This Mini Cooper was placed on a 1995 Jeep Wrangler frame all for show. it was built to sit in a company parking look and look cool being towed in prides. We bought this monster truck to make it properly function and take it off road for real! The week we made custom hydraulic steering, built a full fuel system, got all of the power working in the mini cooper, first strart and much more! This is Grind Hard Plumbing Co!

I may or may not have paused the video and rewound frame-by-frame for a bit, but I read the labels on your toolbox. And I must commend you on your creativity. For those who don't want to go back themselves, the ones I managed to decipher are Kinetic Persuaders, Supply Chain Issues, Freedom Units, Safety Third, Do It For The Ratchets, Manual Spinny Bois, and Pinchy Pinchers. In the event that you see this, I would love to know what's in each of them and the labels for the other drawers
haha i did the same thing :P i thought i saw freedom units when he went into the box, but i wasnt sure, so i had to go back and pause and confirm haha!

Leeroy, I'm relatively certain that Ethan and the crew thought about doing a video on the building of that shop. Be patient, and they'll probably show it in a few more months.

Needs to be double the size! It’s not like they don’t have the space.
Plus they keep doing these bigger builds lately & a few different builds on at the same time. So that size will still feel like a cramped workshop because they’ll likely get a big plasma table, bigger lathe, couple of big assembly tables & before you know it there won’t be much empty floor space once the trucks, buggy’s, power wheels, boats & cars are in there.
You can NEVER have too much space in a workshop!!
Been waiting literal years to see the new shop build. So crazy that its finally happening and to see the house probably not get "finsihed" per say, before the shop would be hilarious. Love the videos as always especially these last few longer ones

@@intentsmodz Possible, but based on construction, either this was a draft or like Slick said, never intended to do anything but move about at putter speeds. I have no, on hands experience with monster trucks, i'm European, but i do with military vehicles and that ain't enough for heavy duty use.
@@aserta I'm building one myself but it's on an s10 chassis to make it easier to drop the LS in it later, plus it fit the wheelbase the best. A 2dr blazer is almost perfect.

Dude at the end of my street has an FJ40 with that swap and it’s a little tractor.
For future reference you'll want to cycle the front wheels by hand before first starting the pump. PSC stuff is super nice and it'll last a long time if you prime it correctly.

also, can you imagine a revolver-style break clean injection setup? 8-12 cans of brake cleaner in a cylinder with a slow-release hammer that doubles as a throttle response. im not sure how you would measure each can to know when to "shift" injection sources unless you're just relying on lack of throttle to indicate an empty can but a fun idea regardless

Now this is what I call thinking outside the Box!!! I found this video to be extremely entertaining, and what I enjoyed most was not only the mini cooper monster truck, but listening to each of the guys using logic to come up with solutions to the multitude of issues that came up during the build. We all know common sense doesnt grow on trees, so watching the problem solving in action, really helps to show and appreciate what it takes to build that common sense, and intution required to pull off such a build like this. Great job Guys!
To prevent the risk of loosing steering if the engine suddenly blows, seizes, stalls, etc. You could add a normal 4 stroke horizontal shafted mower engine with an electric start that could run the hydraulic pump for the steering rack. You could plumb the fuel lines to the same main gas tank and just add a low pressure pump for the carb if it's higher than the tank. Push button inside for start and ignition off on the key. I think it would be a relatively cheap and a pretty simple install with the adapters you guys used to plumb the steering rack, and it would allow more power to the wheels plus a dedicated engine for the hydraulic system.
Love your videos guys! The engineer in me would love to work on stuff like this, but sadly pretty hard to find space and expensive to get the equipment necessary.

I think it was clamped to the table or whatever it sits on, stand, what have you, or the bottom of the lathe itself rather than the piece. I tried to watch it back to see but it's just out of frame, it seems. Because you're right that would have got him a good wake up call for sure. I'm definitely glad it didn't.

I used to tow cars and picking up/dropping off cars at their lot always made me a bit bummed that it wasn't really built to drive. It makes me so happy to see ya'll making this thing what it should have been!

I did this with a 91 RS T top. It was the funnest vehicle I ever drove. Quite gratifying the day I drove it out of the garage and then to work the next day. What a blast and I miss it

Ethan, yes, you could pour concrete while it's raining. Did you know that it becomes extremely warm because of the chemical reactions of the ingredients that's in it? Yes, it does. Down in the Keyes of Florida, those bridges that link them together had the concrete poured into the water. It was the same up here in the city of Welland, which is in the province of Ontario. Welland is in the Niagara Peninsula. The city bought property and put a bridge across the Welland Recreational Warerway, which was formerly the Welland Canal, where large boats traveled in. They pile drived rebar into the bottom of it at the tops of them put two or more piers there. Please don't be afraid of pouring it in rain. The water in it will evaporate whatever the weather is doing.
Yes, concrete will cure while submerged in water and yes, the water will help cool the concrete as it heats up during the curing process. However the reason for not pouring in the rain is so you can get a good glazed finish so the concrete is nice and smooth. Makes it so much easier to paint, install any type of floor covering or clean. You aren’t wrong, just not seeing the real reason for avoiding the pour.

That driveline could benefit from a slip yoke eliminator and a double cardone drive shaft. I'm hopeful you have enough distance that it's not vibrating.

Double cardone? Please explain, I'm not sure I know what you're talking about. Are you talking about using constant velocity joints vs U joints? What am I missing in my understanding?
I do know what a slip yoke eliminator and agree, anything with any significant amount of articulation could benefit from one for sure. Even on a small lift on the XJ Cherokees we were building back in the day, it was a necessity if you wanted to do anything actually fun off road.

Y’all are the best. Please be careful with the smoke, “Moderate” air quality can be harmful over extended periods of time. I use MyRadar for weather stuff, pretty cool even on the free version. Will alert you to rain, lightning, NOAA alerts, air quality, earthquakes, and wildfire hotspots. I don’t know whether to be happy or sad we didn’t get to see Will do push-ups 😂

I have an 04 Mini Cooper, and you end up NEVER looking at that centre mounted speedometer, I always just use the digital one above the steering wheel.
loved my mini, cracking little motor. Fun think to do with them is you can start the engine with out the key in the slot, put the key in with all doors shut pull it out and the start the engine.(worked on my mini first). once did it on a motorway and just chucked the key at the passanger they shit a brick lol
