I took this same route and was very happy with the flight and the service once in the air. The economy seats are amazing for the price. It seems you have to budget at least an hour from departure though.
Although HPN is quite limited, I'll take it over the big 3 any day. We also flew Breeze from HPN-SRQ, we were impressed, most comfortable seats of the budget airlines and I liked the little phone shelf.
Very nice trip report! I like Breeze and HPN seems like a very civilized alternative to the NYC other regular ( and more congested) departure points. I am left wondering why this is not used more and advertised as an alternative....
Hello theplaneguy. Sorry to hear about your experience flying out of HPN. With the weather and delays you experienced, it must have made for a uninspiring wait. At least the seating and service on board was acceptable. My spouse and I (since we are from Ontario, Canada), when we fly in the US, we always fly out of Buffalo-Niagara Int'l Airport with Southwest Airlines which is a pleasant experience. Almost never have delays and the processing time from entering the airport to departure gate (and that includes going through Security) is exceptional. Lucky for us that Southwest flys to practically any destination in the US we might want to go and the airfare prices are usually quite reasonable especially since we are Rapid Rewards members. Keep up the good work!
First full report of Breeze to/from HPN 👍 You nailed it with HPN and Breeze’s issues. The airport’s issues have to do with the government not wanting to expand the terminal just to cater to those who hate the “noise” that the planes bring. I live right under the final approach path for Runway 34 so they fly over my house a lot and they aren’t loud at all. These people literally bought houses around the airport KNOWING that there’s an airport nearby but they still like to complain about noise all the time. The amount of flights isn’t the issue as the airport brings $735m+ to the county annually. It’s the government’s unwillingness to make needed changes because of a loud minority. Breeze’s scheduling is definitely a complete joke too like you said. Their near impossible turnaround times and simply inaccurate flight times have made it so that the LAX-HPN-CHS segment rarely is on-time. In fact, I believe HPN-CHS (scheduled to depart at 8:59pm) has only departed within 25 minutes only like 3 times when it has been operating almost daily since November 2. They’ve even had a couple of flights depart shortly after 1:30am. With all of their flights to/from HPN, they leave no room for any delays, and once one flight departs 15 minutes late (a normality), the rest of the flights scheduled for that aircraft are delayed by at least 30 minutes, usually an hour or more. Their on-time rate for HPN is horrid because of what I said. Sorry for my long rant lol
I love the A220 - Breeze at least has that going for them, even if late on the routes. The geared turbofans are super quiet. Give that pilot a 9.7 out of 10 on the landing! Hopefully Breeze will get their pilot shortage and route delays worked out and I hope to fly that aircraft some day!

4:59 - I'm conflicted as to whether HPN is better as a departure, or arrival airport. On the "pro" side - the traffic going there is rarely bad, certainly not anything like the schlep to the three major ones in the area. But the terminal is small and not esp. comfortable for waiting for a flight. It's def. pretty good for arrivals..
JetBlue has extremely limited gate space at T5. Breeze uses a shared gate at TBIT at off peak times. Also Breeze just announced they're cutting this route April 30th due to the issues I pointed out in the video.
They need to cut down the flight schedule from White Plains to LAX for Breeze Airways to only once a week to every other week for now on to avoid any potential flight delays at this point.
AVOID this airline if you need to be somewhere. I scheduled my flight from Orange County CA to Orlando FL more than a month in advance for a cruise ship vacation. Then today, a few weeks before the trip, I get an email saying that "we made a change to your flight" and now it's giving me a bad schedule when the cruise ship is at sea. I had to cancel for a refund. But the worst part of it is that with my super busy work schedule, this is wasting my time to research and re-book with another airline! I knew that "low budget" airlines are nothing but trouble, but I thought I would give Breeze a chance because I could get their "nicest" seat which is a pretend 1st class. I have never before had an airline change the booking on me like this without some unexpected weather or air traffic control event. Breeze is UNRELIABLE I am learning from other reviews. I learned my lesson again to avoid the stupid budget airlines.
I know its been 1 year since this report came out but i just founded in you tube l still think breeze is lousy in service in a 5 and a half flight its in my list of the worst airlines sorry cheers jerry

“Nicest” isn’t really considered a first class. I like to think of it as a main cabin extra extra. Roomier seats and the service is mostly the same.
Breeze hasn’t added the promised WiFi or IFE because they’re out of money.
