I think it’s hilarious that two completely random characters that have 20 seconds of screen time at best are giving Back stories so deep and complex. Why don’t we have the mouse droids be the ultimate artificial intelligence in the galaxy?

Hell, look at Boba Fett, he collectively had (maybe) 15 seconds of screen time.
But people fell in love with the character and as a result he later played a massive role in "The Clone Wars" and has his own feature film in the works....
It's just the nature of the fans I obsessing over everything in the original films...
There is a story where IG-88 downloaded his mind or whatever it is( I couldn't figure out how to spell the other word I meant nor how to describe it) into the death star before it got blown up over the Forest Moon of Endor.

Some asshole on the internet if you read Tales Feom The Mos Eisley Cantina and Tales From Jabba's Palace you'll quite a few characters have been given colorful backgrounds.
I recall reading a backstory about how the red droid next to R2D2 purposely blew a gasket after learning about R2D2's mission and wanted to help put an end to the Galactic Empire by keeping C3PO and R2D2 together.
Yeah, every being, droid, and piece of furniture has a backstory in Star Wars.
I think that Boba Fett is like the Gandalf of Star Wars, because whenever something happens, you can always find him there with something to do with it.

I like to imagine Boba Fett killed him simply because he was such a big criminal. He didn’t care about the bounty, he just wanted the man dead.
Boba Fett is like the Clint Eastwood of Star Wars. He does crime as an honorable job, and doesn't cross the line of what's considered truly despicable. To him, the truly depraved must be genuine scum worthy of death. Like "I do my work as a job. This bastard takes it too far."
This is one of my favorite things about Star Wars lore, a character only on screen for a 30 second scene has such a rich back story
I would love a Star Wars RPG to be made again, imagine waking into a cantina and hearing about this psychopath from random npc dialogue.

Well Kenobi was a hermit for a long time, and hiding in the cantina would ensure some form of cover as trying to kill them would most likely start a brawl as well as only bounty hunters would consider it common knowledge of their most wanted status
they probs thought he was either drunk, hyping himself up, or both. Besides, what's the likelyhood that his appearance is common knowledge, if they were almost never in the same place twice?

About as difficult as Han shooting first due to Greedo loudly proclaiming to anybody in earshot that he was going to be dragging Captain Solo in to see Jabba whether he was alive or not, which makes Han’s actions a clear cut case of self defense no matter how much Georgie Lucas and Disney don’t want to admit it. 😑

I would say the good parts were: The opening scene with Captain Canady. Anything with Luke or Snoke. Yoda!, The Hyperspace jump, Chewie flying the falcon. and of course Luke on Crait. thats pretty much half the movie right there. and its all good

This was a great video, and when the poll came up as to which version was better I had trouble deciding since I liked both so much. I like his origins in canon better but in terms of after the movies legends just had alot more info about him. That being said I decided to go with legends since the idea of literally bringing himself back from the dead and disappearing with only rumors of his activity persisting was so interesting.

This is one of the best examples of Star Wars creating backstories for characters no one asked for. He would have been better as just some drunk dude trying to act tough as he was implied to be in A New Hope

So he made Servitors, something the Mechanicus of the Warhammer 40k universe does constantly, and everyone hated him and wanted him dead. Tells you a lot about the general mindset of both universes.
In WH40K, servitors are either made from criminals, which were on the death row anyway, or have vat-grown organic components (allows more control over the process, resulting in lesser amount of potential problems, which pleases Omnissiah). Turning people into servitors without legal reasons will quickly give you ire of non-heretical Mechanicus, Ministorum, Ecclesiarchy and, if you go too much, Inquisition too.

So the story/movie got it mixed up. So the Dr pulled out his blaster, yet the man behind him got his arm chopped off while the blaster is in it??? Big error book+film*
lul....i was just watching a vid comparing multiple universe such as star wars, halo, 40k and stuff. What Evazan did (kidnap people and turn them into mindless slave) is standard practice of producing servitors in 40k universe. Awesome vid man... never realized that scene in rogue one has any meaning at all until watching this

No in legends Ponda Baba, and Evazan became enemies. Ponda would later be arrested by the Bothans on Bothawui.
I remember hearing about this guy in some encyclopedia book i got. It said he preformed "creative surgery" on unwilling patients.

I remember reading that zombie story in the Galaxy of Terror series. I think it was the second book in the series. I remember he paralyzed a kid to make him seem dead. They buried him then flesh eating worms burrowed into him turning him into a zombie.
