videos about binding. I must have watched her video about 10 times and felt comfortable enough to finish my binding. Then I looked at every tutorial of hers that was posted! I found the web site and the rest, as they say, is history! I love the Block Magazine and how personal it is, I love the daily deals and just how much fun it all is~Jenny is like a friend or your sister, cousin, a real person not hung up on "the perfect" but the fun and joy of what can be done with fabric. Love this lady!
One day I was just trying to find quilting tutorials and just found one with Jenny. Absolutely loved Jenny and have been watching her ever since. I have learned so much from Jenny. Love her personality. And she can say selvage any way she chooses. Lol
I was going through a very difficult time in my life about two years ago, and to distract myself I decided to make a quilt for my grandson. I had never quilted before, and really had only done basic sewing, but I was determined. I started reading quilting blogs, and somehow finished that quilt, and I was hooked. But I knew I had so much more to learn, and I really didn't know where to start. I searched for tutorials on TH-cam, and at first just watched whatever looked useful. But Jenny and MSQC stood out. The tutorials are great and easy to follow, and I've picked up so many time saving tips and tons of useful information. For me, it was Jenny's personality that kept me coming back. She's always so positive and "fun", and I enjoyed learning from someone as warm and encouraging as she is. Thank you, Jenny, for bringing some sunlight into my life when I needed it!
I first heard of MSQC when I was searching for quilt tutorials on Pinterest. Jenny's face kept showing up! Now I feel totally confident and have made quite a few quilts due to Jenny + MSQC's help!
I first found MSQC when I started quilting 4 years. My first quilt was The Zipper Quilt and I was hooked from then on. I have made many many quilts from the Jenny's tutorials and they are always my favourite quilts. Would love to win a fat quarter bundle :) Thank you so much MSQC for the fabulous patterns
I first discovered Jenny and MSQC a few years ago when I was teaching myself how to quilt by watching TH-cam vids. Jenny's video were by far the best and I have learnt so much...and bought so many excellent things/fabric since then!
I discovered MSQC one day about 3 months ago when I was searching on the internet for an easy pattern to use up some fat quarters that had been sitting in my sewing box for close to 20 years. My grandmother was a quilter and has recently passed away. I felt that maybe if I picked up quilting again, I could feel closer to her. I didn't even know where to start hence the search. I came upon Jenny's tutorials which made even complicated patterns seem easy. 2 quilt tops later (and several planned!!), I'm back into quilting which I had abandoned long ago as being "too hard." Most of my seems match up but then "close enough is better than not done at all." Thanks so much to Jenny and the MSQC for helping me to heal and enjoy the art of quilting.
I first found Jenny's videos when I realized that the quilts I enjoyed receiving as a child would not be continued on to my own nieces, nephews, and children. My Grandmother who had made my quilts has gone blind to the point where she could not teach me. After a n interesting first few failed attempts I found MSQC's videos and Jenny taught me the skills I needed to keep this tradition alive in my family. When I recently made the Jack and Jill quilt for my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary my Grandmother was floored and soo happy I was keeping the tradition alive. So thank you Jenny :)
I don't really remember how I got addicted to Jenny's tutorials and Missouri Star Quilt Co. I just know I look daily to see what the daily deal is and think about what I could make with them. Just got Kaffe Fassett's Collective in the mail to make this quilt. Keep 'em coming Jenny. Thanks.
I've been quilting for a couple of years now but I still consider myself a novice. I enjoy watching Jenny's videos. She makes it look like so easy. Now, I just need to work on my precision. Thanks for all of your tips, tricks and how-to's Jenny!
I made this quilt with shades of blues, teals, and purples. It looked like the ocean. I embroidered a mermaid on it, and put mermaid fabric on the back. The little girl I made it for loved it.
I have already subscribed. About two years ago I decided I wanted to learn to quilt. I searched the internet and came up with an incredible list of tutorials by someone named Jenny Doan! She made it look easy so I gave it a try. I am forever changed and totally obsessed with making beautiful quilts. I will be quilting for the rest of my life! Thank you so much for all these amazing tutorials!
How to quilt as you go. And then I was hooked! I made 27 crib quilts in Christmas fabric over the next 3 months for all my nieces and nephews. And I've been sewing every since. Thanks Jenny and your team too!
