How would I get something like this? I usually carry extra climbing rope in my assault pack for extended operations so I can tie a swiss seat if Im in a situation where repelling is necessary however I'd love to get my hands on a hybrid setup like that.
you should make a vid on how to tie climbing knots and ctually rapel. also what jacket r u wearing?

Yeah, I looked it up thinking about buying it and assuming it was relatively cheap piece of kit like my climbing gear, then realized how crazy it was for my purposes...
Well just he belt itself without the micro 8 or Biner is 445. So with a good biner 5-15 dollars for a climbing biner plus another 20 for the micro 8 is about 470-80 dollars just on belt setup alone. The whole belt itself if probably about 550-600 dollars, and thats just the belt.

Yeah... I'd like to think some of them do this for a living irl. At the very least, they have great gear reviews. I must admit though, they think out a lot of their kit very well.

we may spend alot on this sport but just consider when i played lacross it cost almost the same ammount and i didnt have near as much fun. ive been playing the game for nearly 8 years and after a while you add parts little buy little and it doesnt seem lik that much. i mean hell i spent $1300 just on my primary gun.

Oh did they tell you that GMranger's where banned for repelling and breaking a window. Window was no biggie since 1) It was already broken. 2) They (the site) was going to demo the building. I like the GMR set up it's streamlined. But I don't need to buy the class 2 harness a BB will work just fine.

You are entitled to your views as much as I am, and I respect that. I just choose not to risk my life on this(and I haven't even had the chance to), but you are free to do as you please. The only reason I do not bag on these guys is that some of them served their time in the armed forces, However i really don't understand why they need this kind of gear to play airsoft. Some of their kit is real deal and i can understand it's fun and what not. But unless you use all that gear for real deal shit. It's really dumb IMO. Not bagging on Airsoft because we have used it as a training Aid and works well.

ZaneHolland I don't understand, it's not one or the other, it's not that they "can only simulate it", it's that they only want to simulate it, these guys all have jobs and playing airsoft and milsim is just a hobby, it's as dumb as telling someone who collects remote control cars to quit their job and become a formula 1 driver...
ZaneHolland They deserve to be whatever they want to pretend to be, uniform isn't earned, it's bought, from shops, with their own money and doing things they enjoy with their own time. You're the one with issue by romanticising the worth of a piece of clothing, there's a whole division of airsoft where people dress as ww2 soldiers, there's a whole scene of civil war re-enactment, none of those participants have "earned" those uniform, because if they had they'd be too old or too dead to be running around a field, this whole hobby is about immersive re-enactment, they don't want the commitment sacrifice or danger because that's not their job, it's their hobby. And I'm not sure why you're stating it's your opinion, that much is obvious.

Well for all my fellow Airsofter's and Milsim people as you know there really isn't a need for a class 2 harness on the field. However if your playing Airsoft as you would train for real steal and your Military or such....then maybe I can see spending over 400.00 on this.

Bungie jumping and skydiving are different because you they are something that you can't do without the risk of death. Airsoft, on the other hand, while one of my favorite things to do, I don't really think its something to risk your life over. And football is just gay.
