Yes, that' what I expected for both the trucks. I have a Volcano16 brushed and it's almost exactly what your brushed version does, and I have a Gool 16889a Brushless and it's about the same as yours. These little 16th scales are pretty neat. They'll take a beating as well. I'm upgrading the Volcano16 to all metal as we speak. I've already upgraded the shocks and have the metal axles and diff kits. And I have the metal pinion and will replace them when they blow. Nice little trucks you have there.

This HBX 16889 and HBX 16890 been running this on 3s running stock components only thing I did put heatsink on motors to prevent the heat and have run full throttle going up and down motor don’t get to hot at all just normal and the receiver less then warm this cars take 3s like champs, love them little 1/16 rc cars play with them at work on lunch break guys from work go damm that goes super fast, they scream fast down the streets good video 👍🏻

I was kind of sad I missed the oportunity to get the brushless version, but I'm glad to see it can gain some speed with a 3S battery. How hot is it OK to run it? Mine gets hot(ish) while bashing, but the top fan hole on the motor is covered with the heat sink. It's quite useful to keep dirt out of the motor, though.

Hi, what's the colour of your esc on the brushless? As mine has a red one, and it doesn't like 3s.. goes into reverse for a second under acceleration, stripped a gear, and don't make metal ones of the gear I broke lol. Need a better esc

I shoot on the Sony A7iv and was worried about dropping down to 1080p to get high frame rates but after seeing this I think I will be using it more often. The shots look super clean! Hi, i tried plugging a 3s onto my 16889 brushed and the car is not able to bind to the controller. Seems esc on mine cant handle 3s voltage. LED light just kept on blinking

unfortunately the one i bought from Amazon did not come with oil filled shocks in either model. if you are good at soldering something like this would work. 850mah is probably the max that will fit snug for 3S amzn.to/3f4Jivp

I’ve had the brushless now for about two months everytime I’ll take it out motor comes loose repositioned ,Lock tight , same thing every run... anyone else had this problem? Forgot to mention I am running 3S batteries
413RC I’m going to make a bracket that holds the back part of the motor as it is just floating in the air I’ll let you know how I go... hopefully it will sort out this little issue apart from that this is an awesome little truck👍

@@413RC due to the motor mount is not adjustable, so we need too many pinion and spur set to try until the gearing is fix. Otherwise can try increase tires diameter to gain top speed.

Hey there! Run 3S Lipo on either truck AT YOUR OWN RISK. Check motor temps after rough driving as it will get very hot. Something like this will work you will just need to change the connector to either fit where the lights go or solder it to a power lead amzn.to/2JeGX5D

Might be difficult because the motor mount isn't adjustable. I would say just run a 3S battery in it. its plenty fast
