Since Ive done these type of videos before I know ahead of time that this will need pointing out: I really like both cameras and I would be happy with either. They are just different, thats all. And you get what you pay for.
Whether the price is justified hugely depends on which feature is key to the user. Sometimes I just won't help giggling when I hear people complaining the price on a product, most functions on which they would seldom use. It's a shame these features won't sell in their separate packs―but hey, that's what makes different camera brands unique to themselves. Call it a blight or a bliss, your choice.
Interesting that you feel that center sharpness of the Fuji is sharper then that of the Ricoh. Softer corness of the Fuji I knew, but thought the Ricoh Lens was much better then the Fuji after reading reviews. Seems in real life its neglible. Can't wait for your XF10 review and secretly hope to get a good deal on it on black friday sales.
XF10 best bang for the buck! That flash sync ability and having one built in comes in so handy! One other pro to the Fuji is the better battery life and cheaper batteries! Forgot to add another feature I didn't think I'd use but actually gave me good results is the digital tele converter on the XF10. You can upscale in JPEG mode to 35-50 in a pinch. I found if I had sufficient light or used fill flash that the results were impressive, all while maintaining the 24mp
Oddly enough, I have an XF10 I picked up very cheaply in a sale, and a far older Ricoh GR (Mk 1). For usability, the GR beats the Fuji on just about every level, yet the Fuji is a fun camera to use (and the sensor is very good - frighteningly close to my full frame A7 II). I think the simplicity of Fuji’s snap focus implementation can be an advantage. That said, I think I will eventually get a GR III.
I longed for a pocketable camera with quality images that I could afford and the XF10 came within my price bracket, so I purchased it. I love it and after taking 2 x cameras to Mexico this month, the XF10 was with me over 90% of the time. The images are pleasing but the practicality is it's main or both camera's main benefit, with the leaf shutter and built-in flash being a huge bonus for me. I recently went on a trip to Amsterdam, 4 days 12 people, lots of beer and the XF10 was passed around for all to use. Everyone loved images and that is truly the main point of owning the camera, being able to use it and share the images, the XF10 allows me to do this without worry. The GR cost would make me worry, leaving on a pub table with a load of inebriated individuals chucking it around and leaving in a puddle of beer on the table.
I have an XF10 and absolutely love the image quality for the price (I picked it up for $300Aud 2nd hand) my only criticisms to stop it from being an absolutely perfect camera in the price range is 1. The slow-ish/inaccurate AF at times 2. The lack of customisation and versatility in the snap modes. 3. Slightly buggy wifi/bt photo transfer and remote modes to my phone. Other than that, it's an excellent camera and I'm quite happy with it. Would buy an Xf20 for sure if one was ever made with these issues addressed.
Always wanted to buy a Ricoh but it's not sold in uae market. Therefore went for an used xf10 and I must say image quality is top notch. I carry it around all day and therfore got more better at camera by overcoming it's af and other defiecincies. BTW lovely review.. Always wanted a side by side of both by an expert
What's is the problem with the af? I have heard that some says it's better with an update. But I don't understand what the problem is. I don't have a budget for a griii. Mabay a used grii or a used xf10 if I'm lucky. But I'm very interested in them both. And don't know how to make this decision.
Thanks for the comparison video. It made my mind up for me. I'll be getting an XF10 as the fast street photography features aren't really nessessary for me. I don't mind taking my time to set up. I prefer taking photos of architecture and fishing for people who walk by as apposed to hunting. It's time for me to upgrade my tired old Ricoh Digital GR 4. Though I have found my self using my smart phone allot more paired with a moment anamorphic lens. I love the slight distortion and soft images it produces.
GRii is awesome. I've never used a GRiii but I can't imagine it being much better. GRii has no image stabilization but the picture quality is stunning and I've heard the battery also lasts a lot longer than the GRiii.
