Jozef's abilty to play on top or bottom, sweeping and passing while making it look easy is just insane, I don't think people realise how well rounded he is. Same again in part two, Jozef unreal.
I think that the scope of his interest in grappling martial arts definitely expands beyond No Gi to judo, but his current path is still No Gi. Though it is fun to have him cross train into Gi and judo!
This was after 9 rounds of sparring in No Gi with a group, which I might upload as a video in a while. Then some of us stayed a little later to practice Gi.
The way Jozef grip the Sasaki's front belt at 0:25 mark, I know it's shido in Judo shiai, but in BJJ match, how would you counter this extreme defensive grip? Basically, that front belt grip prevents the hip getting close so it's impossible to attack with uchimata or any other throws that require close body contact.
This was a very “soft and kind” rolling by both. This was also a week or so before Kodokan-hai tournament for Sasaki-san, which is an important tournament for Japanese judokas competing for place on national team.
@@MicJiuJitsu I saw on judohighlights. Wishing Sasaki all the best and hoping he gets back into peak form as he didn't have the best day at the kodokan cup
Thanks for coming to the channel. Yes, it is definitely interesting to see Jozef's tripod passing be applied in a rare Gi situation, and Sasak-san using the belt connection to defend.
Haha! Now that you mention it, the AC sounds definitely like a purring cat. It doesn't sound that bad usually, but my microphone must be picking up some kind of harmonic. Thanks for pointing this out, though, so that I can do something about it!
Sasaki chillin. Could toss anytime he chooses.
Fun roll for him
2:45 sequence of Josef: the Wardzinski like sweep 🔥

Petition for Jozef to go all in for Judo 🥋

That looks like real flow rolling

@@MicJiuJitsu we'd all love to see the nogi rounds as well!
Thanks! If there are enough people wanting this, I might upload it in the future!
I looked at the thumbnail and was like, where's josef chen? Gi and the new hair cut fooled me.

You used to be able to threaten with a standing armlock, but nowadays, the best grip to nullify it is the over the top grip.
more footage of sasaki-san rolling cross training!!!! Seen hashimoto and tsunoda do bjj as well
