    Yeah, mine broke off, still got the plug tho. I was worried about it leaking water, did not know that water drains away. Thankyou for relieving my concern.have played 18 holes of golf in driving rain riding my scoot , got through OK . Bit skiddy taking off, blokes are taking bets on when I will go arse up! On an other note played 33 holes with just half hour plugged in to top up at lunch. Still had 48.5 at end. So all good so far!

    I am planning to buy a scooter very soon. I really like the Widewheel but I am certainly concerned about the resistance of the wheels and tires in general. How strong are they? Will the rim bend easily? How’s been your experience with them., Cheers!!

      its been excellent, but yes, if you mistreat it you will bend the rim edges. This is only cosmetic and simply avoided by not leaning the scooter (which is pointless in reality) but leaning you (as one does on a skateboard)

      Please do not lean into corners with this as you will end up on your ass 100% of the time. not 99%, 100% you will kill yourself if you are going fast enough.

    Hey mate , that rear small grub screw needs to be tightneded up after i replace a new pad in there ?? Any response would be appreciated

      yes, naturally. Of course you must FIRST loosen it to allow movment of the rear caliper, then when adjusted to satisfaction retighten. I recommend a tiny drop of blue thread locker on it. Tight but not "strip the threads torqueing it down like Thor"

    Men how can I change the front brake pads on it?

    • @finophile
      @finophile  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      same way as for the rear ... did you actually watch the video?

      The front pads are completely different because you can’t just pull the brake calliper on and off because there’s not enough clearance. I am struggling with this at the moment and am thinking I will have to remove r the wheel to do it.

    For anyone looking to get one of these, please consider that cornering on this is extremely dangerous, You can NOT lean while turning. The wide wheels WILL slip out from under you. You need to slow down and turn normally, NO NOT take corners faster then 6MPH or you will land on your ass or worse. I have been riding mine for 2.5 years and it is still super sketch to ride.

    • @finophile
      @finophile  ปีที่แล้ว

      Except that this is wrong and simply means that you cant ride. I recommend this
      cjeastwd.blogspot.com/2020/01/leaning-off-it.html
      And this video
      th-cam.com/video/xqJ_ddGF0yU/w-d-xo.html
      or indeed any of dozens of videos showing me cornering the wheels off this thing.

      @@finophile EXCEPT when he even states only to lean a little, I have been riding for years and only had one incident the second day I had it due to the horrible turning radius unlike a normal scooter like a segway where you can actually lean. But sure keep leading people down the path of road rash lol. Turning on this is a learning experience.

      @@finophile Also in the video he is not taking corners, as I said "cornering" I guess that means you can't read?