There is quite a big difference between the older 16MP (and still very good, IMO) sensor used in the GR II and the 24MP model likely shared by the XF10 and GR III. I bought the the XF10 as a JPEG camera, and was quite surprised when I recently started looking at raw files for the first time. That said, I think Fuji cut too many corners. I bought mine out of curiosity, at a discount of approx €120?
Alberto.
I love these small form factor APS-C cameras. From your review, it seems like some of the limitations of the XF-10, like the limitations of the touch screen to control the Q menu, could be fixed with a software upgrade. If Fuji did this, then the XF-10 could challenge the GR-III in terms of usability.
Excellent, level-headed, even-handed review. Considering the sensor manufacturer is probably the same for both cameras, I assumed prior to watching the video that image quality would be the same, and what sets these two cameras apart is handling and build. I've handled both when I was in Japan earlier this year, and, were I in the market for a new camera, and these were my only choices, I would probably buy the Ricoh because it felt easier to use and nicer in the hand.
great video, thank you Matthias! ....I think horses for courses and image quality is fantastic on both.... I love my XF10 to have with me in my pocket everywhere I go, but then I always have my D750 in my car.... perfect combination :)
I have a Ricoh GR2 and a Fuji X100F and love them both. Almost got the xf10 but went for the X100F instead and I’m glad I did. Thanks for this, once again, well done comparison video.
As I serch for pocketable setup for all around photography, XF10 with M100+22mm2 was my listed finalist, I decided to go with Canon, mainly because I find 35mmEQ more versatile to me.
I have a feeling the Fuji XF10 is gonna get really popular soon. Its Still the only APS-C camera that small ,on the market aside from GRiii... Fuji has a flash, and ricoh has a hotshoe & ibis.
Hi Mattias... Would you know if one can use filter as one can with the X70 or GR II ? Thank you for any insight... * Also, I search your content for the XF-10 review you mention to come on your video, but I couldn't find any review of the XF-10. Did you give up the project at the time, or is it somewhere I didn't see ? Thank you.
Hello Matthias! Great video as always! I would love to see you do a review on the Fujifilm X-M1. It seems to have been forgotten but as far as I know, it is the only entry-lvel Fuji X camera body with an X-trans sensor. It's smaller than the X-E series and very light. I think it's a good candidate for street photography. Keep well!
Hi thanks for the video. Like you I also enjoy shooting with some older cameras. I would just like to give an alt view on the xf10. I dont have the gr3 but I used the gr2 extensively. I have an xf10 and I couldn't be happier. The xf10 is so poorly reviewed so you can find a minty 2nd hand one for about 250usd. One big advantage to the Fuji is better color both in jpeg and raw. I find the default output easier to work with compared to gr2. It's true sometimes the focus is less accurate. But since it's a digital camera I just take a few more shots and one of them is always spot on 😂 I think you will be hard pressed to spot the difference in image quality. The Fuji is not as well made, but one advantage is the lens doesn't have to extend and retract so it doesn't suck in dust like the gr. Xf10 lens cover is shit. Super fiddly. However there are filter ring adaptors u can stick on. With a filter I don't bother with lens cap. The black xf10 looks less cheap compared to the champagne colored one. I think many people looking to get a gr or xf10 is using it as a small EDC camera or as a backup to a pro camera system. I think you'll be very happy with the xf10 especially at the current prices. Anyway I'm just an amateur with way too many cameras. If u guys want to read a good review check out Ming Thein's blog. He's an excellent professional photographer and there are plenty of good articles on the blog.
