Love the cat, my sweet cat Kato love laying in the kiddy pool and eating salads with his meal. Sadly I lost him in 2018 but my wall is surrounded with beautiful pictures of him.
Animals tend to stay quiet when they sense predators in the area, it's why you should be on edge if you don't hear any sounds of life out in the woods.
That's just how kids are they literally have zero sense of survival instincts they have to learn them the hard way; by experience also Frodo is a therapy service cat meaning that he was trained to be quiet and relaxed in any situation so he can calm his owner that’s why he was a good companion and reason why he lived unlike any other regular cat.
Technically the kid did not grow up in that world since the moment of his death was barely a year after the whole invasion started if im not wrong. Humans were still getting used to surviving and finding refuge
not all cats are the same. some absolutely love water, others hate it. as far as wild felines are concerned, tigers, jaguars and fishing cars are more than at home in the water. Others avoid it like the plague.
@@FantasticFawnleap Dude, even among domestic felines some love water. in fact they are totally at home in it and love swimming too. others absolutely hate it and go ballistic if forced. its not a one size fits all and yes, it doesn't like a tiger, Jaguar or fishing cat to me but that's besides the point
Honestly the cat would've survived with or without the help of the humans. Cats are surprisingly smart and would've figured out instantly that making noise is _not_ a good idea around the monsters. What also helps is that cats aren't particularly talkative to begin with (most of the time anyways).
both because they are well trained and very calm, and also because theres actually 2 cats in the movie that are actors, they are identical twins so they could swap them out when it was needed
The one thing I wandered was if she had given up on living and just wanted this guy to make it why couldn’t she just scream and get the monsters attention at the end then?
She still had things she had to take care of before she died, she needed to get home one last time, she gave him and her cat the best chance she could while still living just long enough to finish her business.
(3:54) Sam: "Eric, you better take care of my cat. Don't rub his belly, He doesn't like that. And don't feed him too much, he'll get fat. And thank you, thank you for bringing me home, Thank you for helping me live again, I have forgotten how the city sings, you can hear it when you're quiet." (4:44) "it's good to have been back."
It was so adorable to see Eric taking care and trying to make Sam happy as she nears her death. The chemistry between the two was great. Overall the movie was great as it had me at the edge of my seat the whole time and kept saying, ‘please don’t make a sound, please’ don’t make a sound’. Those creatures are hella scary!
I spoke and reacted in theaters in the beginning, but through the movie, or since the alien creatures arrive, I survived!! Not a single sound of my own voice 😅😅 Love this movie!!! Great movie!!!
All the "Quiet Place" movies are awesome and keep us on the edge of our seats in each of the movies. Thanks for seeing the climax scene again at end of this movie. Take care.
If I’m gonna be honest, The animal survived That makes this watchable. When an animal dies I just can’t 😭 it’s because we have all experienced animal death more than human death so we are more familiar with the pain.
There's something unsettling seeing the Death Angels sprint/crawl across the dirty beach like that at 1:00-1:06. They look like giant spiders. Anyway, I have a question for cat owners: is it possible for a cat to be *that* calm? Frodo the cat got stuck in a Death Angel nest for a bit, and got drenched a few times when cats typically hate water, and yet he barely reacted the whole time. Can cats be like that if well trained, or is this just another case of plot armor and "suspend your disbelief and just be happy the cat survived"?
@@StormCalamityStudios I honestly doubt a cat, or any creature, could be this calm in reality. That said, this is established from the beginning of the work and remains consistent throughout. So I simply accept it as one of the fantastic premises of the film, just as I accept the existence of aliens.
Cats are quiet creatures. I can never find any of my cats in my house because of how quiet they are. They don't make any sound when they're walking and will only meow if they want something. There are cats that just don't meow at all so it's possible for it to survive the monsters. It's rare but they exist.
i believe the cat was a service animal for the main character, so that could be why he’s so calm, but animal instincts are also crazy when it comes to disasters. they know how survive.
I watched this film a few weeks after I had to say goodbye to my beloved cat who, just like Frodo, loved to be cherished and cuddled… though she would never be so ok with being carried while running from monsters (or being near water to be honest)… Now that she’s gone to sleep I think I’ll always cry watching this film 😞😢❤️❤️❤️
Iirc their home planet had harsh gravity like krypton, thats why their skin is like armor that can survive a planet explosion of their homeworld and ofc makes them move so fast since earth's gravity is different

Even if they didn't save the cat, it would survive the aliens because cats are apex predators and this particular cat doesn't make a sound.
Cats are really not that talkative, they meow for food but normally show love through body language. Dogs are fucked that for sure.
the alien's biggest fear is giant owls

Cats will surely rule over the world if the aliens don't find more bodies to grow their food. Like in "Planet of the apes" but with cats.
This is proof that ones love for a cat can be as much as their own life❤
I only watched this clip because I love cats. It's amazing how far someone would go to save a pet.
The cats that played Frodo need an Oscar dang it! 😆 Best supporting animal role in a film.
Hopefully, one or both of them will be at the next Oscars, similar to the last two ceremonies that featured the donkey from The Banshees Of Inisherin and the dog from Anatomy Of A Fall.
I remember during the marketing of this film that everyone was begging for the cat to survive this film! Guessing their bitching payed off😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Cats will clinge to the most stable object when submerged like that. See how she clings to him. She is scared and recognizes him as her best option for survival opposed to swimming
In the theater I missed the part where the Death Angel lands behind her at the end. I didn’t even realize she unplugged the Radio. That just made me sad, I knew she was going to die eventually but I thought she would go at more peacefully.

