      Hi. The sensor we have used as an example in this video is the fuel rail pressure sensor, however there are many sensors in a vehicle that can cause a P0606 to occur. If it is a sensor causing the code, then you should have a secondary fault code specific to that sensor, so if you only have a P0606 then it is unlikely that the fault lies with any sensors.

    Hi !!!!! An ECU that I purchased preprogrammed had that same fault code that you explained and all the info that I researched on it, said that it is an internal fault; the engine light stayed on permanently, but the engine started and ran and I even drove it around without any problems. I returned it and it is now repaired. I would still like to get my other ECU repaired some time to hold as a spare.

My problem is that when they put the reader it won’t connect and won’t get any reading back. It’s not the batteries already checked that. I need my inspection sticker but can’t because of this.

    Hi, I have a 2013 ford focus. It’s coming up with a po606 code. I’ve had a new battery put and driving fine for about 3 miles then the transmission fault came up again. When driving it the revs go up to 3000 and struggle,s to get up to the next gear. When I had the battery changed it was working fine. It’s a 1.6 auto, if it does need a new ECU how much will it cost to fix?

    For a toyota you dont have to send in the new or used ecu for a full rebood or flash. Hotwire the pin #4 and #13 of obd2 and let it sit with ignition switch on position and let it figure everything out for about 30 minutes. Remove the pin used to hotwire the obd2 and go ahead start the car and hope for the best.

    You missed an important one: spark plugs. I found this out on another forum. It turns out the OEM spark plugs I thought were genuine turned out to be fakes. In just several months, my car lost power, went into limp mode, and threw this CEL code. It took me awhile to figure it out, but I bought genuine OEM plugs in the store, and my care is back to being good. I've also read that Honda's do not like non OEM plugs. Stick with OEM, and make sure they're genuine.

    What would be considered bad resistance while testing the fuse?

    • @Ecutestinglimited
      @Ecutestinglimited  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A standard automotive fuse should have a resistance as close to 0 ohms as possible, and no more than 1 ohms. If the multimeter reads O.L then the fuse is blown. Hope this helps.

    I'll try this question here, haven't found an answer yet. I permanently connected my dashcam to the battery for continuous recording. I am no electrics/electronics beginner. With the camera screen turned off, the current drawn in total from the 60 Ah battery is very low, tens of milliamps, maybe less, I can't remember exactly, but I did the math. By my calculations, this means the battery should last at least 2 weeks like this, if not more. I understand that you can't go to 0% charge, as you still need a lot of juice to be left for the engine to start, but I don't understand having the battery die after 2 days with such a low load.
    If I leave my car parked for more than a day, dead battery, around 10.something V. I can barely start the engine, sometimes I need to push the car to get it going. Battery voltage is perfect, stays at about 12.9 after a longer drive, starts the engine in a fraction of a second, no issues whatsoever without the dashcam plugged in when parked. Plug in the dashcam, the battery dies like crazy.
    Something doesn't add up there for me... and I can't yet understand why this happens. Again, without the dashcam, the battery is just fine. Maybe it shows some lack of charge after a full week of only 5 minute drives, but nothing worse than that, and voltage stays over 12.6 at all times. Without the dashcam connected when parked...

    • @Ecutestinglimited
      @Ecutestinglimited  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. The sensor we are testing in this video is a fuel rail pressure sensor. However, if it is a faulty sensor causing the problem, then you should be getting a P0606 fault code alongside a secondary fault code for a particular sensor. If you are only getting a P0606 code without a secondary code, then it is unlikely the fault is being caused by a sensor. Hope this helps.

Any ideas where to start, I checked most of the wires to the ECM but I dnt want to strip all the looms to look for shorts. The P0606 fault code means that there's an error with your power control module (PCM). Your PCM is the computer inside your car that monitors all the vital systems. Basically, it's the brain of your car. Every time you start the car, the PCM runs a series of checks to make sure everything is okay.
