thanks! I like dinking around with batteries too. I have that yellow one and I've replaced the sla battery in it at least once. I carry a deep cycle so the yellow one is redundant but it worked ok for years.
Harvey I've been a subscriber for quite some time now, and learned a lot from not having any knowledge prior. Recently washed your Rescue of totally wasted wire harness and learn from what you said about the CDI box taking 12 volts from the battery and nothing less it dawned on me what you had said was probably exactly what was wrong with my Bombardier engine. It would spark one time and then after that it would have spark again I would shut it off and then they would repeat one spark then nothing. Clearly that had to be the problem I had several other people look at it and finally given up hope on it and picked up five different engines to go in a go-kart all the while using the same battery the power CDI. I bet you every one of these has a 12-volt needs with the CDI. Thank you once again for detail have a Happy Thanksgiving.
Mr Harvey I've been using about the same system here only with marine battery from Wal-Mart about 70 dollars battery box and put it on light dollies to roll it around .Ive had it 4 years now works great I charge it when it gets low but matinee batterys are designed to be recharge. That way good luck friend
nice job harvey! I think I commented a few months back on your last booster pack video on using walmart $50 car batteries with their built in handle as my jump packs!
The box is nice , how about combining the CDI box with it ? It has its own on/off switch and your lugging only one thing ! You could also place it behind you when you romp ! Might be a bit bigger then your CDI but more compact in the long run . Just a thought !
Great job👍 unless you count your time invested or put a price on the recycled parts, your wallet came out heavier than if you purchased a new jump pack! And much higher true cranking amps than anything sub 70$. I've got 4 regularly used L&G batteries and typically get ~3 years from them but have 1 from 2014 that still meets its sticker rating, who knows how long it'll go😅
Hey RG! I wanted to build this as only a jump box, the next one will be a plastic water proof box with a whole harness in it, a cdi and the both circuits necessary for starter operation... Thanks for the good idea, suggestions, watching, and commenting!!!
im using 42 old lithium ion cells to as a jumper and after testing It has put out over 500 Amps and it starts everything i throw at it and doesn't weight that much

If you install the volt meter you could also see if the charging system is working after you crank it up

Good video. I've even used the Wal-Mart $25 battery to jump start my car a couple of times,since my car has 4 cylinder engine 👨🏽🔧

put your lead acid battery charger on the clamps and turn it on and it’ll charge it better and faster
