    Just made a few weeks ago similar kind of belt to use under battlebelt. Very nice to see that someone else is also thinking about loosing the buckle!

      @ZonedOutBass 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      LBT isn't the god of tactical gear lol Don't get me wrong I like them but they're not the win all tactical gear company. I prefer Ferro Concepts. It's all about personal preference. Don't get your booty tickled.

    Wouldn't the belt fold under a weighted load? Or is it designed for a minimal amount of gear?

    • @TriggerHapySheep
      @TriggerHapySheep 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      probably designed for like just a small holster or like one mag pouch lol

  • @nabby119
    @nabby119 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    With a dump pouch, duty sidearm, blowout pouch, knife and both pistol and rifle mags, how would this belt handle a medium amount of weight? I saw similar questions and responses to this and was personally wondering because my current riggers belt is very uncomfortable on my waist even when tightly secure. I want a tough belt that can hold weight but maintain comfort. Can this belt do that?

    • @HighReadyClips
      @HighReadyClips  8 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Honestly I used to carry a HUGE battle belt, but I found it had some serious limitations on my performance and for the amount of kit that I carried on it I only used maybe 10% of it consistently. As with all my gear I build it with my needs in mine, not to sound selfish or close minded but I really only fully understand what I need. I moved away from a lot of kit on my hips as I felt I could beat people in the moment with faster reflexive movements, athletic ability and capability to get better position rather then carrying a lot of toys and firepower. This concept is really a consciousness shift, I made this decision that I wanted all my kit to aid me, not hinder me. A massive load on your center of gravity I felt held my potential minimal level, now I carry the IWB pistol and one extra mag and feel like I am totally unrestricted. The issue is that weighing yourself down with kit and comfort rarely go together, rather this belt allows you to re-examine what do you actually need, and how can you carry that in the absolute best way. This belt will not be what everyone wants but its exactly what I always wanted. Thank you

      You don't run a dump pouch?

    • @Mythic2827
      @Mythic2827 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not that many people run dump pouches anymore.. And not talking about Airsoft lol. A lot of shooters (Even some Military personnel WITH FORM PERMISSION) don't use them. A little bit bulky now and most people rather would stay on target than having to reengage after dumping a mag in the pouch.

    • @nabby119
      @nabby119 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I completely disagree with that. I would say the majority of ground troops do in fact wear them as they are a good piece of equipment to use. If I were in any sort of special operations unit, I may not equip it as a needed piece of kit depending on the situation I am tasked with. That said, most ground troops use them because 1. they may still have rounds in a magazine 2. so they dont lose magazines in the field 3. Quick transitions in addition to my second point 4. other dropped or loose equipment can be quickly stored in a dump pouch. Personally, for milsim, dump pouches are extremely important to me as I dont want to lose magazines somewhere in the AO. It comes down to personal opinion when running a dump pouch and for groups like GMR or even real SpecOp units, having a group of shooters dedicated to using as little ammo as possible to dispose of a target makes it easier to get rid of a then, unnecessary piece of kit. Ya, if I ran 4 mags, had a straight shooting gun, and a group of other talented shooters, I wouldnt run a dump pouch either.

    • @nabby119
      @nabby119 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Btw, to your point about staying on target to engage it/them quickly is a good point, but then again, I can do a fast mag change with my AR only milliseconds faster than I can with a well practiced and thought out mag change using a dump pouch. Both require practice and skill but it honestly depends on the situation you will be encountering. Either way, it doesnt hurt to equip a dump pouch because in my mind, if someone is shooting at me and its a 1 on 1 fight out in the open, I dont give a fuck about the empty mag I just dumped on the ground. But, in a long firefight with a group of other trained fighters, adding a few milliseconds to put an empty mag in a pouch and slipping a fresh one into your weapon is not necessarily life or death, provided you have solid cover to do so.

    Amazing concept!!! Are you going to make add ons or different iterations of it. (Like one with Velcro panels on it for use of battle belts or riggers belts like the crye mrb, or the ronin tactical belts) Love the idea.

      The only things that have changed are the sigh, now being a Holosun (probably lighter than a eotech but still has the same reticle) and the 203 (Use it to launch taginn grenades to take out large groups of people or hit people behind cover)

    • @AmazingPillowZ
      @AmazingPillowZ 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, but i'm really interested in knowing how he fixed the m203 to his mk18 and why did he changed it up, for instance

    • @isaiahtorres6780
      @isaiahtorres6780 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      grenade launcher is barrel mounted, the mk18 is a two piece rail, the bottom was removed so that he could mount the grenade launcher.

    • @HighReadyClips
      @HighReadyClips  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This design is really for the essentials on your waist, if you want to do a drop leg I think it would be better suited to be the base layer pants belt then scale any overt battle belt of your choice with your offensive holster hanging down from it. This is truly a defensive and super flexible minded setup, don't let anyone know what you are carrying.

    hey GMR. active duty army.Is the elastic compression on the body from the belt really enough to balance out the lack of overall stiffness most duty/carry belts seem to have? I love the idea and would love to get one, just concerned with flopping over of material when carrying concealed appendix or OWB.

    • @HighReadyClips
      @HighReadyClips  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I tested multiple designs and configs for over 18 months and this is what I personally wear. You can see in the video I utilized the OWB "tactical" load while a super strenuous workout, sprinting, scaling walls etc. The compression of the elastic believe it or not gives so much retention as its not a static donut sitting on your hips sloshing around. It becomes part of your body. I would say that I do feel IWB is the best utilization of this design and you will feel like you aren't wearing a belt. I don't think you should hang a 6004 off it, this is really the belt for you if you want to comfortably carry everyday and not give the typical signals of a eye-catching tactical floatie.
