Chassis last seen out on FIRE in the street! But she's back out for another go! Though the beautiful body didn't survive the car and its speed is proving to held strong!
It sure has been a challenge! BUT! Be sure not to forget, it was just about 3 years ago I was struggling on 6s to break a 100mph when I first started “really” speedruning also buddy! Keep pushin brother and don’t give up! I told myself I’d never get to 150mph ….I’ve made it to 165 multiple times ! Then just like that about a year ago I told myself I’d never get to 100 on 2s. Thanks brother 👊👍👍
I wished i had someone around my area to help me get my TLR up to par with speed runs. Don’t have any hobby shops around to help steer me in the right direction on how to gear and what to do.
Hobby shops , we’ll around me anyway, won’t help…. They don’t want the liability of the nature of the game. But a safe rule of thumb is gear up 1 tooth at a time and keep very close watch of temperature. Don’t bash with higher gearing also unless you know your temps for the gears your running then maybe you can make two passes but all my runs are one and done usually and that’s also (depending the setup). What’s your goal and system your running in your TLR …. The best way of learning is making passes and when changing gearing you make lots of them😂but that’s the fun part of havin an rc -running it ,making it faster , breaking it , fixing it , then running it again🤣 all while learning. At least for me anyway 😂 and with speed running it’s not ” if “ ya crash, it’s when and how bad.
@@chriskemp6636 well you should definitely be able to hit a hundred on the 1515 on 6s, I’d start with getting a limitless center spool and tightening the f/r diff’s up then start with a 27 T pinion - (stock pinion for limitless) and work your way up to 100mph. Don’t change or gear up until you have consistently run a number. Then change gears and go 28T pinion and so on. I’ve never run the 1515 but I’m sure you shouldn’t have any issue getting to your goal . Take your time and also if ya haven’t check out Raz Shifrins video series “speed run secrets revealed “ lots of helpful hints in there. There are many variables to getting to 100 it’s not all just gears and go, for example batteries, suspension, tires . All of these you tune and make better as you go faster like the more gear the more battery you’ll need “in theory”. But I’d start there buddy and take your time…..besides ain’t nobody else gonna pay for the car if something bad happens like a crash. The more runs you make the better you get to know the car and the better you can adjust what needs adjustment as speeds increase. All while learning! Hope this helps buddy👊👍👍
@@mitchellminer4596 man I truly appreciate every bit of advice you have given me and will definitely start where you told me. I really appreciate all of your help.

It’s stock now with the spektrum system but i have a castle 1515/2200 kv with the mamba monster esc 6s i was going to put into the car.
I would really like to get it to hit atleast around 100 to start with.