Oh yah the flash on the Fuji is really good too. Very natural looking. The Fuji app is also pretty decent, allows u to add geotags to your photos. Pretty handy
Mattias I have been a Nikon shooter all of my life and I'm wanting to get a small compact camera to carry with me at all times. I have considered 3 cameras: Ricoh GR iii, Nikon Coolpix A, and Fuji X70. My concern with the GR iii is reading articles where it is sucking in dust annd dirt when the lens extracts and the cost to clean it. The Coolpix A would have a Nikon format which I am used to. The X-70 obviously is outdated. I wonder if you have any other suggestions or what would you pick out of those three cameras? Thanks Best wishes Duane
Hey Mattias, I really enjoy you're photo gear reviews, theyre actually my favorites on TH-cam. Thanks for sharing your experience and expertise with great camera gear in such a straight forward, unbiased, well thought out, elegant and comprehensive manner. Please keep the videos coming sir, I'm learning so much from you. How would rate the fuji xf10 against the gr2? Thanks again.
@@dagr8ape They go for around 400 USD, give or take depending on condition. (Just make sure that you are buying the "GR II" and *not* the "GR Digital II" - they are different cameras, the latter is a much older version.) But I'd recommend buying just the first APS-C version if you're buying used, the model before just called "GR". You can find it for less than half the price of the GRii, and the only meaningful difference is the lack of Wi-fi transfer, which honestly was not well implemented in the GRii. Go with the older one.
Could you do a follow up on the Fuji XF-10 with the latest firmware? There's not much info out there and it seems like it could potentially fix the autofocus issue.
You're one of the reasons i got the GR. Very happy i made the decision! But the Fuji is still a good too. What is that app you are using to determine your snap focus settings.
Hi Mattias. Love your videos, as always! Anyway, I want to ask if I could get a Fuji XF10, X70 or the Ricoh GR ii for around the same price, which one should I get? I want to replace my phone camera for daily and some street photography. Thanks! :)
Beautiful video as usual Mattias!! I know you've mentioned this before, but I cannot for the life of me remember what application you use to calculate DOF, If anyone could let me know, I'd be super grateful! Keep shooting guys! 📸
i'm not a professional photographer, i don't know how to use all those complicated dials, therefore personally i prefer something small that comes with awesome photo
Hey mattias, I’d like to ask...which one would you choose out of the two in terms of pure image quality and sharpness? In addition, I’m looking to purchase a camera for daily shots (people and architecture) and one of the more important features is light weight body and portability. The main interest is pure image quality and sharpness and the cameras I’m considering are these two and xt30 18-55 kit. Which one of these would you recommend me buying? Thank you very much 😀
great review. i was a fan of the x100 design but felt the GR would fit much better as a portable easy to carry camera where ever I go but with this fuji option now at a much cheaper price it also looks very interesting to consider as again a 2nd minor camera to go out to shoot for fun where as the GR and its price tag i feel should be treated as the main camera.
@@gearreallydoesntmatter well of course its good for smaller models to compete with the main flag ships. it shows that the company is not removing features on purpose to push buyers to get the most expensive model and its just good money value for budget cameras for hobbyist. I meet with an old friend who's dad sold the fuji pro1, and the pro line are still rather expensive but the XF-10 and the X-E3 i think would be a perfect fit budget wise and small portable. I personally would want my main camera to be the H2 for filming but am looking around for a 2nd minor camera for the very purpose i mentioned before (and vlogging maybe X-T100 with the flip screen would work for me) its simply amazing that fuji has a camera for everyone.
I have XF10, Coolpix A, RX1R and NX500 with 16mm pancake and tbh they all work equally well for street. XF10 lens barely moves out when you turn it on - I really like that. Snapshot makes street easy work and frees your mind to concentrate on shooting rather than fretting over camera settings. XF10 con for me was lack of hoop for fitting a neck strap. I had to modify a half case to get around that. Also Fuji cams not supported by DXO Photolab is a consideration for those who use it. I invested in Capture One Pro 12 but it's not cheap.
What about the capacity (if not tendency) for dust issues? I know that Ricoh made adjustments to the GR III to address the rampant dust issues with the GR II. However, try as I might, I don't see people ever talking about dust issues with Fuji fixed-lens cameras and, most importantly, there is an awful lot less lens movement (to create air movement) in the XF10 compared to the GR III, right? What do you think?
