Great tutorial, I have a 04 Eclipse GTS and I looked for months for a manual but could never find one I eventually had to settle for an auto for which I’ve never been a fan of but it had the his her shifter so I can still choose gears. I want to change out the shift knob and now I know how to great video man.

Thank you for video. I've been thinking about replacing my shift lever and the button issue was really throwing me. My car has a trigger type and I was emailing a seller and they said theirs was a push down and I assumed it wouldn't work. Now I can get the knob I want.

i have a 2007 volvo s40 and i’m not sure if i can do any of this but i bought everything, it was around $80 with a different shift knob and a boot to put around the new shifter as well, i’ll update when i get everything
Awesome video bro! How did you ever find out that this was an option? Are we only able to get this through sickspeed or able to go for more custom ones that have this feature for shifting?
I was actually talking with another Kia owner and he gave me the idea but he didn’t know how so I did a bunch of research and figured it out to show everybody. I’m sure there are other companies that make the adapters too but I know sickspeed products and trust them. Of course if you want a different knob just make sure it has the same thread size and it should work no problem.

Sooo the little collar piece on the end of the boot…I have a 2019 civic so that piece is like square. Do you recommend a size to swap that piece out with to make it sit flush with the adapter?
Can you also get a boot retainer? Like the ones with the lip that way your boot isn’t just Willy nilly

I ordered both at the same time from SickSpeed but they weren’t together like a “kit” or anything. I just found a knob I liked that had the same size threads as their adapter.
