    Awesome RC and speed runs, great info on the batteries, when i do speed runs i turn down my steering rates a lot,it helps it stay straighter, just have to make bigger turns to bring it back.

      have over 15 videos on this truck with lots of LIPO speed runs - got it up to 60 mph on the stock motor running the 2 stock 2s LIPOs in series and over 60 mph on 3s with an aftermarket motor. It then hit 65 mph on 4s before it ceased up lol!

      @@BriansRCStuff Wow, pretty impressive for a 'budget basher' 👍 I got the Bonzai Phantom Racer up to 64mph on a similar setup, but that's more of a drift truck. Fun stuff!🤜🤛

      It looks like you should be able to fit a 1,500 to 2,200 mAh 2s LIPO. I don't normally recommend Ovonic as they are not strong performers but mine always have had their claimed capacity and this one is pretty beefy. You want the biggest and heaviest LIPO you can find that will fit (heavier typically perform better everything else being equal).

    Blazing speed runs Brian. True what your saying regarding different voltage out put on these batteries. The size of this battery compartment just like 2995 and 2996, It’s really my only complaint of this truck . I’ve done what you have and pirched them right on that center brace with a Velcro strap. Seems to work pretty good. Awesome video on this beast. I can’t wait to run it tomorrow!👍🏻👊🏼😎

      Yeah, I am with you. I guess if their target audience is folks that just want a fun 2s truck that is durable and quick.... they nailed it. Folks like us that are trying to get max performance.... we really want that bigger LIPO tray that can hold say a 3,000 mAh LIPO.
      I am genuinely looking forward to your video!

      @@BriansRCStuff thanks dude! Will be uploaded tonight, going out today, to get my first drive in . Hoping it doesn’t break as the temps are going to be in the high 20’s maybe 30 degrees. Running under freezing always affects performance and puts plastics in jeopardy of breaking😝! Hopefully nothing breaks.

    I need that liperair 2200 for our speed run car. The ovonic actually surprised me. The Urgenex don’t dip but I guess they’re definitely not the most powerful battery

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would go with something bigger if you can fit it. The difference between the 850 and the 2,200 is a lot. The same thing would hold true between the 2,200 and a 6,000. At the end of the day, for speed runs you always want the biggest and best performing LIPO you can fit in the car. A poor performing 5,200 mAh will out perform a strong performing 2,200 (I have a video where I did just that when the Bandit using the LiperiAir 2,200 and an Ovonic 3s 5,200). But a LiperAIr 6,000 wipes the floor with the Ovonic 5,200.

  • @IowaBudgetRCBashers
    @IowaBudgetRCBashers 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I love Urgenex batteries but that 850 liperair is crazy powerful

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, that thing is no joke! The Urgenex are not "bad" IMO, they are on par with a OEM LIPO. The bottom line is they fit in the car and provide good power and run times. I don't like the fact that it is called a 2,200 mAh when it is really an 1,800 mAh. I was wondering why they were so light and smaller than everyone else 3s 2,200 mAh.
      At the end of the day they are my go to LIPO in this car right now. They fit and while not as fast as that LiperiAir 850, after a couple of runs it would be as the 850 just doesn't have enough capacity for this truck/would start to fade simply because it is so small.

      Not very well for me. I am still trying to figure out if that is because the punch is turned down on the ESC from the factory or that it is is traction limited.

      Maybe if enough of us complain they will do something about it next time around. MJX allows for a bigger LIPO..... they just need to redesign the chassis it seems.

    Hi Brian
    Just got this truck and it’s impressive one major issue.
    Question about alignment and steering trim- struggling to get this car to drive on straight line. I tried tweaking the steering trim but every time I adjust it over corrects in the opposite direction

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I chalked it up to being a basher that isn’t very precise. I find once I get it up to speed it isn’t bad but a bit of a balancing act when accelerating. Idk, don’t find it to be a big issue with mine but a bit annoying. Even my Big Rock is a challenge on road and I can’t get it much past 40 mph even though the power system could make it go faster.
      My 16899a is twitchy as well but once I get it up to speed it also does okay.
      Off road it isn’t really an issue.

      @@BriansRCStuff yeah car has so much potential and speed is terrific on 2s. Just bummer about steering. Have you tried upgrading with a good servo? I feel like car is very heavy and would benefit from a great servo.

    Isn't it possible to move that ESC on top of the servo?

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I was looking to do that and it might work but the big problem is the irregular shape of the battery tray. It pinches in and just isn’t big enough in width where the ESC is located to fit a bigger LIPO.
      The whole chassis needs a redesign.
