Most people are in agreement they are low high tier but still impressive nonetheless. The biggest flexes are normally melee like mew2king winning shit with pichu etc. In ultimate one of the biggest flexes has to be nairo clapping light with ganon who is literally the worst character in the entire game
To be fair, Ultimate is a phenomenally well-balanced game considering the roster size. You can win with mid-tiers because the gap between them and the top-tiers isn't that big.

12:35 Leo takes like 4 fireballs. Less than a minute later Leo punishes 2 fireballs and takes a stock. Like imagine your Elegant and you get 4 fireballs and your like "wow fireball doesn't usually work that well. Must be throwing him off tempo or maybe he doesn't know how to play around fireball that well" . Then a like 30 seconds later you throw one out but get hit off stage instead. Then your primal instincts kick in full gear and you know that the only answer that will work is another fireball cause that last hit was a fluke and you were messing him up with it earlier. Boom 💥 your stock is gone. I would have went Sora that last game too.
I think what's most impressive is not only beating spargo who is arguably top three best in the world at the moment but beating the best Pythra in the world who is a top tier character with a mid tier character is just crazy af.

Byleth is clearly a high tier with some minor weakness like speed and some average frame data. It's like chrome, a high tier with many good points but horrible recovery.

Matchups is another thing that brings byleth down along w speed and not too good of a recovery horizontally. Very strong character but he only looks that good because Leo reads the fuck out of people and that’s the type of character byleth is. He is mid tier getting played by the best in the world period.

@@KevSB07 it just depends on what side of the hitbox the opponent is in on the last connecting hit. back hitbox = they go behind you, front = they go in front. nairquake (landing nair) is the hitbox that sends lower, regular hits send up and away. the move itself isn’t really inconsistent, it’s just the limits of human interaction

Pyra/Mythra are an interesting character to play because they have a very exploitable recovery which is balanced by their oppressive advantage state and kill power. This is why Spargo can be up in many of the games but still end up losing due to an edge guard or ledge trap. Also, at the end of the match it was also very apparent that Leo was very willing to go for some crazy kills which probably ended up slightly rattling Spargo even though he maintained his composure quite well.
I think at the end sparg0 thought leo would go for a run off nair, as he kept doing that the entire set so that's why sparg0 jumped and air dodged but Leo was just waiting for that to take the game

They literally took Mewtwo's nair from Smash 4 and gave it to Byleth. For Ultimate they made Mewtwo's nair as janky as possible and now you have to have godlike reaction to combo off it. It sucks
To explain the shield break situation in game 4 vs Tea. Fully charged forward smash sweet spot at the edge is byleth's best kill option, Pacman is low enough percentage that down special probably won't kill but Fsmash might so he sets it up and barely mispaced the sweet spot.

Nah... 3 majors is plenty of time. If anything, Leo has gained lead on the competition over time with Byleth instead of Visa Versa, with the exception of Spargo and I think that's just because Spargo himself is getting really good and improving at a crazy rate.
