  • Have you considered ordering an inflatable standup paddle board, and wonder what you'll be getting? In this video I unbox my new Isle Explorer iSUP to give you an idea of what's in the box!
This isn't a review of the Isle Explorer, but I give some specific impressions on this particular board. I suspect that most iSUPs in this price range will be pretty similar in terms of what you will receive when you order one.
    Thanks for watching!

Hi. Earlier this year I decided to make a canopy for my narrowboat. I found some of your videos very helpful as I had never used a sewing machine before and it was a steep learning curve. Then I had my first go on a paddle board a couple of weeks ago and want to buy one so this was interesting. I also have a cat who dislikes me paying too much attention to anything not related to her so likes to sit on me when I am sewing. Thanks for sharing.

The moment I saw it was a coffee container I thought “someone lost their bail” 😄
Where I live it’s almost a tradition to have a plastic coffee bail bucket in the canoe.

Good observation! I only SUP and sit-on-top kayak, so bailing is alien to me lol.

Jason, thanks for your advice about SUP's! (previous to this video, actually) I bought one for my wife and she loves it! We take it on all of our non-motorcycle adventures. Unfortunately, our SUP season is much shorter than yours! 😁😁
BTW: The 12v pump is a MUST HAVE for me. My heart thanks me!! LOL

Thanks Dokk! We just took our two inflatables to Key Largo, and I think I'm ready for a power pump, myself!

Any updates to the review now that’s it’s 8 months later?

Hi! I don't have any significant update, the board is still as good as ever. I don't use this particular one that often, though. I generally paddle my rigid board (also an Isle) unless I need the compactness of an inflatable. But in general, I'm still very happy with this one!

Thanks for the video. I just ordered 2 Isle pioneers for my two boys and 1 Outpost rigid board for me. I'm looking forward to testing them and comparing them. Wondering if it's possible to inflate the boards using a leaf blower or battery powered pump.

Hi, Davey, no no no! don’t use a leaf blower! It probably won’t work and it could void any warranty. You can get an 12v pump (I don’t like them, noisy and takes about the same amount of time as a manual) or just enjoy the workout! Happy Paddling!

What board is it and how long is it

You mentioned the board has to be dried up before rolling it up and putting it in the bag...
Would you advise using sand to dry up any water that's on the board to speed up the drying process? For example paddle to a nearby beach and use the sand there instead of towel drying or waiting for the sun to dry it up.
Don't currently own one (it's still winter in Canada), but looking into it.

      Hi!
I would NOT recommend using sand to remove water from the board. I think you'd just end up with a wet, sandy board, and the sand is probably potentially more damaging.
I think the idea is that the board should be dry before storing it long term in the bag. If you need to roll it up and put it in the bag to get home, that should be fine, but you don't want to put it in damp and leave it for weeks or months.
I honestly don't know what the long-term harm might be, and I would suggest consulting the manufacturer of whatever board you end up with. For me, I usually deflate mine after paddling, either toss it in my truck or roll it up and put it in the bag until I get home, then lay it out in my garage until it's dry enough to store in the bag (I usually just leave it for a day or two, or until it gets in my way).
I hope that helps! Thanks for watching!

You're not real good about communicating the details. Like how have a stuff at the end of your video that you were talking about it? You know, you're not really giving us any information I like information.

    • @thejasonwins3765

You're pretty terrible at using TH-cam comments. In general it's best to actually watch the video before asking asinine questions that are already answered in the video. If there is some information you wanted to know that I didn't provide, it would be really helpful if you would say what information that is, rather than "you're not giving any information."
I have NO idea what "Like how have a stuff at the end of your video that you were talking about it?" is supposed to mean.
This video has plenty of information to supplement the information one could easily find on the company's website if one has sufficient intelligence to use the internet. I think maybe you should find another channel to watch, it doesn't appear that mine is for you.
