I'm so ready to do this! I just feel like when we grow our own medicines and put our own energy into the whole process. The medicine reacts to us on a deeper level. Thank you for showing all of this priceless information!!
You can also inhibit mycelium growth at any stage by vacuum sealing the bag. The mycelium will stay dormant and you can store it indefinitely until ready to use or enable growth by unsealing it. I use with mason jars. I've used mycelium that has been stored for 2 years. I'm the only one in the world to discover this. Welcome. 😁
I’m excited to see how each bag does since you injected it with a different amount of CC. There’s a lot of different info about how many CC is good to use so thanks for experimenting and eventually showing us what happens.
@@cinderblue3251 the bag with more CCs technically did slightly outperform the one with less in terms of time to colonize but it was a negligible difference and had no difference once spawned to bulk and fruiting. I’d recommend to save your LC and just use 2-3ccs per spawn bag as that’s all you really need :)
I believe the mycelium when colonizing produces moisture or it at least draws it out of the grains with condensation. I have not yet ran into an issue of my grains drying out.
Yes you can! It’s even recommended to use liquid culture over a spore syringe as with liquid culture you already have mycelium that’s ready to colonize :)
Hi Goomba! Sorry to have arrived so late to this party. I had not yet found your channel. 👀. I'm quite intrigued as to the results of your experiment. 4cc vs 8. Was the '8' much whiter and thicker? Or did it cause excess moisture? I'm sending you a list to IG later on. I think you're gonna really like it. 😃
I can’t lie I did not notice much of a difference at all. They were done colonizing at almost the same time and both performed very similar. I do believe it is possible that it can be quicker but it’s such a negligible amount it’s most likely not worth putting much more than 4cc in. I also did not notice excess moisture. I’ll try and post a video on the results pretty soon :)
@@GoombaGrowsEtsy? Right on. I’m surprised. Not sure why. 🙃 Anyway, Thanks for the video 👍🏻. I’m preparing to give it a go !( been saying that for over a year 🥲🍄😁)….
@@GoombaGrows Probably going with ITW for an isolated spore syringe. Do you happen to know if that’s actually a LC syringe? I hope so!🤞🏻 If Etsy has them 👏🏻 Thanks again ✨
Oh my mistake, I just realized you said LC “base” from Etsy . Okay now I understand. 🤓 I like the plastic top u have on the LC jar. Did you buy a pack of them ?
I don't understand why such effort is taken to be sterile so as not to contaminate the substrate with unwanted spores and then allow air into the bag which may allow it to be contaminatd with spores.

I agree. And when you take the steps to help it grow, it is very rewarding.
Also, be clandestine in your activities. Speak softly.
Thank you! Very good instructions. I love all the details.

Amazing information!!! I will have to look into this :) thank you!
Wait, this is confusing me. I bought a pre-made grain spawn bag. It came vacuum sealed. Am I supposed to open it to let air in?
@@msgtblbj No air. But you need to unseal it so the co2 can build up in the bag.
@Bailey-k2j OK, how do I unseal it so the CO2 can escape without letting air in?
Edit: My bad. Lol How do I let C02 escape without letting air in?
@@msgtblbj The filter patch at the top of the bag allows expansion. Co2 is heavier than air. Co2 will build up and push the air out of the patch.
Please continue this process I just started mine
Loved the video, thanks so much!
Looking forward to finding out the results of your experiment 🤞🏻🫶🏻🍄🫶🏻🤞🏻
Thank you for the support and I’m excited to see the results as well :)!
What ended up being better, 4cc or 8cc?
hi goomba im new just have one question why do use the tape if its self closing interjection port
I like to use it for extra security. It’s probably not necessary but I still feel better doing it and learned to do it that way.
Same
Where do I get a jar that size of the juce???❤
I sell one just like it on my website goombagrows.com! You can also find ones similar on Etsy shops and other mycology supplies stores :)
Another banger video 💯🔥

Hey, do you ever worry about the Spain bag drying out storing at 78-80°? What happens if it does

Thank you for watching!!
Good vid bro did you make your culture jar or where did you buy it. Also are your grains from north spore?
Thank you! The liquid culture base I bought off etsy, and the grains are from north spore.

@@remingtonfrog3170the Etsy seller I get the base from has the lids that come with that and they also have magnetic stir bars. It’s sweet !
Can I use a different kind of tape ? Like skin or injury type tape ???
Just make sure than the tape is not breathable when colonizing and that it is breathable during fruiting conditions:)
Why don’t these bags need FAE holes?
Because you do not fruit in these bags, and you want a high c02 concentration when colonizing :).
I don’t have a blow torch … but my needle is still in its case in the mail

A flow hood is useful for that purpose
