This is what's great about electric. If you wanted this kind of power you would need a bike twice the size but with electric you can have lots of power in a smaller form factor. Personally I prefer a smaller bike so I hope to get one of these in the future.

Just bought my kit now!!!! I’m super pumped to get it this summer. I’ve had the bike for a few years for my son and he’s now 13 and look for more speed. Great videos keep up the great work!
You have to buy new. You need a 48 Volt or higher lithium ion battery for the motor work. I would recommend buying a 72 or 76 volt battery because it’s only a few hundred dollars more and you get a lot more power. Hoped it helped.
I just bought a sx500 and bought all parts I needed from Amazon and eBay to upgrade. I upgraded the motor to a 48v, the battery, controller, throttle, put a 3 speed on, and handle bars as well as some other things and it’s totally different. It hauls ass now. Almost threw me off on accident the first time letting on the throttle and it was only on 1 speed😂
For just the main components: battery, motor, controller, throttle will run you about $369 w/o tax. The motor came as a package with the controller, throttle, and a 3 speed as well. However I swapped the throttle that it came with out for one that reads the current voltage output. It also has as a key to lock the throttle so it cannot be engaged without the key being in and turned. (Won’t get stolen). Make sure to buy the right battery and motor as these are probably the most essential parts to the bike.

When installing electrical some wires will need to be spliced or pigtailed together. When using new motor you’ll need to take off the sprocket on it (reverse threaded, pain to take off) and put on the sprocket from the sx500.
