UPDATE 2: Go check your email to see if your car has been granted 30-day trial FSD beta, if it does then you’re good to go! Get ready to be mind blown 🤯
Any monthly cost paid at $199 should apply towards ownership cost. Interest free payments towards ownership and transfer to another vehicle may help. They should also offer a monthly payment for enhanced auto pilot at $99.
Have they pushed the update I updated my car 2 days ago to 2024.8.7 and all still haven’t gotten the free trial of FSD I have a 2024 Model y. And if they have pushed the update out how do I get it.
Okay. I just tried it yesterday for a few hours, in the rain. Day and night. Works much better than the freebie you have, but I would not pay $10K for it. Or $200 a month. There were too many uneasy moments. Mine seems to lean more right than centered. Not a problem till you're along curb parking areas with no cars. Then a parked car shows up and you're leaning more to the right. It does lean a little left for the surprise car, but it's too close to me. I grabbed the wheel almost every time. Mine also accelerated too hard from stops. It's really good, but would not be worth the money to me, at this point. It was nice on freeways. City driving not so much for me.
@@heyJohnEe I received an update about a half hour ago. It would be nice if it did something about the jackrabbit starts. I see no sense accelerating so quickly from stop lights and stop signs. But that could just be a preference of my driving.
Needs to be $100 a month or $6000 to buy it they would sell it. The $100 a month should add up be able to be used towards final purchase at any time. It would sell. At current price not so much
Hey John, not sure if you remember me, but I commented last week about my soon delivery of my new M3LR highland. I got it Sunday. Pre delivery was horrible, hood scratches, windshield scratches, top glass deep scratch, exterior trim coming off, exterior misaligned panels, interior misaligned panels, hole puncture in leather trim above ambient lighting by the dashboard, screen overheating, speakers rattling. I accepted delivery because I knew they’d fix it. I couldn’t drive my car until I accepted. Once I accepted and drove literally right outside the rollover gate in the delivery room, I noticed creaking and rattling and it was my suspension on my BRAND NEW 30 second owned model 3…
Hey yeah I remember. Yeah Tesla has made it difficult lately to inspect vehicles without accepting delivery. In scenarios like this you don’t have to worry, just schedule a service and they’ll take care of every little thing back to spec. If it keeps happening, file under lemon law. Honestly don’t worry, you have warranty for a reason, right? 😎
my safety scores were reset a few days ago. I don’t know why but I also got a notice that the safety score would no longer apply to the Tesla insurance rate. 🤔
So since I just got my car last week I've not experienced a software update yet. So in the next few days my car and or app will let me know I have a new software update which will be FSD beta 😁😁 that is pretty cool. I will admit I will probably be very nervous to try it but I'd give it a go
It might prompt a software update or it might just activate the toggle the next time you hop in, similar to what happens when you purchase it over the app. So exciting!!
At 1:12 John says: "I have tried many iterations of FSD beta, and it makes a ton of mistakes" So true. The latest 12.3 version is much better, but still lots of human interventions are needed.
@@heyJohnEe FSD has been in beta for almost 4 years, and still lots of mistakes and interventions required. FSD often has problems making left turns! omg Full autonomy soon? Not a chance.
How are people with standard autopilot going to get it but not eah when will basically got one feature for like 2 years and people that pay nothing get it
Fsd drives very well, better than average drivers. But considering my use and price. Passed, and I believe this capability gonna be standardized in the future. I found if everybody uses fsd, maybe traffic jam could be improved a lot.
@@tianzining I think that is probably key. If everybody used FSD. But for now, I don't think FSD is able to compensate for the stupidity of the average driver.
@@heyJohnEe honestly it needs to be able to truly drive itself for me to pay the 💵. That means no hands on wheel every 20-30 seconds and being able to adjust my screen without notifications. Level 3 or greater. But it’s better. Right now I think it’s just better not amazing. Software growth is too slow. Auto wipers are better on my wife’s Porsche and my sons Honda civic. Come on Tesla.
Still way too expensive. $200/mo for another device that does a million things like an iPhone is one thing, but increasing the already high car payment and insurance by another $200/mo for a single feature isnt worth it. Tesla will for sure be dropping that price when that reality sets in after FSD misses their sales target. Then you add connectivity, and the silly garage door opener subscriptions, you “car payment” now is double

I didnt do that I just went to my car settings and changed it to full self driving do I still have to look at the email?
@thanksreacts wow sweet! Let us know how it is. Nope your good to go
I received the update but no email about the trial
Seems like the FSD trail waves are still coming out slowly
If you had to put a fair value on FSD beta once it’s fully complete, what would you say it’s worth as a subscription per month and outright package?
Any monthly cost paid at $199 should apply towards ownership cost. Interest free payments towards ownership and transfer to another vehicle may help. They should also offer a monthly payment for enhanced auto pilot at $99.
Good idea

Where can I see the full video of FSD driving shown in the video?
I haven’t posted it yet, but maybe Patreon maybe X not sure I’ll see

Hopefully even cheaper than $100 per month. $1/day sounds fair or $30 per month, those price will skyrocket the FSD take rate
30 euros I would take
@hermanjohan5388 that’s fair
Great video John Ee!
Appreciate it 👊
When does that free trial starts? Is it once the software is downloaded? I’m on vacation.
It starts today
When will this free month start for the US ?
We have now until Saturday midnight. But if going off of previous FSD releases mean anything, we’ll likely see it in the evening of Friday

@yskkamal8799 yeah I know you feel. My M3 was full of panel gaps but I was too excited I had to take it home the same day
will autopark be free to everyone or still need EAP subscription?
Still needs EAP or FSD. But the visualization will be coming soon for free however
My autopark is working on the update, but the snart summon is still not available. Is this correct for cars without uss?
My summon isn’t on there . Update if you get yours
@neph-izmo6842 no smart summon yet, looks to be a few weeks out as they are in final testing
Is UK going to experience this?
Sorry no, this is only for Canada and US. Europe will get it later this year hopefully
How do i activate free trial? I dont see an updates?😊
It hasn’t been pushed out yet, look out for it though from today until Saturday
I’ve been checking every hour! Lol I hope my safety score is high enough to get the update
my safety scores were reset a few days ago. I don’t know why but I also got a notice that the safety score would no longer apply to the Tesla insurance rate. 🤔
I wonder if you need to turn on the advance update or regular (tested) update feature also get the update.
Safety scores are no longer relevant in US and Canada to get FSD beta. It’s only for insurance purposes
I am tesla 2023 owner. I tried FSD today and it still made tons of mistakes in my 2 mile drive. Its still sucks and not work 19k.
That sucks to hear, in what scenarios did it mess up
How will you know when your car has access to the FSD trail?
you’ll notice a longer than usual reboot of the ICU once you get in, then you see the FSD beta toggle
Is this live already? Just got my model 3 2024 model and don't see the option
Well where is it?
This week - from now until Saturday midnight still falls within this week