I'm quite happy with my Fuji X-T2 and 35mm f/2 for street photography, but every so often a comparison like this shows up and it's tempting to buy a _real_ street camera.
I like the idea of 1.8m - infinity, it would be nice to customise though. I usually like to hyper focal at f4, and a little bit closer. Maybe 1.2m being the close end.
I have been using the xf10 as my daily pocket camera for 3 months, and I use the snapshot mode at 5 meters all the time. It works perfectly and I have never had an unsharp shot. The depth of field is from close to infinity, and from startup to shot is less than a second in snapshot mode. Good enough for this guy....
Does anyone know why we haven't seen more firmware updates for the XF10, to address some of the issues Mattias discusses? For example, why haven't they added a 3rd Snapshot Mode that is customizable? Also, why haven't they added highlight-weighted metering for street shooters? Fuji is usually so good about improving their cameras. Why not on the XF10?
I haven’t tried the Gr3 but I bought the XF10 since I really like Fujifilm cameras. But something about this camera did not connect with me and I returned it after 2 days.
xaxaxa imagine if everyone returned their first bike after two days, there is always a learning curve. Very few cameras have connected with me in such a short time. Can only think of two, both Leica.
I was right. See my comment from a year ago. The XF10 finally got popular. How it can be 50% of the gr3 is beyond me. The Fuji has a flash and an electronic shutter and a way better battery life. All features the gr does Not have.
How would the Sony RX-100 compare here? Not taking the price into consideration that much. I'm looking for an all-around point and shoot with great image stabilization and autofocus. Would Sony be the best option or are there any other alternatives?
@@gearreallydoesntmatter just to point out, I'm a very simple guy when it comes to cameras. Literally, point and shoot and I want the pictures to be high quality just from that so that I don't need to adjust them in any way afterwards. Simplicity of use is key and quality results. With that in mind, can fuji and ricoh compare with the Sony?
totally agree with the vid and your Point. I wished AF could have been better.. it keeps going back and forth and pic come out hazy and not sharp.. only with full auto it gets me sharp images... every day I check Fujifilm in hope that a new firmware will end this AF mess...
I prefered the XF10 over the Ricoh GR II (two) BUT I have not used the newer GR III. I find the built in flash of both the XF10 and GR II VERY useful. Sadly the GR III lacks one and they don't provide it as a slip on either.
I'm starting to think that Mattias isn't the english equivalent of Matthew (both of which really mean "gift from God" ), it's really MIDAS because every camera he uses the results are golden - than anything I've ever done...
You should have compared the Ricoh GRiii with x100f or 100t , would have been a better comparison as although the Fuji is more expensive , they are in same price bracket. The GRii is a more competitive price now , closer to the Fuji budget XF-10, would had made a better comparison.Although I would rate the GRii to come close to the higher end Fuji 100.
Main difference, one has built in flash and one has ibis. With the GR you can easily add a micro sized hot shoe flash from reflx lab. You can't easily add an ibis unit to the xf10. I think that's the difference
Very nice video and pretty interesting comparison, even though I find more reasonable to compare the xf10 with the GR II. The GR III is still a little bit overpriced due to the fact that it's the last version and there are no similar models with those specs. Atm the GR II is a real best buy!
Amar Mangaonkar no, I sometimes include a couple of full res samples on my reviews on the site. But this wasn’t a review. I will do it on the xf10 review, link to site in description.
its a nice camera I'm still not sure why I don't have one because even here in Australia it can be easily had for under $500 brand new, but I also can't help but wonder could you do better for its money.

Hi, since you mentioned the use of the ipad pro for lightroom editing what are your impressions about it and about the new photoshop app? Thank you !
Alberto Grazian it’s ok but not being able to export highest quality images sucks. So I can’t use it for pro work.

Thank you for the A’s always good and very helpful review! What is the app with the nice design you are using for the DOF calculation?
Hyperfocal pro.
