If there's one thing I learned from owning cats it's that they're extremely difficult to train. They can do little tricks here and there but they'll just stop if they're distracted or they don't feel like it anymore. The team did an amazing job training these cats 👏🥹
Depends on the cat. Cats can be far more engaged than even we as experienced cat parents give them credit. You only need to watch any of the plethora of videos online. Cats are very intelligent, strong hunter/prey instincts, can be highly food motivated, curious by nature, and trainers have tons of tricks up their sleeves. 😅
it depends on the personality, genetics, and age of the cat. cats are only slightly more difficult than dogs to train because we arent accustomed to considering we should be training our animals for their own enrichment and benefit, and less people spend time offering resources on cat training outside of litterboxes, etc. cats however are the same with dogs of distractions! you need to train how to refocus/ignore distractions, it's not a natural skill!
@@cami0076 It’s not better than the first two films, imo. It’s worth at least one watch though. It’s more focused on Lupita’s character’s relationship than how everything started

As quiet as my cat is, especially when he’s being careful, afraid of something or being sneaky, he would definitely survive in A Quiet Place. He’s a feral rescue and survived 4 years solo on his own. Now he lives indoors (5 years now) and rules the house. ♥️
@@Way2go926 A good way to tell if you should worry before even seeing the movie is what the movie is rated and whether the cat features prominently in the promotional material. Frodo is all over the trailers and the movie is PG-13, I'd have been floored if he had met an unhappy end. If the movie is rated R, I've seen all the trailers/teasers, and when I watch it I'm suddenly met with a nameless, humanless cat that the camera lingers on, that cat may as well be a Star Trek red shirt. Hit stop/leave the theater when that happens.
Some advice/protip from a cat guy and horror fan, for people that struggled to enjoy the movie for fear/anxiety of something happening to Frodo... here's how you can tell whether you actually need to be nervous without spoiling anything for yourself (this hasn't failed me yet): - R-rated movie with no cat in the trailers/teasers; nameless/humanless cat suddenly appears and is blatantly focused on by the camera with no other establishment - _hit stop/leave the theater, ASAP!_ - PG-13 movie; cat prominently featured in all promotional material, clearly belonging to a human protagonist - _that cat is gonna be FINE and will probably outlive most of the human co-stars without so much as a cut or bruise._
I have 2 cats. My orange one would cause both of us to die. He makes his presence known with a meow, and I would never be able to hide since he would reveal my location. The second one is black, and is so laid back. He accidentally got himself closed in the bathroom for about 2 hours. Icalled out for him and he didn't utter one sound. Once I finally found him, he was asleep in the tub. My only trouble is tripping over him at night because I can't see him. He would survive.
I love how in so many of these shots/behind the scene shots you can see the cats' tails just straight as an arrow up in the air. These babies are having fun and are so interested in what is going on lol
i hope niko and schnitz got paid as much as the hooman actors as they were really one of the important character. i mean, if you ask me, they were the protagonist. heehee.
Verdad??
Awww the cats did so well! Frodo is my favorite character in this movie.. I love it when animals are included in the main plot of movies coz I would also make sure my pets are with me if ever there's an apocalypse
Sadly for anyone who is a cat owner, this is super unrealistic. My cats meow, trill, howl etc. incessantly all the time to communicate every little thing. We'd all be dead within minutes if this happened.
This movie was amazing. My girls love horror. Monster chasing movies. They stood still for the whole movie. We have two cats so. They couldn't believe they have. A cat in this kind of movie. Ours would be dead in minutes. They never listen. 😢😢
When a cat is in need of help, you have no idea how well they listen. They're just cocky. But when it comes to the crunch, you'll be surprised. When a cat trusts you, you can count on them.
Cats are my whole life 🖤 i have a black cat who was a stray and i adopted him and ive been able to teach him a few tricks :)) we now have such a close bond :D
What I loved was that they chose a cat to be the animal in the movie, and didn't kill him off at some point, like so many movies tend to do, especially with cats. I can't say how many, especially horror movies, I've seen where a cat is only in it to be killed by a psychopath or a monster, this was the first one where the cats is a focus of the movie, but doesn't get killed off, he wasn't just another prop, like in most horror or crime type movies. Usually when a movie has a character with a pet it's a dog mainly, and they hardly ever kill the dogs, because they aren't usually put in the movie as some prop to use to further the story along or something, like with cats. Well except for the first John Wick movie of course, which that scene was horrible, but I've seen movies where cats were gutted or cooked in a microwave, so the what happened to the dog wasn't as bad as most of the movies with cats being killed. Those two cats proved that cats can be great little furry actors too, and obviously can be trained to do things, just like a dog or most animals, just need good trainers. Funny that this movie was shot in the UK, when I thought it was in New York, lol! This is actually my favorite of the 3 movies, though I spent a lot of it in tears, especially with Lupita Nyong'o, though Joseph Quinn's character had me tearing up too.
