One reason the audio may be quiet is depending on if the turntable has a preamp or not also weather or not line or phono is used. If youre using line switch to phono and see if that helps. If not look into if your tt has a built in preamp. If not youll need one or a dj mixer inwhich you then route the sound from mixer to an audio interface or straight to the mk3. Hope that helps someone.
I personally use Serato sample. But I have a sampling video up on here. It’s one of my most popular videos. Just search MASCHINE sampling DDS825 or go to my channel and look at my most popular videos
@@DDS825 The line level from my turn table wasn't strong enough. I connected the output of my interface to the line in of my maschine and it worked. Despite that it was low. I had to normalize the sample and boom shakalaka. Connect the Turn table to a mixer first and to maschine, peace out
I know I'm very late but could you make a video of how to sample into the Maschine Mikro MK3? I'm just getting into sampling but I have been struggling with how to load samples into both my Maschine software and hardware. Please and thank you.
awesome demo dude. helped me a tonne of heaps. very concise and straight to the point. I think the volume issues for some may be due to outputting from a DJ mixer and not sourcing the sound direct from the turntable (I may be wrong!). having said that, it might help the viewer if you give us a quick glace at what your plugging in to and out of- just sayin'. Thanks again Sir DDS- live long and prosper!
So are you plugged the turntable straight into the mk3 or are you plugging the turntable into a crossfader mixer and then into the mk3? I can't find any setup guides for it. plz help 😭
It's best to put the deck through a mixer and probebly any other device you can through RCAs or phonos because it boosts the signal through the mixers preAmp, hence the reason why a few people have mentioned it sounds quiet.
To access third part vst for example, waves ,fabfilter and more, one has to add the location where they installed their vst plugins in maschine. Step 1 go to the settings and click on the vst plugin settings and in the box there should be an add button. This is where you will add your location or if one has installed there vst in a folder on there physical hard drive or external hard drive. Step 2. after adding your location where your vst plugins are installed, one has to do a rescan of all his or her plugins. Step 3. after rescanning, go load a new plugin and see if your plugin is in the list. If it's not showing up, just do a restart of maschine and that should solve your issue.
For some reason when i go to settings on my Mk3 it doesnt shoe the audio tab. The only tabs that pop up are Rec. Mode and Metro, could you help me out or do you have any clue as to why?
Say whatsup man I know this is off topic but when you had your tracks on beat stars did you promote on there and if you did did it get your track/tracks more attention/plays?
Hey DDS! I find it funny I'm during the same exact thing settings and all, and I have no signal in the Maschine software. But when I plug the tip and ring into my Presonus interface the signal picks up in the Maschine software as I change the device from MK3.
Hey man, thanks for uploading the video! Im still having some issues with this. Ive got my technics 1200 running straight into my new maschine mk3, I've followed everything you've done to get the audio from the turntable through to my headphones. (the meters aren't getting any higher than yours are in the video and for some reason the 'mic in' gain knob at the back is controlling the volume from my turntable). Ive recorded it all in and when i go to play it back the wav form im seeing is completely flat so its clear there isnt any audio actually being recorded. are you able to shed any light on this?
@@DDS825 Hey man, ive gotten to the bottom of this one. i was running the turn table directly into the maschine (phono cable into 1/4# jack adapter) this means there is no pre amp so thats why the volume is extremely low and nothing actually recording. I am now running it through my mixer and its all working perfectly.

Is this a joke? You say you don't have issues with it being quiet but just look at the waves man. We all know those levels are unacceptable without normalizing it which boosts tons of floor noise as well. This is such a stupid problem for a box built for sampling to have,
I like the fact that you are real and not try to fake you got it all together and your are perfect.....keep it 100....and keep em comming..

got my first record player today and mk3 few days ago, so stoked to use this set up, thanks!
Nice!!
100 B. I was having a little trouble sampling until i heard you talk about placing the sample on "Detect." Good looking.
No problem!
Do you happen to know how to convert a stereo sample to mono on maschine plus hardware?
Nice vid DDS! Cool sample, definitely worth flipping! 🔥👊🏻
Thanks man! That record definitely had some nice samples on it
Man I’m hoping this is what I need. Been trying to figure it out since Christmas and can’t find a video that works with my interface.
I hope it helps! I have another video coming. It covers how to sample vinyl with an interface. (Without maschine)
I’ve been having issues with sampling lately can you please show how you chop samples and use the ASDR option

Hi may you please make a video on how to save komplete libraries or content on an external hard drive. Please
I have a video on that as well. Just have to search it and put DDS825 at the end of it
If you guys are using turntables try switching the line/phono on back. This may be why audio is low

All of the sampling with the mikro will have to be done in the software. I do have a sampling video using the software up on my channel.

When I’m trying to record I’m only getting audio from left channel for some reason have you any idea how to resolve that ?
Great video man. What Turntable u using?
Thank you! Audio Technica LP-60X
Do you need a mixer for a turntable or just cables directly connected into your Maschine from your turntable?
I didn't use a mixer for this video. The MK3 has an interface so that helps.

@@gregy797 I got my son a phono amp for like 40 bucks, he ain’t no dj so getting mixer wasn’t in the budget. Sounds good to me.
Any insight on the cord needed in order to do this on a MK3 Mikro?
You would have to plug it into your audio interface
So you still need an audio interface to plug turntable into and from interface to maschine?
No you can plug it into the Maschine MK3 Directly. Only the MK3 though.
I gotta get me a record player I need the whole producer sampling experience lol
I love having a record player! It makes me want to just go search for records.
You can go check out eBay, samash and guitar center for used record players. American musical supply offers payment plans if one wants to buy gear.