I have a feeling the Fuji XF10 is gonna get really popular soon. Its Still the only APS-C camera that small ,on the market aside from GRiii... Fuji has a flash, and ricoh has a hotshoe & ibis.
Ive been waiting for this review too! Thank you! ❤️
Keep well!
Been waiting for this. Thank you!
But since it's a digital camera I just take a few more shots and one of them is always spot on 😂
I think you will be hard pressed to spot the difference in image quality.
Mattias
I have been a Nikon shooter all of my life and I'm wanting to get a small compact camera to carry with me at all times.
Thanks
Best wishes
Duane
Gréât vidéo as usual. What application do you use for the depth of fiel?
Huperfocal pro.
Good morning Mattias. New Fuji xf10 or used Fuji x70. Biggest sensor vs tilting screen.? Many thanks for your great videos.
I felt the sudden urge to subscribe around the 4:26 mark. Odd, that.
Did nobody recognize your name ???
Hey Mattias, I really enjoy you're photo gear reviews, theyre actually my favorites on TH-cam. Thanks for sharing your experience and expertise with great camera gear in such a straight forward, unbiased, well thought out, elegant and comprehensive manner. Please keep the videos coming sir, I'm learning so much from you. How would rate the fuji xf10 against the gr2? Thanks again.
They would have almost the same differences.
@@gearreallydoesntmatter hello again sir. Could you please give me an idea on what you consider to be a good, fair price for a brand new gr2?
@@dagr8ape They go for around 400 USD, give or take depending on condition. (Just make sure that you are buying the "GR II" and *not* the "GR Digital II" - they are different cameras, the latter is a much older version.) But I'd recommend buying just the first APS-C version if you're buying used, the model before just called "GR". You can find it for less than half the price of the GRii, and the only meaningful difference is the lack of Wi-fi transfer, which honestly was not well implemented in the GRii. Go with the older one.
@@eyewandersfoto thank you.
Could you do a follow up on the Fuji XF-10 with the latest firmware? There's not much info out there and it seems like it could potentially fix the autofocus issue.
Fuji please update the X70.
Hi Mattias, loving your channel all the way from Indonesia! What app do you use for hyperfocal distance calculator my friend?
It's hyperfocal pro by zendroid
The only reason holding me back from buying the XF10 is the lack of hotshoe mount. =(
You're one of the reasons i got the GR. Very happy i made the decision! But the Fuji is still a good too. What is that app you are using to determine your snap focus settings.
Huperfocal pro.
Hi Mattias. Love your videos, as always! Anyway, I want to ask if I could get a Fuji XF10, X70 or the Ricoh GR ii for around the same price, which one should I get? I want to replace my phone camera for daily and some street photography. Thanks! :)
I got the fuji xf10 new as the used grii was more expensive then the fuji, but if you can get the grii for less go for it.
@@nicholashadathy7364 thanks for your reply.
Nice video! How does X70 compares to GR3?
I might make a video about that since I currently have both.
So is there a review coming on the XF10? Almost ready to get it but I wonder about the AF. Also awesome content Mattias!
No review, sorry.
Beautiful video as usual Mattias!!
I know you've mentioned this before, but I cannot for the life of me remember what application you use to calculate DOF, If anyone could let me know, I'd be super grateful!
Keep shooting guys!
📸
I think that it's HyperFocal Pro
Nice video! What’s the app you use for hyperfocal DOF calculations?
i'm not a professional photographer, i don't know how to use all those complicated dials, therefore personally i prefer something small that comes with awesome photo
4:26 Box 5 :)
Thank you very much 😀
Both of these have the same level of sharpness and are smaller than the T30.
If you had to pick one of the fujis, which would you pick: xf10, x70, or x100f?
