Maybe holding a watch . I seen vintage watches, usually with an upside down dial, that could be warn like a brooch. I think nurses used to wear them a lot. Just a guess though.

I think the little metal part at the beginning of the video is used to hold a sampler. A long piece of ribbon like embroidery that is hanging on the wall. Some are small, and others are a bit wide.
My mom has several of them, and they all hang with that type of metal. Most of them are made from silver or silver plated.

I played Tiddily Winks as a child. They were plastic of course in the '60's. About 55-60 years ago for this old lady. I was trying to teach my grandpeeps the game a couple of months ago. I think they need another year or two under their belts to grasp the concept a bit better though. Your videos are still a favorite of mine❣

The triangular metal piece with the hole in is probably a nut from the back of a drawer handle. They were often made from random shapes rather than a modern hexagon or square.

"The MARY brooch...we don't know what it's made of...but you may because you will have seen the ending, but we haven't washed it yet..." Just look at all the ellipses use in your ending remarks! It's easier for me to "hear" ellipses in conversations than other punctuation: comma's, semi-colons, etc. Former English teacher here, bet you can't tell!!! I enjoy your videos whatever print items or buttons or brooches you find.

I played tiddlywinks with my daughters when they were little. I found a modern version at a dollar store with a variety of old school games. We always had some much fun laughing at wayward disks flying all around and a good amount of competition 😊 lovely memories ❤ we really enjoyed playing old fashioned games I was gifted the game board my great grandfather made. It is a card table sized “trouble “ or “aggravation “ game (that’s the modern name) they called it “Wahoo” because when you won you yelled “Wahoo!” I love playing games ❤

Thanks for a wonderful treasure hunt, as always, love the MARY broach and the beautiful buttons. My grandmother had a Tiddledy Wink game in the basement along with stacks of board games going back to the 40's or 50's. I do not remember what kind of material they were made from, but I don't think it was bone.

Hi Gail and Alex, I love your videos and I really enjoy watching your adventures and your amazing finds. I love how you get excited and treasure these interesting little things that most people would step over and not notice their beauty. Thank you for taking me along with you. I don’t get out very much at all anymore because of mobility issues. I used to love walking on the beach and I have a few pieces of sea glass. I love your sea glass finds, they are so beautiful and I have to admit I would love to go with you and find a few more coloured pieces for my little collection. Anyway have a wonderful day and here’s to uncovering many more treasures. Take care my friends and have fun. Much love to you both and heaps of hugs from Australia.

I left a comment on your old video where you found the pin with the piece you are saying is a tooth, and mentioned it seems it should actually be a crescent moon cracked in half, as I have one from a box of family items. If you took the piece you found in this video and slipped it into the other end of the pin you found, where there is a matching metal wrap to hold it, even though they aren't from the same pin, you should see it would come together to hold the 2 ends to create a crescent moon. At least, that is what it looked to be from when you found the initial pin.

I had a Donald Duck Tiddlywinks bought for me in the late 60's. It was by Sands games I think, and had different coloured plastic Tiddlywinks and a little metal cup. The only thing 'Donald Duck' about it, was there was a picture of him on top of the box! This was in Australia, probably a birthday or Christmas pressie.
