I adore the idea of an Adventurer's Guild, just a shame the concept can't be applied in the real world. Anyway, great use of gobbiespeak, that was fun. The Gobbies are one of my favorite peoples in FFXIV.
I mean.... A data base of people and what tasks they are capable of. Perhaps with a portfolios of examples of what they can do and credentials. A submission form for requests for work tagged by category and price. A matching system that lets you pick who you wish to hire out of who most likely has the skills for what you need done. Including arranging team of people to ask to work together. Maybe with a "willing to collaborate" tag so "adventurers" can opt out if they wanna roll alone. or a "works in a group" for people who want to make a team of "adventurers" that do things. A help desk with trained consultants to help you figure out what skills you need if you don't know exactly, and to suggest a price range likely to get picked up quickly by an "adventurer". A monetary transaction system that holds funds until the work is confirmed as done on both ends. A percentage is added to the final bill to cover the operation and maintenance of the guild OR is due as a monthly fee for being an "adventurer with the guild" A rating system to allow people to give feed back on the work done by specific adventurers. It's completely applicable to the real world. In fact it's been done! We just call "adventurers" freelance workers IRL. And the "Adventures guilds" would be freelance agencies and freelance work sites!

Doesn’t mercenary work exist? Though for more mundane tasks, I doubt it would fit the idea of “adventure” for people looking for excitement. But then again, even some of the most mundane tasks by the Guild are lethal to those unprepared to the task.
This mindset helps with the tedium of watching the Continental Circus trip over themselves for the umpteenth time. I always pull the short straw on All Saint's Wake.
I was there when revenant's toll was being built up patch by patch (same with Idyllshire) I miss that they did that with certain zones it's like the adventurers moved in and claimed it. Domain Enclave wasn't as cool imo because it was instance based for your individual character and not server based and the beastman tribe areas already did something like that.
Endwalker spoiler comment below I wonder if they will do the same thing with the "restaurant" in Ultima Thule. From the little side quests, it looks like they're going to slowly build it up into a proper place over time.
tbh, m sad that i couldnt see that it would have been so cool to arrive at these places n see how they looked back then when you get there... they could have later tied it to story progression.. if that would even work

They gave up any claim to Old Sharlayan or so much of a ilm to Eorzea when they fled from the Garleans like cowardly whipped dogs and abandoned Eorzea to be conquered or take heavy losses to keep their freedom. Granted I’m speaking as one who hasn’t played Endwalker yet but I don’t know if anything they did do during that expansion will make up for their cowardly abandonment of so many people.
The second I saw during elpis meeting with venat I just realized the azem she's talking about is different depending your class gender. That point my mind was blown away thinking am I the azem all along???

There is in fact a cannon age requirement before you can sign up to become part of the guild. (We don't know the exact number.) Mostly because the jobs can be to dangerous for anyone that isn't fully matured.
