I just wanted to mention to your current viewers of this video that another outstanding video editing program is DaVinci Resolve; it's available completely for free and rivals the functionality of the Adobe products, but it's free. I am not affiliated with this program or anything like that. It just seems that so many people still don't know about Resolve. I learned to edit using iMovie and switched to Resolve a few months ago. It's a wonderful program with full professional functionality!

Thank you!! Another shortcut to splice a clip is to click where you want it to start and then hit i and then move cursor where you want to end and hit o. Then you can delete or move that clip. Does the same thing you showed, just another option. Have a great school year everyone.

I have a PC instead but I think I am going to try editing my instructional videos for students on my iPad just so I can use the iMovie app (you make it seem very easy to use!). I appreciate that you make your high quality teaching tutorials accessible for us and produce them when you are so busy yourself.
Adding captions would make this video accessible to everyone. Even the autocaptions (autocraptions) are disabled on your video. (Would love to share it! It's a great resource.)

For Windows, the new version of an editor is just called Video Editor or you could use PowerPoint recording toolbar:)
