when she shot the monster, there wasnt any blow back or in other words she didnt get pushed back by the force which there should be alot especially with a shotgun. Still very nice movie but those little things can make the movie a little less realistic.

I will never understand why the mom and dad thought it would be a good idea to have another baby after Beau’s death. Maybe it was an accident, but if it was intentional to “replace” Beau, especially in that world, was really stupid. Having that other baby was unnecessary. What we see in part II in the beginning was their world before the aliens came. Beau was still alive and they were living a normal life. What we see in the beginning of part I is a little over a year after they landed (right before Beau’s death). What I’m trying to explain is that the kids were old enough and understood why they had to stay quiet. A baby has no control of that and make a lot of noise.