I think that’d be x70. Because of the tilting screen. And compact size as well.
great review. i was a fan of the x100 design but felt the GR would fit much better as a portable easy to carry camera where ever I go but with this fuji option now at a much cheaper price it also looks very interesting to consider as again a 2nd minor camera to go out to shoot for fun where as the GR and its price tag i feel should be treated as the main camera.
JayGrapher.Th isn’t it a good thing if it competes with the main camera? :)
I personally would want my main camera to be the H2 for filming but am looking around for a 2nd minor camera for the very purpose i mentioned before (and vlogging maybe X-T100 with the flip screen would work for me)
its simply amazing that fuji has a camera for everyone.
Will there be a full review on the XF10? Looking forward to that. Thanks.
I plan to make one but the holidays might come in between.
Thank you and happy holidays!
If I hadn't subscribed already, the custom menu item renamed to ask this would have made me do it.
As always great, even though I'm not into either of these cameras. Question, will you do one on the SX-70?
I will.
Good comparison video 👍
What settings do you have at BOX3: SX-70 @ 4:25? Do you emulate Polaroid image style somehow?
No Im just using it as a light meter.
All cameras get dust.
I'm quite happy with my Fuji X-T2 and 35mm f/2 for street photography, but every so often a comparison like this shows up and it's tempting to buy a _real_ street camera.
Som altid en herlig video. Jeg elsker din hund, den bedste model på TH-cam 🙂
Hi Mattias. I wanted to have a 28mm pocket camera but GR is not an option. I'm choosing between XF10 vs X70 and I'm not sure what to get.
GRii? Cost about the same as the xf10 and X70.
@@gearreallydoesntmatter Reason why I left out the GR is because it's hard to get one from where I am but definitely want that GRii. Thanks, Mattias!
Great comparison!
Damian Brown Thank mate :)
Even though I shoot a X-T1, I picked up the GR2 instead of the xf-10. Couldn't have been happier.
What app is that? The phone app on the video that calculate focus length with aperture??
yea, i want to know it too !
Id like to ask about your opinion on are these cameras suitable for outdoor/camping photography since weight is a big thing..
For me they would. But others milage may vary depending on how they like to shoot.
@@gearreallydoesntmatter basic landspace shooting,sunset/rise
@@azsamsasho I would have no problem using them for that. And I do, quite often.
@@gearreallydoesntmatter thank you,be well
I like the idea of 1.8m - infinity, it would be nice to customise though. I usually like to hyper focal at f4, and a little bit closer. Maybe 1.2m being the close end.
のぢGrey you can do that on both with MF. They remember it when turned off and on the Ricoh you save it to the wheel.
@@gearreallydoesntmatter That is a serious motivator to buy one.
Fuji has always been very conservative with firmware for xf and x series. X100v being an exception.
Awesome what flash are you using on the GR? and how do you trigger it off hand? 🤗
Raynold Tibayan check my GRiii review.
Thank you 🤙
I haven’t tried the Gr3 but I bought the XF10 since I really like Fujifilm cameras. But something about this camera did not connect with me and I returned it after 2 days.
xaxaxa imagine if everyone returned their first bike after two days, there is always a learning curve. Very few cameras have connected with me in such a short time. Can only think of two, both Leica.
@@gearreallydoesntmatter For me, Leica and Pentax. Easy go cameras.
thank you! , right what I was looking for, from month, as I was thinking for my needs the Fuji is top
hmm. the differences dont seem to justify the price differential. but always good videos. thanks!
It's all subjective. For me the prices makes total sense after comparing them.
If the Fuji could take a viewfinder like the GRiii, I'd really consider that. But since it can't, that's my main deal breaker for the XF10
Hi Mattias, can the XF10 hold a filter?
I was right. See my comment from a year ago. The XF10 finally got popular. How it can be 50% of the gr3 is beyond me. The Fuji has a flash and an electronic shutter and a way better battery life. All features the gr does Not have.
The GR3 has much more features, is much faster to use and handle.
i was on the fence for months, and really went back and forth about spending the cash on the GR. Now that I have one...totally worth the price.
