@@wesleycanada3675 There can be many explaination why they don’t attack each others. Like insects that use pheromones. But detecting sickness is a different category. We all are carriers of viruses and bacteria, and we all have some Form of non deadly Tumor in us. They need to see them all in our bodies and know which one is deadly.

It’s not really “winning” they are just invisible to the infected.
“Winning” would be somehow curing the infected, but yeah it is a more hopeful ending than most zombie movies.

@@samuelfawell9159either finding a cure, or purging all infected. Either way gets the same results.
In this case, the infection kills the host and as it takes over the brain, resuscitates the body after roughly 10 seconds from initial infection, so the infection is irreversible, hence the purge option being the only one left.
Context: *Those zombies didn't attacked sick people.*
Not just "sick people", it only goes after able bodied, healthy people as it's instinctive desire to propogate will cause the infected to ignore those deemed "non-viable hosts".
A blind person, a person with missing legs, both were also ignored by the infected.

Wasn't a drug, he literally gave himself a disease and that is what makes them stop attacking you, if you have something that they consider to make you too sick of a host
He discovered that they dont attack if you are terminally ill, it has to do with the fact that a virus needs a healthy host for it to live so it doesnt even try to jump on the bodies it detects are not. The metal crate he carries has viruses inside that they will make vaccines out of. Vaccine they made in the end was essentially a collection of viruses that make you look terminally ill to them to sort of mask u, but doesnt kill u.
He gave himself a number of goofy ahh diseases (curable ofc) to fool the zombies

It's sad to think those who fought for weeks to stay alive die from explosion attacks because they were sick already. This movie is probably the best zombie movie by far, especially for its time.

@@boejiden5933 There were bomb scenes of people nuking and sending missiles to kill the zombies. Those who weren't bitten died because they blended in with the zombies, and the ones who hid died as well.
That teeth clacking thing is pretty scary.

This movie screamed for a sequel. Too bad it never came to be.
What was there for a sequel, they found the means to protect what was left of humanity for the infected, and used it to lure out, and purge the infected en masse. The zombie apocalypse was averted in its near entirety.
Thats it, it's done, what more is left after that for a zombie flick.

@@solidmoon8266 sequel could have fallen the same story as the book. A guy going around the world collecting stories about the war from beginning to end form different parts of the world. Stories from Americans in the heartland to a Chinese nuclear submarine crews.
@@user-gd8pq3gx4ethat’s what pissed my husband off about the movie. That the book is a collection of stories about other people. One story is fine if they’d added in a little extra by him collecting just one story, otherwise it’s not so much World War Z and more just a zombie movie.
God the book was so much better in every single way.we didn’t beat the disease or whatever.we closely reconquered the earth during winter when the zeds would freeze and it was mostly safe

My husband was excited for the movie but at the end he stood up and went “what the fuck was that shit!” Like they didn’t really even look at the source material before making this movie. To him, this movie doesn’t exist

Funnily enough, if you think about it they probably would have! Considering how slow some symptoms of either disease or vaccines can be, it could've taken some time for him to show signs of being ill. Even then, how a zombie senses the illness/vaccine is unclear. One could guess sent, but that would mean they would have to be next to him to smell it, and we've seen how some of them jump!
Yeah like the first one he encountered was like a vegetarian zombie and Pitt had a false sense of security. 😂

I wish more zombie movies had fast and powerful zombies like this one.
When Zombie outbreak does happen. The first thing the government should be focused on is evacuating as many scientists as possible and provide them with the safest environment and resources. Of course it’s also important to evacuate civilians as well.

This was such a good movie, we deserved a second one
It was great when this filmed here in Glasgow. I have a funny story involving my friend Neelum who was an extra. I worked as a runner on the shoot and everyone involved signed an NDA. My pal Neelum didn’t obey this all the time however so one time when we were out of set at the coffee place in Buchanan Galleries she was talking about certain scenes in public and luckily I had some silver tape in my backpack as I was required to have some for sticking down cables etc so I taped over Neelum’s mouth with said tape mission impossible style so she wouldn’t reveal anything to listening ears!

This is not that kind of zombie movie! It's a virus,and when the humans are infected...their goal is to spread it.Which is why they just bit them.
In every zombie story I know, from World War Z over The Last of Us or Game of Thrones to fucking Minecraft, the zombies never eat humans. They either bite or kill humans in order to make them become new zombies. If the zombies would eat their victims, how could the zombie virus spread?

0:27 to 0:42 These Zombies are perhaps the most interesting type of zombie I’ve ever seen. They’re smarter, stronger and faster than most others. Not to mention, you turn in less than 30 seconds. (They say it’s 12 seconds, but if you watch closely the first time someone turns on screen, it’s closer to 25 to 30 seconds.)
However, one thing I still don’t understand is this: if “you cannot make a dead person sick”, (as they say earlier in this film), then why do the Zombies avoid sick people? Do the other diseases cancel out the zombie virus? Do the Zombies feel empathy?
They avoid anyone who isn't able-bodied, so it isn't just about sickness - blind people, people missing legs, people with terminal illnesses, etc. because they won't be able to spread the disease, so why waste time when there are better, healthier options?
World War Z, a.k.a. if Brad Pitt shows up to your "safe zone," run like hell because shit's about to go down.
This is the best zombie film .

Since not much is known about what happened after the film and the game which takes place after the film established that more events like the Battle of Yonkers, Japan evacuation to Kamchatka, and European survivors taking shelter in forts happened and shows that survivors are still vulnerable to zombies, this is my headcanon of what happened after the film:
The development of the vaccine begins, which would take years to finish before being distributed. Before the distribution, military around the world learn about the information of what happened in the end of the film and then make a weapon from the game Masking Gas Grenade. Survivors around the world are living through the apocalypse while more cities are falling. More events from the novel like the Battle of Yonkers, Japan evacuation to Kamchatka, and European survivors taking place.
Years later, the vaccine is finally distributed. Survivors around the world can finally get to safety. The American government begin reclaiming the US, starting from the Battle of Hope to the Road to New York.
