@@coblaze1 Trump himself DID fail that and the way he protects his fellow treasonous criminals (politicians) is to pause all background checks until he can instate his own cronies to head the place where background checks are done. We do, They're called "The Declaration of Independence" & "The Constitution of the United States". As long as California is accepting billions of dollars in federal monies and is still a part of The United States, as far as I'm concerned my rights as a legal American citizen will always supersede any and every infringing arbitrary law that impacts "The Bill Of Rights" SCOTUS has ruled on this several times.
      See below.. ⬇
“Sixteenth American Jurisprudence, Second Edition, Section 177"
"No one is bound to obey an unconstitutional law and no courts are bound to enforce it.”
      "Chief Justice Marshall, Marbury v. Madison, 5, U.S. (Cranch) 137, 174, 176
”All laws which are repugnant to the Constitution, are null and void.”
"Murdock v. Penn., 319 US 105; "No state shall convert a liberty into a privilege, license it, and attach a fee to it."
Shuttlesworth v. Birmingham, 373 US 262; "If the state converts a liberty into a privilege, the citizen can engage in the right with impunity.”
If one cannot see the irony of having totally arbitrary, anti 2A gun laws enforced by men with guns, that turn law abiding firearm owners into criminals to unconstitutionally justify confiscation? Then one fails to understand why the second amendment was written in the first place. Pass what you want, "We the People" are not playing this game with our rights anymore.

Just some additional info on the 11% TAX on purchases. Any retired Military or DAV with a DOD ID, have access to Commissary Unlimited Exchanges. The Commissary at Travis AFB Commissary has a full selection of CA Approved Weapons as well as ammo. They are held to CA regs like the DOJ approved list and 10 day waiting period, but are not subject to CA taxes, sales tax or 11% BS tax. I assume that is the same for all military bases in CA with a Commissary that has a weapons department. If you wish to purchase any weapons related products, find a base near you to save some big bucks. Hope this helps!

It’s California’s response to the SCOTUS Bruen decision. California was forced to become a “shall issue” state rather than a “may issue” state. They doubled the training requirements and then they drag their feet on issuing the permits.

  • @dawudasha977
    @dawudasha977 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +18

Most "2A Organizations" have no interest in overturning permitting schemes especially in California. They are affiliated with, have holdings or just make way too much money to overturn the CCW Permitting Schemes. It's literally a giant money grab due to Training, application fees, mental evaluations, and attorneys making money off CCW Appeals for denials. In California an attorney will charge $5000 to $10,000 dollars for a CCW Denial Appeal. Do you think they want to overturn the CCW permitting system? Also in California some me issuing agencies use private companies like PERMITIUM to process applications with a standard fee of $125+. Think about it. If you charge $125 and your PRIVATE company processes 100,000 new applications and another 150,000 renewals every year your PRIVATE company is making $62,500,000 every year just processing applications. Then add training, psych evaluations and other fees, you'll see they are making money hands over fist. I would volunteer for a 2A organization and I saw first hand how many in leadership either are CCW trainers or involved with companies that provide training. Michele and Associates do not work pro Bono for members and are one of the ones charging $10,000 just to start an appeal with other fees piling up. Our rights are being sold at a high price and no one wants to do anything about it. I'm looking for an attorney who would use my case and my denial to overturn California's Unconstitutional CCW scheme but not one has any interest. I'm an FFL, highly trained in firearms, range safety officer, DOJ confirmed I can own, possess and buy firearms, no drug or mental health history and nothing in my record that makes me a disqualified person yet the courts still used false allegations from my ex wife and a dismissed case to use towards my denial. The paperwork filed against me using false allegations said "PROSECUTOR REFUSAL" because the investigator knew she was high on drugs and full of crap using the system to try to get back at me for leaving her after she abused my daughter and I found her stash of meth, heroin and syringes.

