I have know the Wilson sister from high school on and they are great people and have not deep down changed. This super great and I'mvery happy for them. Big t y to all that helped with this!
My favorite Gypsy Ladies...they need statues created in their image im thinkin.....Beauty all around and in them.....these humans are hard to find.....then you toss in the talent....oh my...true Goddesses.....I think about.... damn near 40 yrs ago......I first fell in love with the music of HEART......the musicians that made them who they are too!!...what a Kick Ass group.......
Ann & Nancy are so deserving of this recognition. I cannot think of any artists who deserve it more. They are the women of rock!! I have been a fan since their very first album "Dreamboat Annie" was advertised on T.V. I went to every Heart concert in Seattle for many, many years. I even had the good fortune to talk to them several times. But I wonder, why wasn't the star for "Heart". I'm happy for Ann & Nancy, but I think the entire original band should be honored. Just my 2 cents worth.
Fun Fact: When Ann announced everything was free because that day was proclaimed Ann & Nancy Wilson day I loaded an entire cart of goodies at a nearby Rite Aid and walked out without paying. To my surprise, I was arrested and I screamed at the officers to uncuff me because Ann Wilson had proclaimed everything to be free as the cop smashed my face into the police squad back partition. I spent a few days in jail waiting for the residuals of my movie Anchorman to arrive. But, all in all it was a wonderful day seeing the Wilson sisters smile and wave as they were inducted into the Walk Of Fame as I yelled Barracuda Bastards at the cops driving me to get my finger prints in jail.
Really says: "Ann & Nancy Wilson Heart". Specifying their names may be because they are the only "permanent" members of the band. All the other members have been in some way transient.
@joyk2327 Thanks for the reply. I get that, but most bands have transient members, and the permanent members are never listed. I just think it's odd, like maybe there was a rights issue with the name.
@@jinortap5685 I think it's different from the Hall of Fame, for example, where the members who were in a band "at the time" of achieving fame are included. I think Hollywood Walk of Fame, has more to do with the record labels/studios, they nominate their artist and I think there are some payments to make for the creation and maintenance of the tile. And there are other series of requirements to meet... Paul McCartney has his own star, apart from The Beatles, for example.
Ann Wilson: possibly the best woman pure-sounding hard rock voice ever somewhat by the number of great songs Heart has churned-out although fine Nancy fronting it has their only #1. All due respect to Janis Joplin, Joan Jett, Tina Turner (I still think "she" is a dude), Patti Smyth, Laura Branigan and Pat Benatar, I have to go with Ann at #1. Nancy Wilson is so hot though, like a fine wine and when she does that high kick on the guitar, it's taser time.
"These Dreams" was not their only #1 single, it was their first. "Alone" (Ann on vocals) also hit #1 two years later and actually remained #1 for a few weeks more than These Dreams.
Ann and Nancy look a little awkward shy and uncomfortable. But then, it seems a lot of people being honored in these WOF ceremonies are. LOL Guess it's not the most comfortable thing being celebrated like that getting your name for everyone to see for the next 100+ years. LOL!!

I take it back!!! I saw a better picture of the star and "Heart" IS on the star as well. Underneath Ann & Nancy's name. I feel so much better now!
