    Genuinely loved watching this. I used to do midi compositions back in the late 90s early 2000s for fun, this makes me appreciate the process even more! My wife is a HS band teacher, teaching virtually this semester, and things like this are fantastic tools to use as examples to get their minds going as independent musicians.

    Once again, love this content. The concept of separating the low and high of the keys part is beautiful. I like doing something similar if I'm doing an acoustic guitar. Obviously not playing the low and high strings separately, but basically having a crossover to separate everything under 450Hz and everything above then throwing them left/right

    Hey, Cody. Love learning from these song breakdowns and your tips. My question is a bit more general. You're obviously crazy musically talented as a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriter, composer, arranger, performer etc. What do you consider to be your strongest area as a musician and how do you balance these areas of musicianship?
    I sometimes feel as a musician that I can be the jack of all trades and master of none, but I also want to be excellent.

    • @godbeforeme
      @godbeforeme 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Cody Fry thanks for responding. I’ll be sure to check out that book. It’s a good reminder to just have fun and keep learning. Also, I figured you would respond with arranging. I’ve remember searching choral pieces for Christmas and hearing demos thinking the orchestral arrangement sounded like you only to find that you did in fact arrange the instrumentals. Keep crushing it, man!!