I first heard about Missouri Star Quilt Co by poking around on the internet for tutorials to get started. I was quickly addicted to this channel as Jenny makes each and every quilt tutorial posted here look super easy and fun! This is the most inspiring channel to watch!
A fried had some beautiful fabrics and when I asked her about them she directed me to MSQC! From there I found the TH-cam tutorials and now I check on the daily deals and video every single day. I love the precuts and I love the tutorials....life is easier with Jenny and the Hamiltons.
I first heard about Jenny and MSQC when I joined the Quilting facebook page. I wanted to learn to quilt after seeing so many beautiful quilts on Pinterest. so I joined the Quilting group and through watching ALL of the MSQC tutorials I taught myself how to quilt. I love it and am truly amazed when seeing one of my quilts on the bed. sometimes I can't believe I did it. so thanks so much for helping me achieve some quilting skills and for the chance to win the lovely fabrics.
I found Jenny (MSQC) almost a year back when I first started to learn about quilting. I went searching on You Tube and wow could not believe my luck that someone was going to make my journey to learn so easy. I am now a passionate quilter and cannot stop. I have purchased most of my supplies from MSQC especially precuts, love working with them...and of course my favorite rulers 5" and 2 1/2". Just finished the super easy hour glass quilt top...and yes was super easy...Jenny you are inspiring and I cannot wait for each Friday to see your tutorial..
I first heard about Jenny when my third of six sons was serving a mission for our church in the Miami FLORIDA area and wrote home and asked me to make a quilt for a widowed lady who was in much need of some TLC.... I had no idea how to accomplish the task and of course went to TH-cam where you can learn anything... this is where I met Jenny. three years later i am very happy when I get to spend my free time making quilts and learning new quilting techniques
Got hooked on MSQC and Jenny from first day!!! Heard about Jenny from a Google search on ways to use "these new precuts"..what a journey with MSQC !!! A fan for LIFE!!!
Back in late August, 2012, I just happened across a tutorial by Jenny doing a jelly roll quilt top.. When I saw the pre-cuts, I decided I could piece a quilt top without the time consuming job of cutting all those pieces. I have been hooked ever since. Of course, I love almost every tutorial I see and have to really control myself when it comes to the daily specials! Thanks, Jenny and MSQC!
I'm working on this quilt right now with Kaffe Wovens and Peppered Cottons! I've loved Jenny since I started working at MSQC as a teenager. I've come back each summer for five years and loved it more and more each time. Thank you, Jenny Doan, for your cheeriness and ingenuity!
Wonky Star was the first tutorial I saw on MSQ. I called two neighbors over to see this new method. We were all impressed! Now, I'm just about finished with a Grand Adventures quilt that is my new favorite! Thank you Jenny!!
I was searching the internet for a good quilting store and I found Missouri Star Quilt. I have been hooked ever since. I just love watching Jenny teach all of us how to make Awesome quilts that look really hard, but there not.
I am new at quilting. I happened to Google quilting for beginners and MSCQ came up on you tube. I just love Jenny, she makes everything seems so easy. Everything I make a quilt I just go to my MSQC Apple and make a quilt from there. I can understand everything that Jenny is doing and follow her very well. Thanks Jenny! Don't know what I would do if you weren't there at the beginning and are still here now.
I love Jenny! She inspired me in making my first quilt: King size bedspread as a Christmas gift for my son and daughter in law last winter. In order to find a pattern and techniques to quilt, I watched numerous tutorials of hers, here on U Tube end all the ones received regularly on Facebook, all very interesting, informative and entertaining! Jenny made quilting fun for me. I am now thinking of my next queen size bedspread for next Christmas for my daughter. I did not find the right pattern yet. Watching every day until Jenny will get "THE ONE" I need. Congratulations! Good job! I also recently contacted the Customer Service at Missouri Star Quilt Company and was very satisfied and impressed with the response I got. Thank You!
Jenny found me! I was lucky enough to take over as our guild programs chair, and she was one of my first speakers! How lucky was that! Just goes to show you that it's always good to volunteer!!!
I learned of MSQC when I joined a quilt block challenge online in an effort to learn to quilt. MSQC is the most recommended tutorial for almost any question!
I learned about Missouri Star Quilt Company from a fellow quilter. She is younger than my children and I get inspired by her quilts she has made using your patterns and tutorials. Now I'm hooked. Love your user friendly tutorials and fabric. Thanks for your passion for quilting.
