There's just something about glowing pet wood✨ This is a fantastic idea! I really really like it a lot. Great job to the two of you for a project well done. It's beautiful. Makers Challenge Cheers! 🥂
Omgosh 😯 what a wonderful, unique idea for serving your family and friends 😀 Omgosh Montana Rock Moms was uniquely inventive too. Too many favorites to choose so far! Hello Katy and Mr did. Sorry I missed several shows. Sometimes the world isn't as fun as rock hunting. I caught up on the back issues and enjoyed them a lot. Thanks so much.
Hi Katy…been watching you for a while now but didn’t know about the Maker’s Challenge. Can’t wait to see all the awesome treasures that all these Rockers come up with. So happy that I saw this video!
Mr. Did is the BEST! ❤ I'm a huge fan! 🤩xoxo You guys did wonderful! We often forget about all the other kinds of stuff we can light up besides just agates! This gets my wheels turning with so many ideas! Thank you thank you! YOU ROCK JIM 😊
What a super cool project! You can gather the family around the toasty lit up logs of petrified wood like ye ole fire! Seriously, what a neat way to display those incredible slabs in such a way that you can use it as well. Very impressive. It was fun seeing you two collaborate, keep the good times rollin and the rocks rockin! Cheers!
Thank you Katy and co... 😮 I will be making this serving tray at home, I found a similar size piece of pet wood in TN on a rockhounding trip. Thank you for this challenge piece. Wild@Art
Wonderful project, beautiful colors. IGOTMYFIRSTSAW🤩🤪🎉 ...it's just a tilesaw. But, so far, it's doin a pretty good job. Your channel, and Brian&Julie at Az RH Adventures, and can't forget Agate Dad, I've learned sooo much from all of you. Thank you, guys, K.
* WOW ~ Perfect tray.. I love those Slabs.. Painting the back of the Plexiglass was Brilliant! I would have squared them off & made a Lamp, but you did better!! Just WOW ! !
That came out fantastic!! Ive always loved the look of petwood when it glows, and that is such a perfect way to show it off! Awesome work from the 'Did team, and thank you so much for being a part of the challenge!😄
It's probably a good idea not to use the drill to mix it because you would end up mixing in a lot of air into the resin. There is a way to get the air out and that is with a propane torch run it Lightly. Over the resin you should see the bobles disappear. Remember keep the torch as far away as possible and keep it moving it doesn't take very long. Just so you know I've never done this before but I've seen it done on line serval times and different people doing it. Good luck and I hope everything works out for you.

Beautifu 👍
Thank you!
Wow! That's beautiful! Great job to both of you!
Thanks so much! :)
That's pretty cool and beautiful. I would put it on an easel and use it as mood lighting.
Definitely an option!
That is beautiful. Would look amazing on the wall ❣️
It really would!
Beautiful! Bet you could also make a great (but heavy) lampshade with those remaining slabs!
That would be cool!
Thanks so much! :)
Nice way to let the rocks shine, also loved your Opal from Australia, video thankyou for sharing.
Thank you!
That’s a cool looking idea 😊
Thanks! I was really happy with how it turned out.
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: That turned out wonderful!!! I'd mount it on the wall where I could enjoy it every day!
Thanks, Kelly.
This is great! You mixed two of my favorite things in the world: rocks (fossil) and resin.
Thanks so much! :) I love it too.

Thanks, Karen. Jim and I work really well together - separately. :D
That turned out really nice. I wasn’t sure it would when I just saw the bottom, but the top is gorgeous.
LOL, right?! But I knew the caulk wouldn't show from the top. Next time, I'll be sure to have a tube of clear silicone that works.
@@KatyDidRocks It doesn't make a bit of difference if no one can see it.
Can’t wait
:)

You might consider strip lights instead of the under counter things - they are a bit heavy.
@@KatyDidRocks thank you!
Jim your hair was on point. Keep killing it my dude.
:'D
That would look super cool just hanging on the wall!
I agree!
Pet wood is one of My favorites ❤ great idea and fantastic execution of your plans. It looks fabulous 🤩

I never do epoxy because of the plastic already in our landfills. Its my opinion of epoxy. But I love you Katy!❤️
Interesting, I never thought of epoxy as plastic.
Beautiful work 👍 now you gotta do a mossy agate one 😊
That would be beautiful too!
Mr Does. If he's like you!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️✝️❤️
Oh, he definitely does. :)
So pretty. You Katy “did” well.
Thanks so much! :)
I wonder if that would hang on the wall like a picture 📸
It would! And it may! :)
Not only a serving tray you can make it a wall hanging
Definitely a possibility.