One question would be the XF-10 vs the GRii. Both are similar in size and price now
Hi Mattias. Are you still shooting your M9?
tarang bharti no I don’t have it. I only own two cameras over time, so to be able to run this channel things gets flipped.
How would the Sony RX-100 compare here? Not taking the price into consideration that much. I'm looking for an all-around point and shoot with great image stabilization and autofocus. Would Sony be the best option or are there any other alternatives?
Personally I would prefer the GRii, GRiii, X70 or XF10 over an RX100. But I have owned 5-6 RX100 cameras, they are pretty good.
Depends on your style. In image quality the Sony will fall behind. But its more about how you like to shot.
What app is that at 3:54?
You are the king of Every Camera is a Great Camera.
totally agree with the vid and your Point. I wished AF could have been better.. it keeps going back and forth and pic come out hazy and not sharp.. only with full auto it gets me sharp images... every day I check Fujifilm in hope that a new firmware will end this AF mess...
classic chrome or positive film more often seems to naill it? ( or clássic negative if you tried the xpro3) which do you like more?
Tomás Tancredi personally I use Adobe standard the most across all cameras.
I love your Ricoh videos!
That was a good comparison. So if price decides would I be rude to ask how you feel between a used grii and the Fuji?
I prefered the XF10 over the Ricoh GR II (two) BUT I have not used the newer GR III. I find the built in flash of both the XF10 and GR II VERY useful. Sadly the GR III lacks one and they don't provide it as a slip on either.
Prefer a Q20 over one in the hot shoe.
I don’t think it matters what camera you touch. You just have talents my friend. Can’t wait for your next video.
I'm starting to think that Mattias isn't the english equivalent of Matthew (both of which really mean "gift from God" ), it's really MIDAS because every camera he uses the results are golden - than anything I've ever done...
Is the XF10 review coming soon? :)
It won't happen, sorry.
No, that would not have been better.
Do you plan to review the Fuji XF-10?
No, sorry. But I will review the Coolpix A which is another affordable option.
What mini flash are you using with the gr?
Check my full GRiii review.
Main difference, one has built in flash and one has ibis.
With the GR you can easily add a micro sized hot shoe flash from reflx lab. You can't easily add an ibis unit to the xf10. I think that's the difference
Ibis is not very useful on the GRiii for 99.5% if the times. It’s nice but I would trade it for a flash any day of the week.
@@gearreallydoesntmatter fair enough! But the little reflx flash on the gr is pretty great as well!
Yeah and off camera flash is always easier to get great results with imo.
does anyone know if the xf-10 is made in Japan or China? Thanks
I feel like Fuji missed a trick with the XF10. Was crying out for an X80 but they compromised too much...
They didn't compromise at all imo. This is not an X70 replacement and doesn't try to be. It's supposed to sit well bellow the X70.
Very nice video and pretty interesting comparison, even though I find more reasonable to compare the xf10 with the GR II. The GR III is still a little bit overpriced due to the fact that it's the last version and there are no similar models with those specs. Atm the GR II is a real best buy!
vonflafa Compared to the XF10 the GRiii seems perfectly priced imo.
Saving money is always the best choice
Not always.
Hey can you create cloud where we can see original images. TH-cam compresses quality a lot.
Amar Mangaonkar no, I sometimes include a couple of full res samples on my reviews on the site. But this wasn’t a review. I will do it on the xf10 review, link to site in description.
Sooo to you which is better. The X70 or the X10?
They both have their strengths. If Fuji brings their snap mode to the X70 it would be a game changer.
Fuji marketing guy to Fuji engineers: "make it cheaper; we can’t compete with the GR on features and performance."
Walter Tomashefsky That’s probably what happened.
its a nice camera I'm still not sure why I don't have one because even here in Australia it can be easily had for under $500 brand new, but I also can't help but wonder could you do better for its money.
Nice video as always, what is the app us in the video?
