i just came back from the post office with my new grease gun... i'm 'janey' homeowner, live alone in the middle of nowhere and do all m own maintenance, but the problem i have is little hands. i just don't have the strength to use a grease gun with one hand, even the little one, especially when the weather is cold and the grease is thicker. it's not a cheap item, but what pushed me to finally buy it was trying to grease ball joints and such... some nitwit at Ford decided to save 17 cents and not put zerks on grease point, so i need a needle to go through the boot...and you need one hand to hold the needle in place, the needle opening is tiny and the grease is thick - just couldn't do it.... for my purposes, i'm hoping it will last a long time, since it's not in constant use. but great review - watched another where the guy tried to put the grease tube in the wrong way, rather than unscrewing the tube from the machine... apparently didn't RTFM.

I put a lock n lube trigger tip on mine for easy install and uninstall on the grease zerks

Has anyone tried to change the tip on these Grease Guns? Dewalt told me you can not remove the tip that's on them. I want to replace the tip with one of those new level action tips.

I wish I had this when my old job wanted me to grease the truck *once a week. (*did not happen due to laying in gravel/salty snow in -20°c. More like once a month.) Worked another job where trucks got greased at 20,000km or more and steering/brake components never wore out

Dewalt sent me a replacement motor without a hassle.Twenty minutes to replace motor and it been flawless since. Many thanks to dewalt. Will be adding more cordless 20v tools to my collection. My Makita buddy likes the dewalt stuff more and more every time he uses mine.

Technically you're not ever supposed to push the rod inside of the grease gun that's what gets grease all over your rod and all over everything else and you will never know how much grease you have left in your tube unless you leave your Rod out and let it work itself in as you're greasing

Its definitely more for a mechanic or a i industrial environment. I cant imagine dragging that thing around on a roof doing a PM. Way to big. Best for a mechanic market.
