I can't believe how unenthusiastic these students were during this lecture. This is Duke for Christ's sake. Given the point of the lecture, it's likely that they're freshmen and hopefully experiencing one of, if not there first lecture in political science. You have to hope so, otherwise they're in the wrong room.

Seems more of a why major in philosophy than political science. A lot of what Munger describes resembles philosophical inquiry rather than empirical analysis which is what political science is built on.

political science is a broad term. Although empirical analysis is possibly a "discipline" or "branch" of it, a major one is Political Theory, which is basically political philosophy, or at least that's what i thought when I took multiple political theory classes.
