Build a Super-Powerful Portable Vehicle Jump Start Box with 12V Plugs Using a Real Car Battery

I was sick of spending $150 on jump boxes only to find that the 12v motorcycle cell inside didn't have the amps to start most cars and the SLA battery would suddenly die if you left it on the charger too long. I put together a robust, sealed gel-cell battery box with dual accessory plugs, a built-in voltage meter, and enough current to start almost any vehicle. The sealed gel-cell can by carried or stored on it's side without fear (according to Optima website). The total cost was $199 for the battery and $65 for the enclosure. It weight 38 lbs. but gets the job done!