After years of sewing clothing, and home decor items, I decided I would love to try quilting. I did an Internet search and found Missouri Star Quilt Company.. After scrolling through the web site I decided to choose "Get off the Couch, Get Quilting". I had a new grand baby on the way and I thought this would be a great way to learn about quilting. I have to say it was so much fun and and easy project to do and I was hooked. That was 6 months ago and I love shopping on the MSQC website. Such great products and of great quality. Love all of Jenny's tutorials to, So many quilts I want to make. Thanks MSQC!
I found Jenny when I first started to sew again after I retired from working. Was looking for an easy quilt to make , searched the internet and here was Jenny. Loved her from than on. She makes you smile.
I discovered Missouri Star about 3 years ago, probably from an ad somewhere, then I discovered the tutorials from the website....I've been inspired ever since!
I wish I could remember when I first discovered Missouri Star Quilt Company and Jenny's TH-cam videos. I've been watching these videos for a couple of years now and have been ordering fabric from the website for years. I'm building quite the stash for when I get to retire and start sewing full time!!
I started quilting a little over a year ago and a friend to told me to check out TH-cam and watch Jenny's videos. She did a great job making things that look hard actually easy with lots of tips and tricks. I really enjoyed watching the videos when you moved to your new space and had live events going on, that was always fun.
I love the gradient colors in this design. Another awesome video, Jenny! I made a quilt for my husband a few years ago, and then the dog chewed it up this summer. And I noticed it was falling apart. So, rather than fix this one, I decided to do some searching and find some "lessons" on quilting. While Jenny isn't the only quilter I follow, she's one of my top two favorites. I always look forward to her new videos. Thank you, Jenny, for your love of quilting, your desire to create more quilters, and your humor in teaching. You are an inspiration.
Found out about Jenny and her videos by accident of facebook. I was a fairly new quilter, but over the last few years I have really improved my skill because of these tutorials.
After being a quasi quilter for many years I found Missouri Star Quilting Company! These tutorials have taught me more than I could imagine. Thank you for your instruction, Jenny Doan!! And thank you for your sense of humor. Can't wait to make my stack and flip!!!
I came across MSQC when I was looking for quilt tutorials. I started a tradition of making each of my nieces and nephews a quilt for their high school graduation. Two quilts down and 6 more to go!
I think I came across Missouri Star Quilt Company simply by doing a youtube search on quilting and quickly fell in love with Jenny's upbeat, encouraging personality! I am relatively new to quilting. I am currently working on the Half Square Triangle Four Seasons quilt. :)
I first heard of Jenny and MSQC tutorials and deal of the day, when I first started quilting and had no idea what I was doing! I've learned so much just watching her tutorials, even if I didn't make a quilt, just watching g was so informative! When I hear of new quilters, I always direct them to Jenny. I finally made it Hamilton Missouri last month and I fell in love with the town and MSQC! I'm planning on going to a retreat next year, I just need to figure out which one! Jenny has ignited a new passion for so many quilters, me included! Thank you, Jenny and all the staff that makes MSQC everything that it is!!!
I found MSQC after my daughter told me about the video tutorials. So much fun & so helpful! Watching Jenny has helped me machine piece quilts instead of by hand. Too many quilts and not enough time othetwise. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I had been wanting to learn to quilt for years and one day I saw Jenny/MSQC during a TH-cam search- ive been an addicted quilter and MSQC fan ever since!.. and almost forgot to mention- my sweet hubby agreed to spend our anniversary vacay in KC, MO specifically so I could go to Hamilton :) LOVED IT! You absolutely must go and see the amazing job MSQC has accomplished!
Love this quilt. I subscribed 18 months ago after I lost my job and had time then to follow my passion and learn to quilt (but not the money) I love the way that quilting has evolved and I have learnt soo much from watching Jenny and the team. I have increased the knowledge hugely, still working on the practise. Thank MSC
I first heard about MSQC when I was teaching myself how to quilt. I was sick in bed and watched as many as her videos on TH-cam I could. She made it seem easy enough for somebody like me to do it. Now a year later I absolutely love quilting amd still love Jenny's tutorials.
My friend who quilts got me watching. That was four years ago now. These are the best tutorials I have ever seen and used. This is a cute quilt and looks like a great idea for kids.