That's the thing about it. Once a $5 background check is approved, that check can be used to buy a variety of ammunition, provided it's all bought at the same time. Yes, the approval can only be used for one sale, that one sale can consist of several types and/or calibers of ammunition. To challenge or prevent the passage of anti-gun legislation in California, perhaps focus on procedural and evidentiary demands that highlight the necessity for the proposed law and the qualifications of the legislators sponsoring it. Here are some approaches:
    1. Request Proof of Necessity for Legislation
While not legally required, constituents, advocacy groups, or opponents can demand that legislators provide evidence supporting the need for a specific anti-gun law. This can be done by:
    • Filing Public Records Requests: Obtain data, research, or studies cited by legislators to support the proposed legislation.
    • Demanding Transparency in Hearings: Testify during public hearings and ask legislators to present verifiable statistics or case studies proving the legislation addresses an actual issue.
    • Pointing to Existing Laws: Highlight redundancies or inefficiencies if similar laws already address the same concern, making new legislation unnecessary.
    • Engaging Experts: Use testimony from legal, economic, or firearms experts to counter claims made by legislators.
    2. Challenge Legislator Credentials or Expertise
While California legislators are not required to have specific expertise to propose laws, questioning their qualifications or motivations can be an effective strategy:
    • Highlight Bias: Investigate potential conflicts of interest or affiliations with anti-gun organizations and present them during public hearings or media campaigns.
    • Question Legislative Competence: Publicly challenge whether the sponsoring legislator has sufficient understanding of firearms, public safety, or constitutional law.
    • Call for Oversight: Encourage committees to require legislators to consult with a broader range of stakeholders, including Second Amendment advocates, law enforcement, and gun owners.
    3. Public Participation and Advocacy
Mobilizing public opinion is one of the most effective ways to prevent legislation from passing:
    • Attend Public Hearings: Voice opposition during legislative sessions and ask direct questions regarding the necessity and impact of the legislation.
    • Organize Petitions: Collect signatures demanding legislators provide evidence of necessity and credentials to propose such laws.
    • Engage Media: Write opinion pieces, utilize social media, and appear on local news to draw attention to the lack of justification or expertise behind the proposed law.
    4. Legal Challenges
If an anti-gun law is passed, you can challenge its constitutionality:
    • Second Amendment Arguments: Question whether the law infringes on constitutional rights.
    • Equal Protection Claims: Highlight how the law may unfairly target certain groups or regions.
    • Judicial Review: Request courts to evaluate whether the law is based on sound evidence and adheres to legislative processes.
    5. Grassroots Mobilization
Building a coalition of like-minded individuals and organizations can amplify efforts to demand proof of necessity and legislator accountability. Collaborate with:
    • Local gun rights organizations (e.g., California Rifle & Pistol Association).
    • National groups (e.g., NRA, Firearms Policy Coalition).
    • Community leaders and law enforcement who oppose restrictive gun laws.

I have been a firearms shooter since I was 18 and I remember the days you could buy a handgun every day all the ammo needed to practice but now even 1 a month and that tax on ammo keeps me from practicing which is not good, they should know that practice is needed so others won’t be effected. With that said I want to be safe and some people that complain don’t have the resources to buy even 1 a month or more then a 1000 rounds at a time anyways. I don’t think they are trying to take my guns I believe safety is a priority and I am good with that. You just need to be really good with 1 weapon shoot really good and cut back, laws are hard to change I just need to adjust.

SB53 is about the dumbest thing I've heard. What good is a gun if you have go grab it out of a lockbox when it's needed?! And just how are they going to enforce this law!? Are they going to show up at homes and say "Show me your guns"?

Unfortunately, the Federals don't believe in the "well-regulated" part or the "state" part. If Californians want to regulate deadly weapons more tightly, they should be allowed to do so.

It’s called capitalism, if they charge too much for ammo in California you just go elsewhere where the same exact product is less expensive. You can’t make it illegal to purchase legal products outside of a state and transport it to another state. There is federal commerce law making illegal for a state to pass a law forbidding citizens to purchase goods from another state.

Yet the law exists that you cannot import ammunition from other states and it will take a rich sacrificial lamb to make that fight and win and then they write another law immediately afterwards. The problem of getting caught is that they will take your guns and then let you spend years in court fighting it. They know most people can’t afford the fight.

I moved and left the state. I fought the good fight while I was there, but I’m old now and wanted back my Second Amendment rights before I die. And now, I do have them. My new state is constitutional carry, private party sales, no wait, instant check, castle doctrine, NFA weapons, binary triggers, 80% guns, no magazine restrictions, mail order ammo, no safe storage requirement, no gun registration, prices for guns are actually cheaper than California prices and on and on and on… I got sick and tired of waiting decades for what people living across the border have right now…THAT IS A FELONY IN CALIFORNIA. If you like firearms, California is Hell. And the worst part is the majority of California voters hate guns and despise and hate gun owners. Especially your state Government. You are their enemy and you are treated like criminals by the cops, the Kings Men.

Re: SB-2 sensitive places I haven't seen anyone address the issue of being restricted from the parking lots of businesses that sell alcohol on their premise if they share a parking lot with say a grocery or clothing store? This is quite common in Califoria shopping centers. Is that lot still restricted for a CCW holder every though they were going to the grocery or clothing store?