Such a good quiet kitty that doesnt actually scream or fuss around the actors. Definitely want to see some BTS footage of this good kitty !
I just realized why I love this franchise so much. It’s because it’s not cynical. It’s about the goodness of people. We can always have more of these movies in the world.
With how sad this movie was. I was pleasantly surprised that the cats survived.

That ODST death angel spawned at the end was funny but over all this movie is definitely a thumbs 👍 they did a great job of this movie 🍿

3:54 this scene is pretty funny but why does it have to be in a sad movie 😭
We left the theater when this movie played because it was really late (we were in a drive in theater) and I was hoping the cat survived. Glad to see he did
Love the cat, my sweet cat Kato love laying in the kiddy pool and eating salads with his meal. Sadly I lost him in 2018 but my wall is surrounded with beautiful pictures of him.
🙏❤️🙏
Let us remember that a cat has more sense than a 4 year old did in the original movie and that kid grew up in that world.
Animals tend to stay quiet when they sense predators in the area, it's why you should be on edge if you don't hear any sounds of life out in the woods.
Cats are anything but stupid.
Toddlers have zero survival instincts and actively try and end themselves. Just ask any parent. 😅
Bro that cat actually was underwater like they
The hardest part to believe?
How calm and dry the cat was.
The director acts like we ve never seem a cat
not all cats are the same. some absolutely love water, others hate it. as far as wild felines are concerned, tigers, jaguars and fishing cars are more than at home in the water. Others avoid it like the plague.
@@z1az285dude does that look like a tiger to you no!
And they also sneaky creature
“It’s the apocalypse, what are you saving?”
Eddie:
My cats will only meow when they want affection and they feel safe and happy. They definitely would not be meowing or making any noise here.
How is the cat so chill when filming this??😂
because the monsters aren’t real 💀
The cat knew it had plot armor and is next to the cameraman, it had no reason to fear
both because they are well trained and very calm, and also because theres actually 2 cats in the movie that are actors, they are identical twins so they could swap them out when it was needed

The one thing I wandered was if she had given up on living and just wanted this guy to make it why couldn’t she just scream and get the monsters attention at the end then?
She needed to make sure that Eric and Frodo made it out alive. She can rest now knowing they're ok
Why would she scream once when she can hit like 10+ cars and turn on their alarms
@@than.imeiii Exactly so why do they all care about a little can kick instead of the car alarms?
@@defireleafBecause at 0:50 the Death Angel destroys the car just before Eric accidently kicks the can.
She still had things she had to take care of before she died, she needed to get home one last time, she gave him and her cat the best chance she could while still living just long enough to finish her business.
The way the cat looked so happy to be dry and with its owner😭🥺❤️

All the "Quiet Place" movies are awesome and keep us on the edge of our seats in each of the movies. Thanks for seeing the climax scene again at end of this movie. Take care.
If I’m gonna be honest,
The animal survived
That makes this watchable.
When an animal dies I just can’t 😭 it’s because we have all experienced animal death more than human death so we are more familiar with the pain.
Chadwick Boseman @ 3:07
There's something unsettling seeing the Death Angels sprint/crawl across the dirty beach like that at 1:00-1:06. They look like giant spiders.
Anyway, I have a question for cat owners: is it possible for a cat to be *that* calm? Frodo the cat got stuck in a Death Angel nest for a bit, and got drenched a few times when cats typically hate water, and yet he barely reacted the whole time. Can cats be like that if well trained, or is this just another case of plot armor and "suspend your disbelief and just be happy the cat survived"?
I mean Frodo was prolly trained, apparently he was a service cat for her.
During big earthquake in japan, theres a vid of cats getting quiet and very conscious before shaking began.

I watched this film a few weeks after I had to say goodbye to my beloved cat who, just like Frodo, loved to be cherished and cuddled… though she would never be so ok with being carried while running from monsters (or being near water to be honest)…
Now that she’s gone to sleep I think I’ll always cry watching this film 😞😢❤️❤️❤️
0:23 those monsters are so fast, jesus.
Of course they're fast. They use their arms to run faster
Iirc their home planet had harsh gravity like krypton, thats why their skin is like armor that can survive a planet explosion of their homeworld and ofc makes them move so fast since earth's gravity is different
