Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that my video resonated with someone with as much experience with Black Mouth Curs as you. They truly are incredible dogs. Your love and dedication to them over the past 20 years are genuinely inspiring. 🐾
That's wonderful to hear! It sounds like you've had an amazing companion for nearly a decade. Black Mouth Curs are known for their loyalty and affection. Wishing you and your furry friend continued happiness and peace!
I don't have a fence but she listens very well unless there's a critter or someone on the property. She knows when to protect or when just to check things out. I got her at 2.5 years old and she's been amazing
That's great to hear! It sounds like your Black Mouth Cur is a smart and intuitive companion. It's wonderful that she knows how to differentiate between protecting and just being curious. Sounds like you have a fantastic bond with her!
Mine is so smart he's like a roommate. He's very loving and yet a fierce protector at the same time. If you can't be with it all the time and you aren't a skilled trainer then do not get one.
I want one of these dogs , but I don't like that hip thing ,and allergies. My bully had bad allergies, and ear infections. That was horrible. I got a pitbull now,and I could get a nice cur I would minus the allergies.
Thanks for sharing your concerns! It's important to consider health issues like hip dysplasia and allergies when looking into dog breeds. Each dog is unique, and not all Black Mouth Curs will necessarily have these issues. Consulting with a reputable breeder who can provide health clearances for the puppy's parents might help minimize the chance of these problems. For allergies, regular grooming and a proper diet can also make a big difference. I hope you find the right companion for you!
Publix has human grade Chicken and Beef Bone Broth for dogs with glucosamine and chondroitin for their hips and bones. Also, chopped up fresh carrots, green beens, a little greek yougurt, Fresh Pet, blueberries and a raw egg 2 or three times mixed with Nomm dry food. You'll tell a difference in coat, energy an and brighter eyes.
Honestly first I've heard of bmc's having hip issues. They're considered healthier dogs than most and live 12-18 years. I'm an owner myself and it's like having boxer mixed with a malinois as far as intelligence and energy. They are extremely loyal dogs, so much so that separation anxiety can be a small issue. They do need exercise to spend their energy but as long as you do that they are nearly perfect.
I've had bmc,s for 20 years now, and every word that you have said is true. Love them like they won't be here tomorrow.