I first heard of Missouri Star Quilt Company from TH-cam when I was teaching myself how to quilt. I found the tutorials very easy and helpful to follow. Thank you for all the hard work you guys put into making videos for us to watch and learn from you.
I first found Jenny and the MSQC when I decided I want to try quilting in 2015. I had no idea what to do, but by watching several of Jenny's videos (Jelly Roll Race, Beginner Free Motion Quilt, and The Ultimate Quilt Binding Tutorial), I complete my first Quilt! I still watch the Binding tutorial every once in a while because her way is the BEST!
I love MSQC. . I found Jenny on TH-cam. . was trying to learn quilting. .made my first quilt 2 yrs ago. .seen at the end of video that she had a fabric store. . I checked it out. . and the rest is history. . I order the wonderful deals about twice a week. . I am making some of the most beautiful quilts thanks to MSQC!
I've been subscribed for a while and found Jenny when I first started quilting 2 years ago. My first quilt was a jelly roll race quilt. Jenny's tutorials are by far the best I've ever seen. So encouraging and so simple to follow!
I heard about Jenny and her wonderful videos from my friend, Sandra. We went to Nursing School together in 1966 and have been friends ever since. Thanks for the great and fun videos!
I love this concept! It’s gorgeous with jelly roll strips, but it solves a problem for me, too. This tutorial has inspired me to make a backing from an ombré fabric by cutting three strips, flipping the middle one, adding some sashing and *boom* a gorgeous quilt back.
GREAT Idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank-you.

Happy Birthday!!
wow i wouldnt of guessed she was a day over 50!!
Love all Jenny's videos and love her quilt designs!!
You are never left scratching your head with the instructions. Great job Jenny!
I love that!
so simple and I cant wait to use my rainbow batik jelly roll to make this awesome quilt!
My sister told me about Jenny and the Missouri Star Quilt Company videos. I've watched many of them and have followed the instructions successfully. What a great resource.
I
One Saturday morning I was riding my exercycle and watching a Fons and Porter quilting show on my local PBS television station.
Jenny this would make a great quilt as you go tutorial!!! I love this simple quilt. You are an inspiration ♥️thank you thank you!
That's a great idea!! Thanks for sharing!
This would look gorgeous with a charcoal background... Love this so much!
Oh I love that idea!!! Like the rainbow after a storm. ;)
Haha, I didn't think of it that way, but you're SO RIGHT!!!
We can't wait for your visit!
Looks like this one could be called Sunset at the Beach. 😊
I found Jenny by doing an internet search when I started quilting when I retired 3 years ago. And I'm so glad I did!
I really love all the videos and watch them every week. Thanks Jenny!
Hi Jenny, your projects r sew easy and I love it, u r sew easy to follow, I have seen some Storm At Sea projects, have u done one if not can u do one for us. thank u.
We have not done one, Lucinda. We'll have to keep that in mind and see what we can come up with. :)
Thanks for all the inspiration!
Thank you
another great quilt, thank you. but could I please ask what make is your iron?? I'm amused every time it pops up by itself x
Michelle Hepburn Hi! It is by Oliso. I know because I want one so bad!
Claire Long thank you sooo much. That's my Christmas prezzie sorted x just need to source one in the UK.
Thank you for the info- I really want to get one. It takes forever for my present iron to heat up!!
Kreeson thank you for this information. I saw mixed reviews on Amazon. I really would like one, but not sure if I really need to spend the money.
Stay tuned, we have some very fun yet challenging tutorials coming up!
I think Jenny and Rob may have a hundred tutorials out there for us.........like a jumping off board..........this is just one of many many
5 yards of backing fabric? Really? How big is this quilt?
It says it's 57X79.
It says it's 57" x 87"......it's a little smaller than a twin sized quilt...( which measures 63" x 87" )
Dreda Augustus 5 yards with a typical 42-45"...it would be less if you're using 108" backing
You could easily add wider lashings and/or borders to make it fit a twin bed.
I was just surfing the web when I discovered Jenny and MSCQ. The videos are all easy to follow along so I can learn and create.
The reason I quilt is Jenny !! I rediscovered this hobby-addiction after I retired three years ago. I wish I had fabric to make this quilt! ❤
A quilting friend shared a MSQC tutorial with me and I have been hooked ever since, I like how Jenny makes it simple and explains the steps.
