University of Iowa PhD candidate Patrick "Dice" Highland promoted to Lieutenant Colonel

The U.S. Air Force has promoted a University of Iowa Technology Institute (ITI) graduate research assistant to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, an accomplishment recognized in a ceremony at ITI’s Operator Performance Lab (OPL) in December. Read more: iti.uiowa.edu/news/2022/01/op...
The Operator Performance Lab is led by Tom "Mach" Schnell, a University of Iowa professor of industrial and systems engineering and test pilot. OPL offer benchtop and live flight testing resources with a fleet of aircraft and UAVs, including two Mi-2 Hoplite Helicopters, an L-39 Albatros jet, and two L-29 Delfin jets. iti.uiowa.edu/labs/operator-p...
