I had the bike from 3 months now , use it for everyday, great bike for highway not at all for the city, overheating is a problem, dash is true is really unreadable, seat confort hard on the nuts , really good looking thou
I've owned one of these for about 4500 miles now. Brilliant bike. Yes, it has some quirks (don't add coolant to the min line - it likes less than that ;-) ). But with a set of QD pipes and some break-in, the bike makes you giggle, and you've got cruise control and heated grips to boot. Also, pillion comfort is excellent although a top box would be nice. And relative to other competitors like the FJ-09 - today I was out for a ride and pulled into a local gas station. A German guy in a BMW wagon pulled in next to me. He wasn't getting gas. He saw the bike and followed me to ask me what bike is was and say it was gorgeous. I don't think that happens quite so much with other bikes...
+TwoUpTales I agree. I test drove that and the Tracer as well. The Versys is just too big / heavy for my taste. I still wanted something sportsbike like and in my opinion that is defined by handling / weight / size, not just power.... That engine on the Versys is however VERY sweet, loads of power everywhere.I think the Versys is a bargain bike if you want to actually tour regularly, but it does take more effort to push hard. Each to their own!
I purchased the Stradale 800 2 weeks ago from Cayenne after sampling both bikes properly. It was on special for R119 000 with a 3 year serviceplan. Make no mistake, they are very different bikes and although I loved both the Stradale provided more thrills while being more than comfortable enough for what I do. I love the seating position on it, and it looks great with the panniers removed as well. Very happy with my choice, it's my second MV Agusta and not the last. The Veloce would be the better choice if you actually want to do some touring. The Stradale is a better sportbike. Thats my opinion. Nice review, but I would have given it a 4.
The tail and exhaust are complete sex. The front fairing looks like GSXR that's been dropped on it's head though. That sliding windshield is cool though.
MV should have hired a graphic designer to work on their dash 2:23 . Holy crap, that display is disgusting!!! It looks like an late 90's webpage complete with the cheesy little bike graphic. The actual bike looks great though.
This is the result of having to many options!!!! The bike market is saturated with all sorts of models. Where are the days of 3 options, sport, off road or cruiser. Great show BTW.
The Stradale is a sports tourer much like the Ducati Hyperstrada. The German equivalent will be the BMW R1200rs and under the KTM banner would be the new Super Duke GT
Excellent review video! However, Harry doesn't explain why he called it a "toy" at the end of the video. He seamed happy with the bike. Why did he say that? Thanks
When I test rode it, I couldn't deal with the seating position. Felt like I was leaning backward! Now I see someone else riding it, you DO lean backward! It's too weird.
It is an odd looking motorcycle. It seems like it could have been done alot better styling wise. Kind of like it was rushed out the door just to say they did it.
What are you talking about?! This is the most gorgeous touring bike ever made!!!
I think it's a beautiful bike! Excellent show as always guys!
Real pity we don't have you guys doing a bike show in the uk

Would love to know how the wind protection compares to the Yamaha Tracer or any further comments about the screen on this bike.
So you're going to make Harry smile during the break... The mind boggles! Keep up the good work - the show, not making Harry smile :)
I would still pick the t.d.m -850 over any of these bikes ..

Now Turismo Veloce Lusso please
MV Agusta's recent bikes look amazing. This one reminds me of the Honda Deauville somehow. Not a nice looking thing...
yes
+Aleksi Joensuu I felt the same way until I saw it in person... I like it, not as much as the Stradale, but not bad!
good informative video. the fact its an MV can't be to bad. didn't like the tracer. i'll stick with my explorer. thanks
