The look of surprise on Rickman's face as he fell onto an airbag was real. He had been told he'd be dropped on the count of 3. Instead they did it on 2! LOL
Little fun fact, Bruce Willis wasn't a very known movie actor before this movie. He was on a sitcom show called Moonlighting and was more a comedic detective sitcom. He really wasn't wanted for this role because no one thought he would be believable as an action star. Everything was history after that! Great reaction guys. You guys crack me up! excited for the next!
Moonlighting was not a sitcom. It was, as it was called at the time, a "dramedy"...Bruce Willis played a detective who had a semi professional relationship with the owner of this detective agency. He would sometimes break the fourth wall...a great episode that perfectly encapsulates their spicy relationship is Atomic Shakespeare. It ran five years...Die Hard was made between season 4 and 5.
I didn't like the title and movie posters all over Manchester Die Hard? What does that mean? And Bruce Willis? The Moonlighting guy? I bet it's shit. I missed the opportunity to see it at the cinema first time. What an idiot.
Great reaction ❤️. And yes this movie is a classic. And I watch it every year right before Christmas. These kinds of movies I like.. Bad guys taking over and this one guy that throws a monkey wrench into their plans and strikes back... And by the time the movie ends, is the winner
"Die Hard": This little-known song sums up "John McClane" and "Holly Gennaro": th-cam.com/video/wYHleFFhlFk/w-d-xo.html Bruce Willis' "John McClane" isn't the usual 1980's Action movie hero. He isn't a muscle-bound Rambo clone, rides in the FRONT seat of Argyle's limousine, has moments of Fear/Uncertainty/Introspection, takes damage, and is "dead man walking" by the last quarter of the movie. These character traits are admired by men and women. So, the meme: "Christmas doesn't begin until Hans Gruber falls off the Nakatomi Plaza building." Cultural note: Gene Belcher of "Bob's Burgers": Why is no one singing? Why is no one dancing? Dise Hard: The Musical!
Best. Action. Movie. Ever. it's the perfect mix of humor, tension, action, and emotion - with PERFECT casting. and remember: it's not Christmas until Hans Gruber falls from the Nakatomi Tower! Keep up the great work! It's been fun seeing you discover these amazing movies. And seeing you understand that just because they're a bit dated, that doesn't mean they aren't some of the best films made.
Bruce Willis first was on tv show moonlighting very popular in the 1980s, then this movie came out .I saw in theaters, absolute blastttttg! Love, love, love cemented as super star action star with Arnold, and stallone.Saw multiple, multiple time in theaters.
One of the best action movies ever made. Saw this on release back in 88 and at the t8me Willis was only known for comedy roles. Alan Rickman’s best role too.
Fun Facts: Richard Dean Anderson of MacGyver fame was the first actor considered for the role of John McClane in Die Hard. Other actors considered for the role included top Hollywood talent like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson, Alec Baldwin, Tom Berenger, Charles Bronson, Robert De Niro, Clint Eastwood, Harrison Ford, and Richard Gere. Bruce Willis eventually accepted the role in what would be his first action role and only his second film role at that time. The rest as they say is history. BTW, I love your reaction channel. Keep up the great work.
Bruce Willis suffers from partial hearing loss in his left ear because of firing a gun next to his head for this movie. Most people believe it is when he fired the gun while under the table.
Really fun series with maybe the exception of the last one. But you still should watch them all. This was the film that made Bruce a movie star. Before that he was in tv.
If you guys enjoyed this one you guys might also like Escape from New York, also the original RoboCop from '87, and Starship Troopers if you haven't seen those yet.
This was Alan Rickman's 1st movie role.
Probably his best performance as a super smart villain even better than those James Bond villains.
Iconic performance .
RIP, Alan Rickman .
Glad you guys enjoyed the best xmas movie ever created. 😁
😆 🤣

640 million in 1988 would be equal to 1.7 billion dollars today 🧐
And 640 million in 2024 would be equal to 35 CENTS in 1988! LMAO
The little daughter that was being interviewed on tv is an adult in DH4, and is part of the storyline.
DH4 is an AWESOME movie....my second fav besides this one

Alan Rickman played the most loveable bad guys. I think he stole the show in this movie and in QUIGLEY DOWN UNDER. RIP Alan Rickman😢
He was fantastic on this!
I liked him in Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves the best and of course Galaxy Quest.
@@ghstdnsr Absolutely, he made ROBINHOOD PRINCE OF THIEVES watchable. Everything he was in was improved by at least 50%.
